Chapter 154 - Chapter 154: Uncle Jackie’s Unique Fighting Style

Chapter 154: Uncle Jackie's Unique Fighting Style

At Gray Terminal, two kids and a gang of pirates who had clearly been threatened by someone were busy chasing off thugs and drifters.

They ran through the alleys yelling, "Get out of here!" and, "We're burning this place down, this is an order from the nobles of Goa Kingdom!" Using a fake royal decree, they scared the terrified residents into scattering.

Gion also noticed something else.

This group of pirates looked like they had received very specific instructions. They were acting… oddly "well behaved."

They drove the people away, but the moment they spotted real pirates still hanging around, they did not light anything. Instead, they searched every corner, sweeping the area like they were hunting for stragglers.

"…Damn it, that bastard!"

How could Gion not realize she had been played?

Roy had forced these pirates to stage this on purpose.

He had Sanji, Luffy, and the pirates drive everyone out first, then used the threat of burning Gray Terminal and "conquering" Goa Kingdom to bait her into moving.

And the worst part was, it worked.

Gion was a Marine with a sense of justice. She had no choice but to come. It was a calculated move.

In reality, once the residents were evacuated, even if the place burned down, nobody would die. But Gion, unaware of the trick, would believe she arrived too late and people died because she failed, then she would carry that guilt.

Hateful.

Cunning.

"Arrest them all!"

Gion pointed at the pirates. The Marines raised guns and drew swords, then swarmed in.

These were not some local weaklings. The troops Gion brought from Headquarters were elites, male and female alike, all highly trained.

Those pirates did not stand a chance.

Gion did not even bother staying to watch.

She spun on her heel, cloak flaring, and used Shave as she rushed straight back toward the warship.

She did not need to supervise. The Headquarters Marines could capture these troublemakers with their eyes closed.

"Run, run, Luffy!"

Sanji grabbed Luffy's hand and bolted into the forest. Before the Marines even reached the area, the sharp minded Sanji had already dragged Luffy away.

Master Roy said that if they got caught by the Navy, something terrible would happen.

The two kids were so scared they ran like their lives depended on it.

What Roy did not say was that the truly terrifying part was… they would be dragged off and recruited into the Navy.

Unfortunately, they ran too fast. Otherwise, the future might have gained an incredible alternate tale.

""Sanji and Luffy, Marine Admirals," the secret sequel nobody asked for."

Back to the present.

Roy activated his Observation Haki, feeling his way forward as he slipped through the warship like a ghost.

When he could not sneak any farther and ran into a Marine with sharp instincts, he knocked them out, slapped seastone cuffs on them, hid them somewhere out of sight, and continued toward the temporary prison.

Roy had discovered a brand new form of stealth for the world.

There was no infiltration you could not complete. If stealth failed, just knock out, or kill, whoever saw you.

Stealth succeeded again.

Until…

Charlotte Galette saw the handsome, heroic redhead standing outside the bars across from her.

She truly wanted to call him, "Your Majesty," because Linlin had told her to treat him like a king.

But Roy raised a finger to his lips.

"Shh."

Then, under Galette's stunned gaze…

He placed both hands on the iron railing and began bending it, slowly and silently.

Before long, he pried open a gap just wide enough for a person to squeeze through.

Wow… so strong!

Galette stared as he tore open the cage with his bare hands.

He has not even used Armament Haki yet.

He was the kind of monster who could break iron raw.

Roy stepped inside and reached for the chains binding her.

"No, you probably cannot break that. It is seastone."

Galette hurriedly warned him.

She did not know if the chains would break, but she knew they would bite into her until she screamed.

"Alright…"

Roy turned as if to leave, ready to find a Marine and search for the key.

"Do not bother. Just go. The key is with Gion, she is probably already on her way."

Galette shook her head quickly.

Her mother told her to find Roy, and she had found him. She did not want him caught by the Navy.

"Then I do not have a choice."

Roy sighed. He could not exactly face Gion head on.

If they only wanted to capture him, fine.

But if they came with Tsuru's request…

Forget it. Better to stay hidden.

Roy grabbed the chain that disappeared into the deck and yanked hard.

The line ripped free from the ship's structure, shocking Galette.

Under the seastone chain, there was a heavy iron block attached.

A safety measure.

Seastone drained a prisoner's strength, and most prisoners could not break even ordinary iron blocks while chained.

Four iron chains locked the limbs to an inner layer, connected to iron weights embedded inside.

Even if a prisoner escaped the cell, they would sink.

Roy was not a Devil Fruit user.

He gripped the connection point between the iron block and the chain, then threw a punch.

"This has to be a joke…"

Galette's eyes went wide.

He cracked the iron block with one blow.

Roy hit it again. Shattered metal clattered to the ground, and the seastone chain sagged loose.

Then he repeated it, snapping the other chains free from their iron anchors.

Devil users cannot break seastone, but he can smash steel.

Without another word, Roy helped Galette up and moved to leave.

"No… I cannot… I have no strength."

Galette's legs gave out and she toppled sideways.

Roy caught her immediately. His gaze flicked over her dangerously perfect figure, then he simply lifted her into his arms and headed for the door.

A Marine rounded the corner, about to shout.

Roy turned, still carrying Galette, and Galette's heel smashed straight into the Marine's head.

The unlucky Marine dropped unconscious without making a sound.

Galette stared at Roy in disbelief.

She… he…

She became a weapon?

There was a fighting style like this?

Galette's shock leveled up again.

Roy set her down for a brief second, letting her lean against him.

With his free hand, he punched a Marine who tried to creep in from the corner, dropping him like a sack.

"You…"

Before Galette could finish, Roy tugged her left hand and pulled her to the other side.

Bang.

Another Marine who rushed in got slammed to the deck.

"We have been discovered. Stay quiet, I will get you out."

Roy spoke calmly.

Galette nodded blankly.

She was supposed to be the ruthless, cold assassin.

So why did this man feel even more terrifying than her?

He was better at fighting than she was.

And this way of fighting…

It made her heart race in a way she did not understand.

It saved people and crushed enemies at the same time.

Who invented something this shameless?

Roy hoisted her up again, and Galette grew even more flustered.

No. No.

She could not think like that. This was someone Mother cared about, she could not…

Galette, the emotionless assassin, blushed and lowered her head.

Roy swung her slightly in his arms, then kicked a charging Marine away with her high heel like it was the most natural thing in the world.

"Ugh… I cannot take this kind of fighting anymore…"

Galette cried out helplessly in her heart.
