Chapter 37 - "Divine Authority Over the King of Heroe"

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The battlefield was chaos—everybody fighting their own war.

Only Luo Hao and Hestia stood high above, suspended in midair, watching the carnage below like it was a movie.

A few clueless Heroic Spirits tried to attack them, but every attempt ended the same way—erased with a casual flick of the wrist.

After that happened a few times, Iskandar's army learned their lesson fast. None of them dared to even glance their way again.

Meanwhile, Tohsaka Tokiomi, who was locked in combat with Irisviel, caught sight of the two women—and his heart sank.

That's when he realized just how badly he'd misjudged the strength of Alex's side.

Not only did Alex have three Servants, he also had several insanely strong allies. And now, even though the battle was already raging at full tilt, two of those powerhouses were still standing there, watching, doing absolutely nothing.

If they joined the fight… wouldn't that mean his side was doomed?

No. I can't keep holding back!

"Your Majesty! Their strength is overwhelming—please, use your Noble Phantasm!" Tokiomi shouted toward Gilgamesh, who was clashing with Morgan.

To everyone's surprise, the King of Heroes didn't argue.

Morgan was just too strong. No matter what weapon he pulled from the Gate of Babylon, she always had a counterspell ready. It was starting to frustrate even him.

So, for once, he agreed.

"Hmph. Very well. Then I'll defeat you with the greatest treasure of the King!"

He leapt backward, creating distance, and drew a strange-looking sword from his vault.

A golden hilt, a black blade divided into three rotating cylindrical segments, each engraved with crimson runes—Morgan's eyes narrowed.

Danger. This wasn't like Excalibur—this felt even more dangerous.

"Fairy Queen of Avalon, your power is worthy of my recognition," Gilgamesh declared proudly. "Now let us end this in a single strike!"

As he spoke, the three segments of his sword began to spin faster and faster.

"The primordial era—when heaven and earth were torn apart!Nothingness itself rejoices in creation!By the might of my Ea, the rift of worlds, the cradle of stars—Let the hells of the heavens meet their end before the dawn of creation!Enuma Elish!"

A blinding crimson light exploded from the sword, tearing open cracks in Iskandar's Reality Marble.

"Crap!" Alex and Tokiomi cursed almost in unison.

The sheer power of Ea was beyond anything Tokiomi had expected—it was so overwhelming that it shattered his own ally's Noble Phantasm.

If Ionioi Hetairoi collapsed, they'd lose their numerical advantage completely. And even if Gilgamesh managed to defeat Morgan, without enough mana for another blast, how could they possibly hold off Alex's group afterward?

Sure, Alex only had two Servants left—but he also had a small army of other monsters fighting for him.

Alex himself grew tense as he watched Gilgamesh unleash Ea.

Morgan was strong—ridiculously strong—but her strength lay in offense, not defense.Could she really take that hit head-on?

No. He clenched his teeth. I can't let her take that risk.

"Sis! Help Morgan!"

He kicked away a Heroic Spirit soldier and shouted toward Luo Hao, who was still floating in the sky.

Luo Hao's lips curled into a faint, amused smile.

Hestia, on the other hand, immediately puffed up in jealousy. "Hey! I could help her too, you know! Why didn't you ask me, Alex?"

Alex's mouth twitched. "…Is now really the time for that?"

Morgan faced Gilgamesh's strike with a grim expression. She transformed her staff into the massive cross-shaped shield, The Distant Ideal Castle, ready to counter with her own Noble Phantasm.

But before she could release it, Luo Hao flashed forward, appearing right in front of her.

"Impressive attack," she said coolly, her voice calm as still water. "But in the end, it's just a Servant's Noble Phantasm. Even an EX-class one has its limits."

Her eyes gleamed.

"Heaven's path is clear,Earth's path is still,Humanity's path is empty."

Her soft chant suddenly boomed like thunder.

"Ha!"

Authority: Dragon's Roar, Tiger's Cry!

This was a divine ability she'd stolen from the Hindu goddess of hymns, Gayatri—turning her voice and breath into devastating ultrasonic shockwaves. The longer the chant, the greater the power. Even a brief verse could generate winds strong enough to blast away colossal beasts. If Luo Hao unleashed it without restraint… the destruction would be unimaginable.

And now, with a single word—"Ha!"—the roaring beam of Enuma Elish shattered.

The impossible happened.

Everyone froze. Even Gilgamesh was left staring in stunned disbelief.

That was an EX-class Noble Phantasm capable of ripping apart an entire Reality Marble… and she'd just yelled it into oblivion?

Was this even real?

"She's insane…" Alex thought, jaw dropping. "When I get strong enough, I swear I'm going to visit her world and take down a god myself!"

Meanwhile, the group chat exploded.

Misaka Mikoto: "Holy crap! She's a monster!"

Erza Scarlet: "That power… even the Ten Wizard Saints couldn't compare!"

Yotsuya Miko: "That's ridiculous! She shouted and erased a world-destroying attack?!"

Tsunade: "That wasn't a shout—that was a divine authority."

Tokisaki Kurumi: "If I had that kind of power, I'd avenge myself against the Original Spirit!"

Misaka Mikoto: "Kurumi, could you not bring that up every single time?"

Busujima Saeko: "Damn… how much hatred are you carrying, girl?"

Alex, relieved that Luo Hao had intercepted Ea, finally exhaled.

While everyone else was still frozen in shock, he wasted no time.He hurled his spear, impaling three Heroic Spirit soldiers in one throw.

"I am the bone of my sword!"

Chanting the incantation of Unlimited Blade Works, he manifested a greatsword in his hands and threw it again.

He'd never had the chance to copy weapons before, but this war had changed that.

From the soldiers' arms to the treasures Gilgamesh launched from his Gate, to every Servant's blade present—everything except Ea—Alex had already duplicated them all.

His inner world was filling up fast.

Of course, copying weapons required mana—and the stronger the weapon, the more it drained. But Alex had Beiming Divine Art; whenever he ran low, he simply crippled a Heroic Spirit and absorbed their energy.

His ruthless efficiency snapped the rest of the battlefield out of their stupor.

Because Luo Hao had dispersed Ea's blast, Iskandar's Reality Marble healed itself, sealing the cracks once more.

Tokiomi watched, unsure whether to feel relief or sheer terror.

Relief that the Reality Marble was intact…Terror that a single woman had just casually destroyed an EX-class Noble Phantasm.

And she didn't even look like she'd tried.

"..."
