Chapter 36 - Chapter 35 - Chaotic Dinner

"It's nothing; I can't help but look at your beautiful children." Elia replied with a gentle and graceful tone; she looked at the three Tully children with a deep gaze. The golden hair and green eyes were so characteristic of House Lannister that there was no Tully trait in the children.

"After all, they are my sons and daughter." Cersei spoke with her lips raised, apparently satisfied with Elia's words. There was a sense of superiority in her gaze, especially looking at Rhaenys's mixed appearance and Aegon's pure appearance.

And although Aegon looked like a Targaryen from head to toe, he did not have Rhaegar's strength or intelligence, meaning weak seeds with Dornish blood in Cersei's eyes.

But Elia's next words made Cersei's smile stiffen. "They look so much like Ser Jaime that sometimes I think he is the father."

Silence took over the surroundings for a moment. Everyone's eyes focused on Queen Elia and Cersei; whispers began to echo in the dining hall. However, many eyes focused on Cersei's sons and daughter. Just as the queen said, there was no trait of the father in the children.

Some eyes fell on House Stark. Seeing the appearances of Robb, Sansa, and Arya, many eyes showed strange looks.

Although Robb and Sansa did not have many Stark features, everyone could see a resemblance to the Lord of the North, and Arya was a Stark from head to toe. As for Tommen, Myrcella, and Joffrey, all three looked like a mold of Cersei.

It would be normal for one or two to look alike; after all, House Stark was there as an example, but all three? The looks directed at Cersei could not be stranger at the moment.

If she were a Targaryen, it would be fine; everyone was already used to it and ignored it, but Cersei was from House Lannister, which repudiates these heinous acts with all its might.

"Of course, they look a little like Uncle, since we are twin siblings." Cersei spoke with a smile, but there was a cold and murderous look behind her calm gaze. She hated Elia for stealing her dragon and making her marry a fish; now she hated her even more. She really wanted to tear Elia's flesh and drink her blood.

"I know that; what did you think I was talking about?" Elia showed a genuine expression of confusion and asked in an innocent tone. She was laughing inside, seeing that Cersei was actually trying to explain. Although she knew Cersei was not that intelligent and easily impulsive, she never thought it would be so easy.

However, to prevent Cersei from escaping her trap, she looked at Edmure with a penetrating and cold gaze. If there was anyone more cowardly and incompetent in that dining hall, it was the Heir of Riverrun; even the children in the place were more competent than this cowardly man.

Cersei clenched her teeth tightly, knowing she had fallen into Elia's trap. Having explained before Elia said anything else only made her situation even more passive.

Under the queen's gaze, Edmure, who was about to speak, fell silent instantly. It was as if he were before a snake staring at its prey. The fear was so great that his face slightly paled. He shrank back and did not dare to look into the queen's eyes.

Seeing Edmure's reaction, a dark and cold look reflected in Cersei's eyes. If Edmure had defended her, she might have escaped the trap, but her imposing husband could not even be brave before a fragile and sick woman.

Cersei couldn't help but feel relieved that she had never given him a son or daughter. Such a weak man could never generate a descendant worthy of the sons and daughter she had with her twin brother. She was sure that, even without resorting to Moon Tea, Edmure's weak seed would never have managed to take root in her womb.

When Cersei's brain was working at full speed, trying to find a way to try to diminish the rumors that would spread from this dinner, an unexpected voice sounded in the place.

"My sister thought too much, my queen; our Lannister blood has always been strong, and all Lannisters have golden hair." Tyrion spoke at that moment; he looked at the queen with a respectful gaze.

"You are right, my lord; lion's blood has always been strong in the descendants of House Lannister. I hope these children are as strong and warrior-like as their uncle." Elia smiled at Tyrion and spoke in a sweet and gentle voice. She did not mention the father for obvious reasons.

"I also hope so; Tommen and Joffrey will be great knights like my brother and will bring honor and glory to House Tully." Tyrion's smile deepened as he looked at the queen. His palms were sweating before Queen Elia's curious but penetrating gaze.

Elia couldn't help but think that the Dwarf was cunning with words, but looking at Tommen and Joffrey, she scoffed inside. One was as sweet as a girl, and the other seemed so arrogant that someone might think he was a prince. She seriously doubted they would be great warriors like Jaime Lannister.

Cersei stared at Tyrion with a grateful look, but this look soon turned to disgust, seeing Tyrion's ugly appearance and different colored eyes.

Noticing this, Tyrion regretted having helped Cersei; he really wondered if there was a brain inside Cersei's skull, as he had never seen anyone so stupid as to look with disgust at their own savior.

"This is so interesting." Cadmus, who was watching everything, couldn't help but comment to Daenerys.

Seeing Cadmus's genuinely animated appearance, Daenerys couldn't help but find it extremely cute and laughed. "My Good Sister has always fought with Cersei; they both hate each other to the extreme; you will see a lot of this in the future."

"I can imagine Cersei's hatred; after all, Cersei would have married Rhaegar if it weren't for Elia." Cadmus said with a laugh, finding the battle of words before him extremely amusing. If it weren't for Queen Elia's fragile health, he could assume they would fight physically.

After all, Elia was a Martell; a sand snake is always a sand snake.

Daenerys nodded and was relieved that Rhaegar had not married someone like Cersei. If there was a venomous snake in the place, it was Cersei. She had never seen a woman as vile as Cersei, and she lived in King's Landing, the home of the most cunning and cruel ladies in the Seven Kingdoms.

Suddenly, Daenerys looked at Cadmus and asked in a confused tone. "Lady Margaery looked at you about twenty-two times. While everyone was focused on the conflict, she kept looking at you."

Cadmus looked out of the corner of his eye and indeed saw Margaery, who was next to Aegon, discreetly looking at him, and couldn't help but look at Daenerys with a surprised look. The princess was truly observant.

Showing a smile, Cadmus did not feel fear or nervousness; he really was not afraid of what Daenerys would think if she knew what happened the night before. He just commented with a laugh. "The beautiful flower of House Tyrell is quite interesting; she likes manipulation."

Daenerys understood the implications of Cadmus's words and couldn't help but get angry. Margaery was engaged to her nephew and dared to approach another man. However, she did not look at Margaery and focused her gaze on Cadmus.

"It seems you quite enjoyed provoking her." Daenerys said; she herself did not notice the trace of jealousy in her words.

"If the dish fell on the plate, should I refuse to eat? Besides, I'm single." Cadmus said with a laugh and teased the girl.

Daenerys snorted and did not deny his words; he was single, as he had said. "But she is the future wife of the King of the Seven Kingdoms, the future queen." The princess said with a penetrating look.

"Do you know why she came to my room?" Cadmus asked with his lips curving into a smile. Without needing her answer, he answered the question. "She saw her brother entering her fiancé's room in the middle of the night."

Daenerys tried to open her mouth, but no words came out of her lips. She imagined herself in Margaery's situation and would probably be furious to lose to a man. Looking at the tall, handsome, and charismatic Cadmus, he was indeed an excellent lover.

"That's no excuse to get involved with an engaged woman." Daenerys snorted and crossed her arms. "I have seen countless men fleeing through windows and being chased by their lovers' husbands; it usually ends in death."

Cadmus nodded and did not doubt it at all; the lover usually ended up dead or crippled.

"I promise to stay away from her if she doesn't look for me, of course." Before Daenerys's gaze, Cadmus said with a smile. Although he knew it was impossible for Margaery to stop what she started.

Daenerys showed a satisfied look and drank the wine from her glass, feeling happier knowing that she interrupted the affair between Margaery and Cadmus.
