The flight back to New York took fourteen hours. They landed at JFK at seven AM local time.
Viktor was waiting with a van.
"I've been analyzing the files all night," Viktor said as they drove toward his base. "Gerald Whitmore is definitely running the forgery network. But Marcus, he's not working alone. The financial records show payments to at least fifteen other people. Art dealers. Auction house employees. Gallery owners. It's a massive operation."
"Can you identify the others?" Marcus asked.
"I'm working on it," Viktor said. "But some of the payments are routed through too many layers. I can see money moving, but I can't always see where it lands."
"What about the payment to Patricia?" Aria asked.
