"What do you know about Mora Lee?"
Aria kept her voice carefully neutral as she waited for Vera's answer.
Vera looked at Aria with calculating eyes, and suspicion showed in her expression.
"You do know her," Vera said. "Or you know something about her. I can see it in your face."
"Just answer the question," Aria said. "What is Mora Lee's role in the network?"
Vera was quiet for a moment, weighing how much to reveal, and then she seemed to make a decision.
"Mora Lee runs one of the network's most profitable operations," Vera said. "Art authentication and sales, but it's really sophisticated money laundering. Dirty money goes in through art purchases, and clean money comes out through legitimate sales. She's been doing it for at least four years, maybe longer."
"Four years," Aria repeated, and the timeline clicked into place with Catherine's supposed death. "How did she get involved with the network?"
