Chapter 1029 - Chapter 426: Forever Children Before the Professor_2

"I think the scales have become smaller."

"No, they haven't." Neville said without looking back, circling around Hermione and whispered, "Hermione, what kind of boys do you think Luna would like?"

"She likes quieter ones, not so fussy." Hermione rolled her eyes; she slightly regretted bringing along Neville, who was in love mode.

They went downstairs to eat in the dining hall.

Suddenly, a voice sounded beside them.

"Hey, Harry."

Harry turned his head to see Luna.

"Oh, it's Luna." Harry said nonchalantly, eating his cereal, "Good morning."

"It's already noon now." Luna spoke like she was singing, completely oblivious to Neville, whose eyes were glued to her: "By the way, I came to find Hermione—where is she?"

"She was just here..." Harry looked around for a while, noticing Hermione and Ron were nowhere to be found.

"Then I'll wait for them here for a bit." Luna nodded.

Neville's eyes lit up.

He moved his tray and sat on the other side of Luna.

"Um, Luna..." He began awkwardly.

"What's up? Neville?" Luna turned her head, looked at Neville, then reached up above his head to swat away something as if shooing flies: "You seem troubled? I saw many wrackspurts bothering you."

"Really? Do I?" Neville asked, a bit sheepishly.

"Certainly." Luna said seriously, "There are swarms of wrackspurts around you, how long has this been going on?"

"I, I don't know." Neville said sheepishly, "I don't know what wrackspurts are, I can't see them..."

"Oh, it's normal that you can't see them; very few people can see these creatures." Luna said earnestly.

Before Neville could speak, Draco's mocking voice rang out from a distance.

"Hey, Longbottom, when did you hook up with Lovegood?" He taunted, "A nutcase and a fool, sure it's quite a match, huh?"

"Shut up, Malfoy!" Neville retorted, "Better than you, you're just a lone wolf, what do you have to say!"

Draco laughed even louder.

However, his laughter suddenly stopped.

Because he saw Ginny walk in from outside.

Draco quickly slinked back to the long table, pretending to seriously eat his meal.

"What's up with him?" Neville asked curiously.

"He has many wrackspurts too."

Luna's voice was ethereal; she didn't take the word "nutcase" to heart—in fact, when Draco insulted her...well, to her, it wasn't an insult. The words from her fellow Ravenclaw girls were much harder to hear.

"Don't bother with her, Luna." Neville said with a pout, "He's not a good person; even if he gets buzzed to death by wrackspurts, it's none of our business."

"Hmm." Luna nodded, "I'll listen to you, Neville, not bother with him."

Shortly after, Hermione and Ron returned.

"Where did you guys go?" Harry asked curiously, "Luna's been waiting for you, Hermione."

"We went out to check some things," Hermione said, her face a bit flushed, "You know, we're Class Prefects, we have some responsibilities at Hogwarts, right?"

Harry instantly saw through Hermione's lie but didn't expose her.

Everyone has their little secrets, right?

Moreover, once they are back tonight interrogating Ron, the problem will naturally be resolved.

After eating in the dining hall, they all headed to the library.

Mrs. Pince frowned when she saw them group together, but eventually let them in.

Sebastian was not in the library; he was chatting with Omnius's portrait, so he didn't see Harry and Annie sitting together reading.

If he did, Saru would be 100% jealous.

"We need to find a lot of information, but I plan to start with fun History of Magic." Hermione said, "Help me pick, vote for the one you think is best."

"No loud noises in the library!" Mrs. Pince's voice came in timely.

"Let's start by finding." Harry raised his head, "Find a few simple and fun incidents, then you elaborate on them."

After speaking, Harry looked down and began searching for Magic History events that interested him.

About an hour passed, and everyone chose a few Magic History stories they were interested in.

After discussion, it was decided that Hermione would explain the stories of Demon Emerick and Strange Yuri.

Demon Emerick was a short-lived but highly aggressive wizard. He once became the master of the Elder Wand, exercising terror in southern England during the early Middle Ages.

He was "slaughtered" in a duel with Evil Monster Egbert.

On History of Magic class, Professor Bin mentioned him, but Hogwarts students often confused Demon Emerick with Strange Yuri.

Strange Yuri was born in the British Isles during the Middle Ages, but no earlier than 982.

He attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a young man and was sorted into Ravenclaw College.

Newt recorded stories about Strange Yuri in "Where to Find Magical Creatures," saying, "It is known that Strange Yuri once slept in a room with more than fifty pet augury. During a particularly damp winter, Yuri, listening to the cries of his auguries, believed he had died and was now just an undead. He then attempted to pass through the walls of his house to go outside, resulting in what his biographer, Radolpho Pitman, described as a 'ten days of concussion'.'

For a time, Strange Yuri attempted to prove that the cry of the Evil Witch Bird was actually beneficial to human health.

After listening to the Evil Witch Birds' cries for three straight months, he presented his findings to the Wizard Council.

The council was unmoved, as Yuri arrived with nothing but a tiny wig on his head, but upon closer inspection, it turned out the wig was actually a dead badger.

Thus, he was considered one of the most eccentric wizards in history, and he frequently became a point of laughter in wizard jokes.

After they collected all the information about these two individuals, they left the library with their handwritten notes.

They invited Luna to visit the Gryffindor common room. While sitting on a sofa, Ron suddenly said, "How do you plan to tell the stories of these two people, Hermione?"

"Just tell them normally." Hermione was a bit confused.

"Show me an example." Ron said.

Hermione, puzzled, started explaining to Ron, holding a draft she had just finished a third of.

Unexpectedly, Ron felt something wasn't quite right as he listened.

"No, Hermione, it's not working." Ron tapped the coffee table, "I think your storytelling is not much different from Professor Bin's...perhaps you could think of adding some flair?"

Hermione thought Ron was being rude, what did he mean by "not much different from Professor Bin's"?

I tell them amazingly...

Ugh, Ron, you don't appreciate my masterpiece...

"Don't forget, Hermione." Ron noticed the change in Hermione's expression and immediately reminded her: "You're supposed to present interesting bits of knowledge—interesting! You know? The focus must be on the word 'interesting'...if your knowledge isn't interesting enough, what else would attract the audience?"

You know, Ron definitely hit the nail on the head, Hermione fell into contemplation.

"How about this?" Seamus said, pulling his lips away from Lavender's, "Why not try a different approach, add some flair? Like hardcore tales of Strange Yuri or something..."
