Chapter 303 - Chapter 147: Teach Grindelwald a Lesson! (Second Update)

A few people at the Slytherin table showed displeased expressions, but since they were in the dining hall at the moment, they didn't say anything.

Miss Farrell, however, gave Harry a meaningful look, then glanced at Vivi's back.

Then, with a wave of Dumbledore's hands, all sorts of delicious foods instantly appeared on the long tables of each house.

Without a word, Ron grabbed a chicken leg with one hand and began a Titan's Grip.

"Is it a reward for winning twice in the Wizard Chess tournament, and so you're having two chicken legs?" Seamus teased from the side.

Hearing this, Ron turned his head and rolled his eyes, but said nothing, continuing his battle with the chicken leg.

After the feast, Vivi said goodbye to Harry and followed Miss Farrell back to the Slytherin common room.

Miss Farrell, having considered for a long time, finally decided to assign Vivi to her dormitory — being the Class Prefect, her authority is... well, it's limited, but she does have a single-person dormitory.

This was all caused by the large hands invisible to the prefects.

"Hello, Miss Grindelwald." Farrell extended her hand, "I am Jemma Farrell, Slytherin's Class Prefect."

"Hello, Miss Farrell." Vivi smiled reservedly and sat opposite Miss Farrell.

Before long, Luqi suddenly appeared and began tidying up Vivi's bed.

"Is that your House-Elf?" Miss Farrell asked with interest, "Heavens, I've never heard that Hogwarts allows House-Elves to serve students on campus."

"Perhaps I am somewhat special." Vivi laughed it off carelessly.

"So, are you really, as outsiders say, a descendant of... well, Mr. Grindelwald?" Miss Farrell asked tentatively.

"No, I'm not." Vivi picked up the water cup.

Upon hearing Vivi's answer, Miss Farrell didn't know whether she should be happy or relieved, but in the end, she felt an inexplicable sense of loss.

Perhaps she didn't realize that she actually hoped the other person was a descendant of that Grindelwald.

"So are you English?" Miss Farrell asked again.

"I am German." Vivi stated an identity she had always strongly identified with.

Yes, not Austrian, not Hungarian, not even German, but... German.

"Oh, you're German." Miss Farrell realized, "I too had once the fortune to visit Germany several times with my father, the pork knuckles and sausages there are really quite tasty..."

Vivi did not respond but simply gazed at Miss Farrell with gentle eyes, as if to see through her completely.

"Mistress." Luqi's voice sounded next to them, "Luqi has already arranged your luggage, and the books have also been sorted as per your request on the bookshelf."

"Alright, thank you, Luqi." Vivi said gently.

"Mistress... Mistress is always so gentle with Luqi..." Luqi's big eyes blinked twice, tears nearly spilling, "Oh my, Mistress..."

"Alright Luqi, it's nothing." Vivi smiled and said, "Maybe you should go home and sleep, it's getting late, and I still need to chat with Miss Farrell."

"Yes, Mistress." Luqi wiped her tears and with a pop, disappeared from the spot.

Miss Farrell's eyes showed some envy, she too seemed to want a House-Elf to come to school.

But she knew the school rules; without the permission of the headmaster and the School Board, how could they possibly bring a House-Elf to serve people at the school?

She thought to herself, this Miss Grindelwald must be a descendant of that Grindelwald, perhaps she just didn't want to cause trouble.

After all, only that person could pave such a convenient path for their descendants, right?

"After asking so many questions, we should talk about you, Miss Farrell." Vivi placed her hands on her lap.

"Ask away, Miss Grindelwald." Miss Farrell said.

"I want to know when Slytherin became like this?" Vivi asked softly.

"Became like this?" Miss Farrell was stunned, "Slytherin has always been like this, hasn't it? Why say 'became'?"

"In my impression, Slytherin should be shrewd, competent, and know how to size up the situation, rather than just clinging to the so-called 'Pure Blood' ideology and abandoning all other qualities."

As Vivi said this, she glanced out the window.

"But purity of blood is something Slytherin has always adhered to." Miss Farrell retorted.

"Yes, I indeed acknowledge that." Vivi said softly, "Pure blood has always been a tenet of Slytherin College, but it's just one of them — we are ambitious, value honor, know how to size up the situation, put victory above all... but now? Apart from calling some Muggle-born wizards 'Mudbloods', what else can we do?"

Miss Farrell opened her mouth, she wanted to rebut, but found herself unable to speak.

After all, the truth is a double-edged sword.

"Of course, you who have been indoctrinated with the ideology of the You-Know-Who, have given up some of the excellent qualities of Slytherin, this is not your fault, but a misfortune accumulated by generations of Slytherins." Vivi said softly, "I think it's time to correct these erroneous ways."

Miss Farrell suddenly remembered that after the Sorting, Vivi still sat with Harry.

"Do you care a lot about the opinions of other houses?" she asked tentatively.

She thought, Harry probably spoke to her about Slytherin, which is why she had such thoughts.

"It's my opinion." Vivi said with a gentle smile, "And simultaneously, it's your opinion of yourselves — one can be as humble as dust, but not twisted like a maggot."

"I understand, Miss Grindelwald." Miss Farrell nodded, though she didn't agree with Vivi.

In her opinion, those people in Slytherin who weren't under her influence had nothing to do with her however they turned out.

"Well, there is another question." Vivi said softly, "You seem to be quite familiar with Harry? I'd like to hear your story with him."

Upon hearing this, Miss Farrell instinctively felt a chill on her tailbone.

Such... such a caught-in-the-act feeling...

She conceived her response almost instantaneously.

Then, she recounted everything in detail, from her duel with Harry up to the Christmas gifts, leaving nothing out.

Meanwhile, Vivi's gaze transformed from being full of smiles to calm and composed.

"So that's how it is…" Vivi said with some realization, "Alright, it's getting late, I think we should go to sleep, shouldn't we?"

"Yes, Miss Grindelwald." Miss Farrell immediately agreed.

To everyone's surprise, Miss Grindelwald dined at Gryffindor's long table for several consecutive days.

Regarding this matter, Gryffindors themselves didn't mind too much, after all, a Slytherin coming over for a meal and some learning wasn't a big deal.

Plus, she was just a transfer student who had just arrived at Hogwarts, and they had no grudge or blame against Gryffindor...

But the Slytherins did not see it this way.

Even if she bore the Grindelwald name, and might be a descendant of that Grindelwald, she shouldn't stoop so low as to get so cozy with Gryffindor, or even mingle pleasantly with that Master of All Things Mudblood.

What, isn't there anyone in Slytherin you care about?

But everyone feared the Grindelwald name, no one wanted to be the first to act.

So a few days passed, watching silently, in class, this Miss Grindelwald's performance was mediocre, and her grasp of Magic Spells could only be said to be so-so.

However, just when they were poised to move, a little rumor spread from somewhere.

This Miss Grindelwald wasn't a descendant of Mr. Grindelwald, just happened to have the same surname.

Knowing the "truth", several sixth and seventh-year Slytherin students quickly teamed up to give this Grindelwald a good lesson one evening.
