Chapter 193 - Chapter 125: Shocking Snape for a Whole Year (Bonus for 13,000/14,000 Monthly Tickets)

Except for Slytherin, no one liked Magic Potion class, which was an undisputed fact.

Even Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, the two Colleges not targeted by Snape, shared the same sentiment.

However, graduates could somewhat understand Professor Snape's mindset, because when it comes to Magic Potion, even a small error in the steps could lead to failure, or even turn it into poison.

Being slightly relaxed in class, missing a piece of knowledge or a step, could potentially be the main reason for a potion backlash in the future.

The Friday afternoon Magic Potion class was still a one-and-a-half-hour lecture, and like in the first year, Gryffindor students still had to take the class together with Slytherin students.

After lunch, Neville fell into pre-class anxiety.

"Harry..." Neville said while absentmindedly eating the sandwich in his hand, "Oh no, it's Magic Potion class again, Magic Potion class..."

Harry sympathetically patted Neville on the back, thinking he should find an opportunity to talk to Professor Snape about Neville's situation.

After all, he couldn't let the kid go on like this. Neville was already not very confident, and the relentless taunts from Professor Snape had completely eradicated his confidence in Magic Potion.

"Neville, you should stand tall." Ron appeared to be unfazed, "It's just Magic Potion class, I don't think Professor Snape is that scary, it's just points being deducted, Gryffindor doesn't care..."

"Really?" Neville and Snape said simultaneously.

Immediately, Neville sensed something was wrong.

He turned around and met Professor Snape's black eyes.

"Since Mr. Weasley doesn't care about Gryffindor's points, well... Gryffindor, deduct three points, have a nice day."

Professor Snape smirked triumphantly and swept away.

Being overheard by Professor Snape and having three points mercilessly deducted, Ron felt completely disheartened.

"Goodness! Why does he always manage to appear right behind us?" Ron whispered angrily, "I think he must've cast some tracking magic spell on us, to alert him whenever we mention him, so he can come over and deduct points!"

"Ron, you should say less." Hermione whispered in warning, "Unless you want to be caught by him, goodness!"

Harry glanced up to see Snape already seated at the teacher's desk, confirming he wouldn't overhear his words. He shrugged, saying, "I think Ron's right, he's just like a ghost haunting us."

Ron let out a snort of laughter but managed to hold it in.

He looked up to confirm Snape's position, seeing he wouldn't notice what they were talking about, and started shaking with laughter over his desk.

Harry's description just now had really amused him. Ghost haunting... was indeed quite fitting, describing Professor Snape with no issues.

However, Seamus's next sentence silenced him.

"Laughing doesn't help, we still have to go to Magic Potion class... Goodness, I really wish there was something magical to let me quickly grasp Magic Potion courses..."

"That's right, not expecting to add points in class, just hoping Professor Snape won't deduct points." Hermione whispered as well.

Ron whispered complaining: "You just need not answer questions for the best contribution to Gryffindor College points, Hermione."

Hearing Ron's words, Hermione's eyebrows shot up, angrily glancing at Ron.

Ron hastily turned away, not daring to meet Hermione's gaze.

This kid is done for this lifetime, Harry shook his head, sighing.

Even if they increasingly didn't want to attend Magic Potion class, they still had to go for it.

Close to three o'clock, Gryffindor students walked in heavy footsteps, opposite to Slytherins, dragging their feet into the Potion classroom.

In just a while, Professor Snape gusted into the classroom.

Very cool.

Harry retracted his textbook, to prevent oil from Snape's hair from splattering onto his book as he flicked his hair.

Of course, Snape noticed Harry's slight movement, though he couldn't quite discern Harry's thoughts—based on Harry's expression, Snape could maliciously speculate a bit anyway.

"This class... we will learn how to brew Weed-removal Potion." Professor Snape said softly.

He looked around at the students, pulling a very forced smile.

"So, who can tell me, what is a Weed-removal Potion?"

As his words fell, Hermione promptly raised her hand.

Snape automatically overlooked Hermione, looking towards the Slytherin side.

What surprised him was, there was another person who raised their hand.

It was Pansy Parkinson.

Professor Snape did not mind having Slytherin answer that question, adding a bit to his College's points.

"Miss Parkinson, you answer the question." He signaled for Pansy to stand and respond.

Pansy stood up and confidently answered: "Weed-removal Potion, also called Herbicide, is a potion used to kill or remove plants. Its recipe can be found in 'Magic Potions and Elixirs'."

Professor Snape's face lit up with a smile, he nodded: "Very good, Miss Parkinson, Slytherin adds five points—then, can you tell me, its recipe?"

"To brew Weed-removal Potion requires the following ingredients: Flubber Worm Slime, Hoklap Juice, and Scorpion Fish Spine." Pansy replied confidently.

The Scorpionfish is not a magical creature but a common fish found in the ocean—because when Scorpionfish spread its wide pectoral fins, it resembles a majestic lion and is commonly known as 'Lionfish'.
