"Absolutely not."
Aria's voice was sharp with anger, and she paced Viktor's safe house while Vera's desperate voice continued pleading through the phone speaker.
"Aria, please, just hear me out," Vera said, and fear colored every word. "I know I don't deserve your help, I know what I did was unforgivable, but I have nowhere else to turn."
"You tried to kill me," Aria said coldly. "You manipulated me for years, you fed me lies about Marcus, and when I chose to keep him alive instead of following your orders, you sent people to eliminate me. Why would I ever help you?"
"Because I have information about the network," Vera said. "Information that could help you bring them down. Isn't that what you want?"
Aria stopped pacing, and she looked at Marcus, who was listening from across the room.
"What kind of information?" Aria asked carefully.
