Chapter 241: Toying with the Diary
Sirius Black was pursued by the young wizards until he had nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.
Furthermore, based on his observations, it seemed the news in the newspapers and the shouts of the young wizards were not lying; Peter Pettigrew really had been caught, and he really had been proven innocent.
His revenge could no longer proceed!
But he no longer needed to hide either!
Sirius Black, who had been hiding in a secret passage leading out of the school, finally deactivated his Animagusform and stepped out in plain sight.
"Merlin, he is Sirius Black!"
"So pitiful, look how thin he's become; he looks half-mad!"
"Harley, he's your godfather, hurry and say something to him!"
The Professors and young wizards together witnessed the return of Sirius Black.
The crowd naturally parted to let Harry Potter, who was wearing his pajamas, walk up to Sirius, allowing him to personally meet this godfather who had been imprisoned for over a decade.
"Si... Sirius," Harry Potter said, somewhat timidly, approaching Sirius with a complex expression, his heart filled with an excitement he couldn't hide.
"I am Harry Potter, your godson!"
Sirius rushed over like a fierce dog.
He gripped Harry Potter's hand tightly, pulled him into his arms for a powerful hug, and then held Harley's shoulders firmly with both hands, intensely studying Harley's face while saying:
"I know, I know!"
"Your face is like James'! Your eyes are exactly like Lily's! Harley! Harley! You've grown so big!"
"I..."
Sirius Black, overwhelmed with emotion and a look of ecstatic joy on his face, actually fainted on the spot from the excitement!
Everyone, who had been enjoying the happy ending, was startled!
They hurriedly scrambled to send Sirius Black to the Hospital Wing. Fortunately, after a diagnosis, Madam Pomfrey concluded:
Sirius Black was simply too exhausted and hungry, and combined with the emotional upheaval, he fainted. After some rest and food, he would recover.
"That's great, Sirius Black is fine!"
Harley said, weeping with joy; he truly could not bear the thought of his last relative coming to harm before his eyes.
Peter Pettigrew was caught and swiftly tried by the Wizengamot, sentenced to life imprisonment, and thrown into Azkaban.
After Sirius Black recovered, he spent a happy period of time with Harley before leaving the school to handle his own affairs.
During that time, Harley smiled even more happily than Ron had before. No matter who it was, or what time or place they saw Harley, they would find a sweet smile on his face.
Even toward Draco Malfoy, Harley would take the initiative to greet him politely and with a pleasant expression!
"It's finally a happy ending! Harley won't be alone anymore; he has his godfather, Sirius!"
At dusk, Levi and Hermione were walking by the Black Lake. The little witch spoke, feeling sincerely happy for Harry Potter.
Looking at the happy little witch beside him, Levi didn't have the heart to tell her that in order to maintain the Love Magic Lady Lily left on Harley, Harry Potter still had to live at Vernon Dursley's house during the holidays.
Moreover, the story was far from over, and it was still unknown whether Sirius Black would sacrifice himself!
However, with him, a Transmigrator, here, it was impossible for Voldemort and the Death Eaters to make a comeback and cause a series of tragedies as they did in the original story!
Even if only for the sake of the smile on the little witch's face before him, Levi would show them what the cruelty of a Transmigrator looked like!
Having speed-run the second-year plot, Levi had been waiting for Dumbledore to come to him and ask about Tom Riddle's Diary.
But after waiting for several days, the wise Headmaster Dumbledore didn't seem to notice any issues or come to question Levi.
Old Dumbledore wouldn't be so infatuated with Old Gellert that he actually believed Peter Pettigrew's story, would he?
Levi couldn't help but think to himself in a snide manner.
Late at night, after seeing off Hermione, Levi entered the Compendium Space alone.
In a corner of the space, Levi had set up a small alchemy room and specifically used anti-magic obsidian to build an anti-magic lab bench dedicated to studying Horcruxes.
Taking Tom Riddle's Diary out of his storage space and binding it to the anti-magic lab bench, Levi waved his wand and directly cast the Soul Extraction Technique, pulling Tom Riddle's soul fragment out of the Horcrux.
When Voldemort created this Horcrux, he was nearly graduated from Hogwarts, and his magical level already surpassed the vast majority of Wizards in the magical world at that time.
Although it didn't have any untouchable or mind-corrupting Dark Arts or terrible Curses, it was still not something that ordinary magic could destroy.
However, before Levi's Soul Extraction Technique, Tom Riddle's Diary was like a defenseless little girl, only able to hiss and spew thick smoke of dark magical energy as the soul fragment within the Horcrux was extracted without any way to resist.
"Long time no see, Teacher Tom Riddle!"
Levi greeted the completely shapeless young soul fragment within the dark magical energy, totally ignoring its bewildered gaze.
The dark magical energy spewed from Tom Riddle's Diary, along with the Dark Arts and Curses emitted during its struggle, shattered like waves hitting a solid reef the moment they touched the surrounding anti-magic obsidian.
"Who are you? What have you done to me?"
The soul fragment of Voldemort, realizing its state was wrong, questioned Levi with an extremely ugly expression.
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Levi Keynes, a second-year young wizard at Hogwarts. I once attended your Defense Against the Dark Arts class; I am your student..."
Levi introduced himself to Tom Riddle with a polite and smiling face.
To the young Tom Riddle, that smile looked very familiar. Wasn't it the same smile he wore when he toyed with other Wizards, lied to them, and secretly harmed them?
"What... what do you want? Since you were once my student, you must want to pursue more advanced magic, right?
How about I teach you Imperius Curse? It's a terrifying spell that can make others submit to your will!"
Sensing that the young wizard before him might very likely hide the same ambition and darkness within, Tom Riddleattempted to seize the initiative.
"No rush, Teacher Tom. I am interested in all the knowledge in your mind. This night is still very long; you will have plenty of time to teach me slowly!"
"Cruciatus Curse!"
Levi's wand directly fired a Cruciatus Curse, ruthlessly hitting Tom Riddle's soul fragment!
In an instant, Tom Riddle's soul let out a miserable scream, like the wailing of a ghost, echoing throughout the alchemy room!
Chapter 242: Bloodline Warlock
The three Unforgivable Curses are all Spells that cause harm to people through their souls.
But Levi wasn't torturing Voldemort's remnant soul for the sake of simple cruelty.
Paired with the Super Soul Technique and the Soul Spirit Construction Technique, Levi successfully stripped the magical memories from Voldemort's soul.
It wasn't that he hadn't thought about using Imperius Curse directly to manipulate and control Voldemort's remnant soul, forcing Tom Riddle to reveal his various knowledge of magic himself.
But he had clearly underestimated the sheer strength of will within a remnant soul that had been turned into a Horcrux.
Tearing the soul and turning it into a Horcrux inevitably involves a series of massacres and Dark Arts modifications; in this process, the soul's will is ravaged until it is as deep and unyielding as the darkness itself.
Even Imperius Curse could not control Tom Riddle's remnant soul.
"I knew it wouldn't be that easy, but fortunately, I succeeded!"
A large mass of silver memory strands floated at the tip of Levi's wand, which he stored in a crystal bottle to be viewed later using the Pensieve.
Looking at Voldemort's remnant soul, which was on the verge of collapse from the torture, Levi thought for a moment and decided not to use the Soul Extraction Technique to compress it into a soul crystal, but instead stuffed it back into the Horcrux diary.
He still needed Old Dumbledore to see this Horcrux diarywith his own eyes.
Only by letting Old Dumbledore witness the existence of a Horcrux could he later leverage Old Dumbledore's connections and relationships to collect the other Horcruxes.
Placing Tom Riddle's memories into the Pensieve, Levibegan to examine the memories of the sixteen-year-old Voldemort.
In his sixteenth year, Tom Riddle was in his fifth year, and through extensive reading and verification, he had confirmed his bloodline connection to the original founder, Slytherin.
With the help of Parseltongue, he opened the Chamber of Secrets, where he encountered not only the terrifying, dark Magical Creature he could control—the Basilisk.
But also, within the Chamber of Secrets, he read the Slytherin manuscripts that remained after being plundered by successive generations of the Gaunt Family.
Unfortunately, and yet most fortunately, the manuscripts containing the very essence of Slytherin's bloodline research had survived and were obtained by Voldemort, becoming the foundation of his power as he walked the path of darkness.
Recently, through the memories in the Pensieve, Levi also saw and became familiar with these through the perspective of the sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle.
According to the records in the manuscripts, before the founding of the school, one of the primary enemies of the Hogwarts the Four Founders was the ancient Greek Dark Wizard, Herpo the Foul.
This Dark Wizard from the ancient Greek period had not only devised the method for the artificial breeding of Basilisks but also conducted profound research into the bloodlines of Magical Creatures and Wizards, while also creating Horcruxes!
Relying on Horcruxes, Herpo the Foul lived through a vast span of time; even though his soul had become muddled due to the tearing and the erosion of time, he remained a Wizard that the the Four Founders found difficult to oppose.
But in the end, all of his Horcruxes were destroyed by the the Four Founders, and he met his final death!
All of the knowledge and research left behind by Herpo was inherited by the the Four Founders, and along with the knowledge of other ancient Wizards, it created the greatness of the Hogwarts the Four Founders!
Salazar Slytherin conducted even more profound research based on the foundations laid by Herpo the Foul.
Levi could see that it was precisely because of this research that Slytherin was inevitably influenced by Herpo, gradually leading to the parting of ways with the other three founders.
Basilisks and Horcruxes aside—one was already a very mature breeding technique, and the other involved splitting the soul, which in Slytherin's view was a highly undesirable form of dark magic.
Slytherin did not delve deeply into those two directions; the area he primarily researched was Herpo the Foul's work regarding Wizard bloodlines.
In Levi's view, magic comes from the interaction and interplay between the magic source and soul symbols.
However, in Slytherin's view, magic comes from the bloodline inheritance within a Wizard's body.
This founder deeply believed in this point, which made Levirealize why he had always insisted on the view that only pure-blood wizards should be admitted, and why those Muggles and Half-blood wizards should be expelled.
Bloodline is glory!
From the moment Slytherin delved into bloodline research, he became a loyal advocate of this view!
In Slytherin's view, every Wizard's Magical Outburst is a bloodline awakening; it is precisely because they have awakened the bloodline within their bodies that Wizards gain the ability to learn and cast magic!
Muggles and Squibs either have no bloodline in their bodies or their bloodline is extremely thin!
And the Growth of magic power within a Wizard is just like the Growth of Magical Creatures; as age increases and the body matures, the magic power also gradually increases!
"This is the bloodline gradually maturing and taking effect!"
So stated Slytherin's bloodline research manuscripts.
Seeing this, Levi pulled his head out of the Pensieve and fell into thought.
He could not judge whether Slytherin's view was correct or incorrect.
Was it the intertwining of the soul and the magic sourcethat brought about magic and produced what appeared to be a miraculous Wizard bloodline?
Or did the Wizard bloodline bring about magic, causing the intertwining and mutual influence of the soul and the magic source?
The two viewpoints were like the two ends of a rope; it was difficult to say which end was the finish line and which was the starting point!
"I'll just listen, speak, and learn as if it were true for now!"
After much thought, Levi found it difficult to disprove either viewpoint, so he could only temporarily give up on seeking proof and continue watching Voldemort's manuscripts on Slytherin's bloodline research.
The content that followed was even more shocking and cruel, completely violating ethics and morality, and was extremely dark!
Slytherin felt that the bloodline of Wizards themselves was not strong enough, that it possessed various flaws and had all sorts of limitations.
He simply chose to stop being human!
He actually began to experiment with bloodline fusion, wanting to merge the bloodlines of powerful Magical Creatures like the Basilisk, Dragon, Phoenix, and Unicorninto the bodies of Wizards.
This would allow Wizards to obtain the magic power of these powerful Magical Creatures, gain their unique special abilities, and firmly imprint these bloodlines into the Wizard's own bloodline to be passed down through generations!
Bloodline carries power!
Slytherin's bloodline research manuscripts stated that in his conception, by merging with the bloodlines of powerful Magical Creatures, Wizards would be like those creatures—needing only to grow naturally to obtain numerous special abilities.
Furthermore, because of the fusion with many Magical Creature bloodlines, their magic power would become increasingly thick and powerful during the Growth process, far exceeding that of ordinary Wizards.
Such a Wizard, even if they didn't study or were even illiterate, could obtain various magical abilities through natural Growth!
And if they did study magic at Hogwarts, the powerful bloodline would provide the Wizard with excellent talents in all aspects, making the strong even stronger!
"Is this a Bloodline Warlock?"
Levi read Slytherin's bloodline research manuscripts and couldn't help but guess in his heart.
If Slytherin's bloodline research had succeeded, his level of dreadfulness would be simply unimaginable, possessing the bloodlines of multiple Magical Creatures from the Harry Potter world in one body.
Not only could a Wizard's various talents be raised to the top-tier 'Outstanding' level, but they could also gain longevity, soul-sucking, flight, manipulation of fire, storms, lightning... all sorts of terrifying abilities.
"I even suspect that if he succeeded, Slytherin might not have died to this day; perhaps he's hiding somewhere!"
"Watching the whole world with cold eyes, conducting terrifying research!"
Levi couldn't help but shiver at the thought; he plunged his head back into the Pensieve and continued reading.
Chapter 243: I Want to Report
Slytherin's bloodline research experiment was an irredeemable failure!
With the help of the Pensieve, Levi saw Slytherin's frustration and reflection hidden between the lines of the bloodline research manuscript within Tom Riddle's memory.
Levi wasn't surprised at all; even with the flourishing scientific development of his previous life, organ transplants required matching and medication to endure rejection reactions.
If it was like this between humans, Slytherin's crude attempt to combine the bloodlines of Magical Creatureswith humans—even with the aid of magic and Potions—was harder than reaching the heavens.
The distortions and ruins recorded in the research manuscript following the failure of those bloodline experiments violated all morality and ethics; Tom Riddlelooked on with a face full of excitement, but it revolted Levito the point of wanting to vomit.
Just as Levi thought Slytherin's bloodline research manuscript only provided some utterly dark knowledge, a turning point appeared in the second half of the manuscript.
Slytherin, having failed in his bloodline fusion experiments, did not lose heart; instead, he turned to studying the breeding process of the Basilisk.
An egg laid by a rooster, hatched by a toad, gave birth to a terrifying dark Magical Creature—the Basilisk.
How magic was born and how the bloodline changed during this entire process sparked Slytherin's intense interest.
Slytherin recorded in the manuscript that he suddenly realized studying the birth and bloodline of the Basiliskmight provide a path forward for his research!
Unfortunately, the rest of Slytherin's bloodline research manuscript only recorded a few results he obtained during his research.
Namely, how to use the bloodlines of Magical Creatures to undergo extremely dangerous transformations to obtain even more powerful magic and more terrifying spells!
Beyond that, there was nothing more in the manuscript. It was unknown whether Slytherin only left this knowledge behind, or if other contents were lost over time or taken away by others.
Even so, Slytherin's bloodline research manuscript still laid the foundation for Voldemort's formidable strength.
The reason Voldemort turned into that noseless, bald freak was because he used the Basilisk's bloodline to undergo several extremely dangerous transformations.
The price he paid was that his magic became darker, stronger, and more terrifying—he was practically a humanoid Basilisk!
Aside from lacking the lethal gaze, the magic within Voldemort's body had undergone a qualitative change, making his Avada Kedavra even more horrifying!
"So the Voldemort I fought wasn't even in his complete form!"
"If he were allowed to be resurrected, the Holy Radianceprobably wouldn't be enough to deal with his Avada Kedavra then!"
Levi pulled his head out of the Pensieve, thinking to himself.
With the help of Tom Riddle's memory, he had finished reading Slytherin's bloodline research manuscript.
There were many incorrect directions, but the inspirations and research points provided were also innumerable.
"Perhaps following one of Slytherin's ideas is the correct path to becoming a Bloodline Warlock!"
Levi thought reflectively; for instance, the path recorded in the manuscript about studying the birth and bloodline changes of the Basilisk to explore bloodline fusion, making a Wizard's bloodline incredibly powerful and turning them into a Bloodline Warlock.
In Slytherin's bloodline research manuscript, this path was unverified, but it seemed to be the most correct one.
And in his Class MOD, the Basilisk, Slytherin's bloodline research manuscript, and Herpo the Foul were indeed clear clues for changing classes to a Bloodline Warlock.
"Luckily, I've already taken the Basilisk for myself. If I can start by researching the Basilisk's bloodline..."
Levi put away tom riddles diary and thought thus.
For the time being, he didn't plan to conduct cruel human experiments like Slytherin did.
Although the three Dark Wizards he caught during the holidays were still locked in his Compendium Space.
But he always felt that conducting such experiments was like Orochimaru doing human experiments and getting caught by the Third Hokage—it was very easy to be branded a rogue ninja or a villain.
If he rashly conducted bloodline experiments, especially on humans, setting aside whether he could psychologically accept such cruel and twisted experimental processes...
If he were caught, everything he currently possessed would likely vanish in an instant amidst public condemnation!
"By then, even if I don't want to be the third Dark Lord, I'll already be the third Dark Lord in everyone else's eyes!"
Levi didn't plan to repeat Orochimaru's mistakes. He planned to study the Basilisk's bloodline first and wait until the time was right to experiment on 'volunteers.'
Having harvested Tom Riddle's precious memories, Levileft the Compendium Space and headed straight for the Headmaster's Office at Hogwarts.
Even though it was very late at night, Levi still felt it was a good time to talk.
After all, elderly people slept less; perhaps Old Dumbledore wasn't asleep yet!
As the Gargoyle yawned and tactfully jumped aside, Leviburst into the Headmaster's office. Seeing Dumbledore in his pajamas, bleary-eyed, he couldn't help but think:
"I guessed right. Headmaster Dumbledore is also awake!"
"Levi, it's so late. Did you come to see me for something?"
Headmaster Dumbledore really wanted to send Levi away right now and go back to sleep.
Is this kid a bit too mischievous?
Was it because he lived in Wool's Orphanage when he was young, so his childhood wasn't complete?
Headmaster Dumbledore really felt like taking action to complete Levi's childhood for him!
BANG!
Levi slammed tom riddles diary directly onto the Headmaster's desk.
Before he could even speak, the moment Headmaster Dumbledore saw the diary, his gaze immediately became incredibly deep.
"Where did this come from? Levi!"
Old Dumbledore was shocked. With his magical attainments, he could tell at a glance that this was no ordinary diary.
From Old Dumbledore's perspective, this diary was an utterly dark Dark Arts item. To create such a thing, at least one person must have died!
"I'm reporting this, Headmaster!"
Levi spoke with an air of righteous indignation, looking like a good student making a report:
"I found this in Harley and Ron's dormitory. I felt a very terrifying Dark Arts power coming from it!"
"Through some subtle questioning, I found out it's not Harley's, and Ron doesn't even know when it appeared in his luggage!"
"He thought it was just an ordinary notebook, but I felt it wasn't simple. It's very likely related to Peter Pettigrew. There's heavy Dark Arts on it; maybe the ghost who died before was because of this thing!"
Levi fabricated his suspicions. As long as he brought the Horcrux before Old Dumbledore, he could let this powerful Wizard start the raid!
As long as the Horcrux was dealt with, Voldemort would be of little concern!
Chapter 244: About the Horcrux
"If a thing can speak and communicate, it's best to know where its brain is!"
Levi said in conclusion:
"I can't figure this thing out, but I think it's dangerous, so I brought it here to you, Headmaster!"
"Also, Headmaster, before this school year started, someone foresaw that something terrible would happen in the school and kept trying to stop Harry Potter from coming to school."
"I think it might be related to this thing. You could call Harry Potter and ask him; maybe you'll find some clues, or maybe not!"
In the end, Levi, like a quest NPC, provided a clue for the matter.
Since he had already prevented all the tragedies, Levididn't want to be a babysitter anymore.
He might as well leave the matter to Old Dumbledore and Old Gellert, letting those two old men who should be out seeing the world study it properly.
After Levi left, Grindelwald, also in pajamas, walked in from behind the door of the Headmaster's Office; it seemed he had been listening to their conversation the whole time.
"This thing," Grindelwald picked up the diary with interest, flipped through it twice, and without even needing to write on it, judged:
"If I'm not mistaken, it should be a Horcrux!"
"Muggles say that the longer a person lives, the more interesting things they get to see! What a pity, Nicolas Flamel died too early!"
"Gellert," Dumbledore heard Grindelwald teasing his friend in a flippant tone and couldn't help but scold him softly.
Furthermore, the desire for immortality in Grindelwald's words made Dumbledore warily snatch the Horcrux from Grindelwald's hand.
"No way, Dumbledore, do you look down on me that much?"
Grindelwald feigned a look of "utter shock," looking at Dumbledore with a face full of sorrow.
"You don't actually suspect I'm interested in Horcruxes—that foolish business of tearing one's soul through murder to maintain immortality?"
"I don't even want to keep living! If it weren't for you, I would have had enough long ago!"
He said tsundere-ly, somewhat unwilling to pay attention to Dumbledore, but after some thought, he reminded him:
"If Voldemort made one Horcrux, he definitely didn't make only one!"
"I once heard a saying in the Muggle world: if you find one cockroach in the kitchen, there's definitely more than one!"
Hearing Grindelwald's words, Dumbledore returned an apologetic look. This old friend of his had indeed changed; in the past, he would never have frequently quoted the Muggle world.
But the matter of the Horcrux was so significant that he couldn't help but overthink regarding anyone who knew about it!
In the original story, Dumbledore never told anyone about the Horcruxes except for Harry Potter's trio until his death.
He was worried that someone would be tempted by the lure of false immortality and choose to do the same evil things as Voldemort, choosing to create a Horcrux.
"Then how many Horcruxes do you think Voldemortmade?"
Dumbledore asked worriedly, as if asking Grindelwald and also as if asking himself; waves of irritability rose in his heart.
The good news was that the reason for Voldemort's immortality had been found.
The bad news was, no one knew how many Horcruxes Voldemort had made.
If this guy was crazy enough to produce hundreds or thousands of Horcruxes at once, like a carp spawning, then Dumbledore felt he should have just died sooner at the thought!
"Aside from capturing that immortal remnant soul and questioning it, you'll have to ask yourself, Dumbledore—wasn't he your favorite student?"
Grindelwald's anger hadn't dissipated yet, and he spoke sarcastically, but seeing Dumbledore's worried face, his heart softened, and he said:
"How could tearing the soul be done many times?"
"I can feel that the Soul fragment left in this Horcrux is enough to account for a small portion of a soul!"
"He really is crazy enough!"
"Unless there was some special opportunity, by the time this guy split it for the fifth time, he would have become sufficiently demented and realized he probably couldn't split it any further!"
Dumbledore, truly a master of magic on the same level as Grindelwald, sensed the Soul fragment within the Horcrux.
Although it was a bit strange why this Soul fragment was so collapsed, sensing the weight of the soul within it, he also agreed with Grindelwald's view.
Neither of them had imagined that a fragment of Voldemort's soul still remained inside Harry Potter.
They certainly didn't expect that Voldemort would even have an opportunity for resurrection, and after being resurrected, he would frantically tear his soul again to create another Horcrux.
Tearing one's own soul five times is enough to drive a person to madness, making it difficult to maintain sanity, or even causing soul collapse!
Even Grindelwald could hardly imagine that Voldemort's mastery of the Dark Arts was so terrifying that he could actually split his own soul two more times!
As a result, there wasn't much weight left for Voldemort's original soul!
"Are there four more?"
Dumbledore gripped Tom Riddle's diary in his hand, and an almost uncontrollable urge to find the other Horcruxes arose in his heart.
After all these years, it was the first time he saw the dawn of completely defeating Voldemort.
As long as all the Horcruxes were destroyed, Voldemortwould completely lose his reliance on immortality.
Then, by finding ways to improve Harley's magical level, it seemed the contents of the Prophecy could be easily fulfilled?
As Dumbledore thought about it, he couldn't help but feel it was somewhat unbelievable!
"There are four more, but do you know where those four Horcruxes are? Or what they are?"
"There are millions upon millions of things in this world. What if Voldemort made his Horcrux into a grain of sand and threw it into the desert!"
"Made it into a drop of seawater and threw it into the ocean!"
"Made it into a metal plate and put it on Voyager 2; it's probably flown past Neptune by now!"
Dumbledore's face turned pale with fright upon hearing Grindelwald's words!
Although he didn't know what Voyager 2 was, just hearing the possibility of Horcruxes being made into sand or seawater made him shudder.
If Voldemort really did that, even if he knew exactly what the Horcruxes were made into, he could forget about finding them!
However, Dumbledore was truly Dumbledore; he calmed down immediately and said, based on his understanding of Voldemort:
"No, a person like Tom would definitely choose noble, iconic items to create his Horcruxes."
Hearing this, Grindelwald couldn't help but argue:
"Then tell me, what is so noble about this diary, or what iconic characteristics does it have?"
Dumbledore was suddenly speechless. He was always like this—whenever he encountered a question that was hard to answer, he would stop talking!
Chapter 245: About Levi
Grindelwald silenced Dumbledore all at once, but he didn't gloat inwardly; instead, he advised Dumbledore with heartache:
"Dumbledore, there are so many people in the entire wizarding world, you don't have to carry everything on your shoulders alone!"
If possible, I will give you a help!
In the end, the tsundere Grindelwald didn't say those words, but Dumbledore had already received the meaning he wanted to express!
"Thank you for your comfort, Grindelwald, but let's think about where to find the remaining Horcruxes instead."
Dumbledore spoke to Grindelwald with gratitude, and upon receiving the thanks, a satisfied smile appeared on Grindelwald's face.
In front of Dumbledore, Grindelwald didn't look like a Dark Lord at all; he was always so easy to coax, like a child who could be easily dismissed with candy.
"Didn't that child named Levi say it before?"
Grindelwald brought up Levi Keynes imperceptibly, reminding Dumbledore:
"Harry Potter was obstructed by someone before starting school, saying that terrible things would happen in the school. Since someone foresaw this, they must know something?"
"Perhaps we can start our investigation from there. By following the clues, we might find information about the other Horcruxes."
Dumbledore was also struck by a realization, feeling that this was a good line of thought and a great approach.
He just wondered why he hadn't thought of it before. Was it because Grindelwald was here and he was too lazy to think, or because it was so late at night and he was so tired that his mind was no longer agile?
Reflecting on this, Headmaster Dumbledore suddenly began to scrutinize that mischievous child, Levi Keynes. He suddenly felt that what Levi Keynes had said before was quite meaningful; some words were almost explicit hints.
Keeping the matter of questioning Harry Potter in mind, Dumbledore tentatively asked Grindelwald, "Gellert, what do you think of this child, Levi?"
"I look at him with my eyes open," Grindelwald said crossly, with no trace of acting on his face, only a hint of impatience:
"Are you showing off another one of your good students to me?"
"What was the last one called? The Crawling Lizard? (Newt Scamander) Albus, you really have a lot of helpers!"
Dumbledore didn't mind Grindelwald's impatience and anger; instead, he smiled and affirmed:
"Exactly. It's precisely because I see these vibrant young wizards that I feel my struggle for the wizarding world is meaningful!"
"Promise me, Gellert, do not spread your radical ideas to Levi under the guise of teaching, and certainly do not lure him into those plans of yours that should never exist!"
As he spoke, Dumbledore stared straight at Grindelwaldwith the same intent. His old friend already had a history of "human trafficking," and he didn't want Levi to end up like Credence, led astray by Grindelwald.
Grindelwald was stunned for a moment. My plan hasn't even started yet; how did Albus notice?
And what do you mean by radical ideas? What do you mean by plans that shouldn't exist?
Were my two prophetic dreams for nothing?
Albus, must you wait until those prophetic dreams come true and the Wizarding World is drenched in blood before you are willing to accept the transformation of the entire wizarding world?
Grindelwald, the radical, instinctively wanted to have a massive argument with the conservative Dumbledore.
But just as he was about to speak, he immediately shut his mouth and composed himself, because the clever Grindelwald felt that Dumbledore was bluffing him, suspecting his intentions for coming to Hogwarts to teach.
It was agreed upon that he came to Hogwarts to teach in order to develop the wizarding world, so that it would have the standing to speak as equals with Muggles in the future.
Because of this, in exchange, he was allowed to come to Hogwarts to serve as a Professor.
Although Grindelwald wasn't very interested in developing the productivity of the wizarding world—it was entirely for the sake of seeing Levi, making the dumplings just for this bit of vinegar—he couldn't say that in front of Dumbledore.
If he revealed this purpose, Grindelwald would never be able to get close to Levi Keynes again.
"Those good students of yours hang on your every word; I can't influence them!"
Grindelwald said crossly, essentially shifting the topic from Levi to Dumbledore's influence over the students.
"And what radical ideas or plans could I have? I'm no longer in contact with Vinda Rosier and the others!"
"Alas, with a criminal status like mine, who would be willing to follow me? I'm no match for you, Dumbledore, the famous greatest Headmaster and Wizard of the century. You're amazing, you're noble, people like you and love you! How can a fugitive like me compare?"
Grindelwald spoke with extreme bitterness; he had to divert Dumbledore's attention away from Levi Keynes.
Dumbledore didn't speak; he just sat there quietly watching Grindelwald's performance.
"Fine," seeing that Dumbledore wasn't falling for it, Grindelwald had no choice but to drop his expression and performance, agreeing:
"I promise you, Albus, I will absolutely not spread my ideas to your students or have them join my plans!"
"But let's make this clear beforehand: if some of your students also become dissatisfied with the decaying wizarding world like I am, and choose transformation and to bring change to the wizarding world, you cannot blame me for it!"
Grindelwald said this, indifferent to his own guarantee. A prophetic dream wasn't a prophecy that required the power of Wizards' belief; a prophetic dream was a glimpse into the future, something that was almost certain to happen.
Even without his interference, Levi Keynes would still invent the Magic Phone and still bring transformation to the entire wizarding world.
At that time, there would be no need for Grindelwald to spread ideas or guide plans; he would only need to give a little push along with the current, and the decaying wizarding world would become like flowing water, developing in the direction he desired.
New changes have already appeared, and nothing can remain stagnant anymore!
Hearing Grindelwald's guarantee, Dumbledore breathed a sigh of relief in his heart. Sometimes, he couldn't help but feel mentally exhausted.
Discovering the Horcruxes and finding the secret of Voldemort's immortality was certainly a very gratifying thing, Dumbledore felt.
But if he couldn't control Grindelwald, his old friend would definitely spring a huge surprise on him when he least expected it!
Voldemort and Grindelwald—with two Dark Lords on his hands, Dumbledore sometimes felt that the suffering of his life was truly of his own making!
Chapter 246: Trivial Daily Life
Levi had no idea about the tryst between Old Dumbledoreand Old Gellert after he left the Headmaster's Office.
Handing Tom Riddle's diary over to Old Dumbledore and revealing the existence of the diary to Headmaster Dumbledore meant the biggest task of this school year was essentially complete.
Once the existence of the Horcrux was known to Dumbledore, the countdown to Voldemort's demise had begun!
As for the rest, Levi didn't need to worry too much.
He only needed to wave his wand at critical moments to prevent those tragic events he didn't want to see from happening, and that would be enough!
"In a sense, the book of Harry Potter is basically coming to an end here."
"The remaining story belongs to me, Levi Keynes!"
Levi thought with satisfaction. He didn't have any prophesied arch-nemesis; all that was left for him was the study of magic he had dreamed of.
With the help of Tom Riddle's memories, Levi read Salazar Slytherin's manuscript on bloodline research.
Although he didn't find a clear path to becoming a Bloodline Warlock, he was greatly inspired.
"Levi, why are you interested in cells and genes again?"
"You're learning such a hodgepodge of knowledge!"
"I remember seeing you reading books about computers and artificial intelligence a few days ago. How come you suddenly changed your reading direction in just a few days?"
In a reading room of the Room of Requirement, Hermioneasked Levi in surprise.
Although the Defense Against the Dark Arts class taught by the new Professor Gellert von Vitez was logical and interesting, the self-study group supported by Headmaster Dumbledore remained.
Furthermore, it had transformed into a multidisciplinary comprehensive self-study mutual aid organization.
Those who joined the society here could not only help each other and learn some simple Spells they hadn't mastered yet.
They could also act as a study group, studying together, completing homework together, and discussing various questions about magic.
The Room of Requirement had also been divided into multiple classrooms with different functions according to everyone's requirements. The place where Levi and Hermione were now was similar to a reading room.
"I just want to conduct some research on bloodlines and genes. Don't learn from me; my knowledge is all over the place!"
Levi said, channeling his inner Zhao Benshan. Of course, he wouldn't tell Hermione that he was planning to conduct evil bloodline research just like Salazar Slytherin.
Otherwise, if discovered, he would have to defect from Hogwarts like Orochimaru, throw himself under Grindelwald's banner, and act as a renegade "Wizard."
"How is the campaign you launched going, the one about improving the working environment for House-elves and providing them with material rewards?"
Levi cast a magic spell to isolate the sound, changed the subject, and asked Hermione.
This school year, the trouble initiated by Tom Riddle's diaryin connection with Peter Pettigrew was resolved by a single report from Levi.
Learning life at Hogwarts returned to normal. Hermione, Harley, and Ron no longer needed to focus on the big troubles in school and were all busy with their own things.
Take Hermione, for example. Because she had entered the Hogwarts kitchens with Levi before the Deathday Partyand witnessed the "miserable state" of the House-elves, the idea of improving their living conditions had sprouted in her heart, and she had already taken action.
"It's very, very difficult. I've discovered that not only do the House-elves not want to change their living conditions, but even those pure-blood wizards don't have the slightest thought in their heads about changing the living conditions of House-elves!"
"In their view, House-elves should live as slaves. Even pure-blood wizards like the Weasleys, who have no vested interest in House-elves, think the same way in their hearts!"
"They actually believe that slavery is a matter of course, and that House-elves should serve Wizards without compensation!"
Hermione said somewhat angrily, slapping the thick, bulky books she had placed on the table.
Levi followed Hermione's movement and glanced over. He was startled and thought to himself: Good heavens!
Although it was just a glance, Levi half-guessed the names of the big books.
The one on top should be Adam Smith's The Wealth of Nations, and the one below it was the famous Das Kapital!
The things he had said to Hermione back then, this little witch had really taken to heart; she had actually gone and found books on political reform to read afterward.
Wizards of the British Ministry of Magic, you are in for a treat; I have found you a Minister of magic who is steadfast in her convictions and determined to reform!
"Changing mindsets is a very difficult thing," Levi sighed inwardly, and then said to Hermione:
"Without practical examples, it's hard for people to have a personal feeling about it!"
"I have a suggestion, Hermione. Why don't you give it a try!"
"What suggestion?" Hermione asked impatiently.
Learning magic at Hogwarts was no longer enough to satisfy Hermione's heart, which longed for adventure; she was already impatient to start her political journey in the wizarding world!
"The House-elf Dobby," Levi replied with a smile, and explained:
"His preventing Harry Potter from coming to Hogwarts to attend school clearly had good intentions. He must have known that some terrible things would happen in the school!"
"It's just that the method he used was wrong, which is why he messed things up."
"That's not the point. The point is that this House-elf was able to exercise subjective initiative; with my permission, he secretly disobeyed his master's orders and chose to help Harley!"
"A House-elf like this clearly has a mindset different from other House-elves. Perhaps you can start with him and mold an example that is different from the ordinary House-elf!"
Levi gave his suggestion, and Hermione listened thoughtfully.
Seeing Hermione lost in thought, Levi did not continue.
Trying to change the living conditions of House-elves was just a small test for Hermione. For Levi, whether it succeeded or not didn't matter.
However, what he had said to Dumbledore in the Headmaster's Office earlier would definitely lead Old Dumbledore to follow the trail of Tom Riddle's diary, question Harry Potter, and subsequently find the House-elf Dobby, and even Lucius Malfoy.
His suggestion to Hermione now was just to let her participate in it and personally liberate a House-elf slave.
For Levi, this was a matter where success or failure didn't matter; it was just a social practice exercise used to cultivate Hermione.
Just like when he was reading books about cells and genes, what he was truly concerned about was bloodline research and the class change to a Warlock.
Chapter 247: Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem
The more Levi studied bloodline cells and genes, the more he discovered that the knowledge involved was truly vast.
Relying solely on the memory and cognitive calculation power of his human brain was truly like trying to put out a burning cart with a cup of water—far from enough.
Humans, after all, have their limits!
So, Levi decided not to... he chose to try making a Tower Spirit!
Levi still intended to remain human.
If he stopped being human, Old Dumbledore and the others might just put him down for the sake of humanity one day!
Speaking of making a Tower Spirit, Levi still felt a bit of a pity when he thought about it. He had already extracted Tom Riddle's soul fragment using the Soul Extraction Technique; he was just one step away from compressing it into a soul crystal.
However, because he had to provide the Horcrux as evidence, he had given Tom Riddle's Diary to Old Dumbledore.
Now, if he wanted to create a Tower Spirit, he would have to spend Academic Credits to purchase a soul crystal from the wizard tower mod.
After all, there wasn't a second Voldemort soul fragment in the school to use for making...
Thinking of this, Levi was suddenly taken aback as he remembered that there really was a second Horcrux in the school that could be used to extract a soul fragment and compress it into a soul crystal.
That was the Horcrux made from Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem, which Tom Riddle had found in a tree hollow in Albania after using his handsome appearance and silver tongue to deceive the lady Helena Ravenclaw.
This rare and precious alchemical item, which could enhance a person's wisdom, had been turned into such a filthy Horcrux by Voldemort!
Levi now felt that his evaluation of Voldemort was not wrong at all. This guy was purely like a toad squatting on one's foot—even if it didn't bite, it was still revolting!
Was it not a sin for the Sacred Relics of the the Four Founders to be desecrated one by one by Voldemort like this?
Thinking of this, Levi declared with righteous indignation that as an outstanding student of Ravenclaw, a recipient of this school year's Special Contribution Award, and a young wizard favored by Head of House Flitwick and Headmaster Dumbledore, he must personally rescue the Sacred Relic that was Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem from Voldemort's clutches!
After the Club meeting ended, Levi bid farewell to all the young wizards who had come to participate. Thinking 'I need a place to hide things' in his heart, he opened the Room of Requirement once again.
This time, the Room of Requirement no longer appeared as the multi-functional classroom Levi was familiar with, but as an incredibly vast and astonishing junk room!
All sorts of messy and diverse items were piled from the floor to the ceiling like trash in a landfill, filling the Room of Requirement like a series of undulating small mountain ranges.
As a thousand-year-old school, the Room of Requirementhas existed at Hogwarts since its founding.
Through the method of summoning this magical room, it is not hard to see that the Room of Hidden Things was originally intended for hiding objects.
Burnt cauldrons, dirty books, damaged furniture... all sorts of messy things were hidden within this most primitive version of the Room of Requirement.
Even Voldemort was no exception; he also treated this place as a blind spot right under everyone's noses, using it as the location to hide Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem, his Horcrux.
But he never expected that a 'cheating' player like Leviwould come to the Harry Potter world, knowing the location of his Horcrux as if he were born with the knowledge.
"But with so much junk, where am I going to find Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem?"
Levi thought with great difficulty, even though he vaguely remembered that Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem was placed on an ugly Wizard statue.
But Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem, having been made into a Horcrux, was immune to Accio, immune to divination, and immune to various methods of direct searching through magic.
Even searching with the naked eye was not quite applicable to Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem.
This Sacred Relic, recorded as being sparkling and capable of enhancing a Wizard's wisdom, had become a tarnished pearl after being made into a Horcrux. It no longer looked like its original self, making it unfeasible to find by sight alone!
Levi did try entering Source View, wanting to find the existence of the Horcrux directly as he had found Tom Riddle's Diary before.
But the Room of Requirement itself, along with the messy, abandoned magical items inside, interfered too much with Levi's Source View.
Relying on Source View's ability to strip away the appearance of matter to see its essence was simply not working to find the Horcrux.
"If only I could make a Tower Spirit right now. I could have the Tower Spirit control magic puppets and Alchemical Golems to search bit by bit; it wouldn't take long to find Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem!"
"But things have come full circle again. My goal in finding Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem is to make a Tower Spirit!"
"Now needing a Tower Spirit to find Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem has truly put me in a dead loop!"
Levi looked helplessly at the mountain of junk in the Room of Requirement. Knowing he couldn't save the Academic Credits needed to buy a soul crystal, he spoke with a bitter smile.
Although the magic puppets he refined had simple intelligence, dealing with such complex 'trash' required the discernment of higher intelligence.
Otherwise, with his current level of alchemy, the magic puppets he manufactured could only perform simple sorting and would be unable to find Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem at all.
"My few Academic Credits are about to be spent clean again!"
"Damn you, Voldemort. Couldn't you have put your Horcrux out in the open? Couldn't you just obediently let me extract your soul to make a soul crystal?"
Levi hatefully made his villainous declaration and spent 100,000 Academic Credits to purchase a top-tier soul crystal.
Flashing back into the Compendium Space, Levi began the production of the Tower Spirit in the space's alchemy room.
Levi had already accumulated the relevant spells, knowledge, and necessary alchemical techniques.
But this was, after all, his first time making a Tower Spirit, and Levi did not want the precious soul crystal he had spent 100,000 Academic Credits on to go to waste!
He placed the soul crystal on the alchemy table and carefully examined the fist-sized object, which looked like a piece of transparent glass with wisps of mist floating inside.
Pure soul fluctuations, devoid of any emotion or thought, emanated from within the soul crystal.
Looking at the soul crystal, Levi couldn't help but wonder what kind of creature's soul the system had used to compress and create it.
It was so pure it seemed as if a blank slate of a soul had been extracted and compressed.
However, thinking about this problem now was meaningless. Levi took a deep breath, surged his magicpower, gripped his wand, and activated the Soul Spirit Construction Technique!
Once activated, this spell acted directly inside the soul crystal, much like a skilled craftsman painting the inside of a snuffbox.
The function of the Soul Spirit Construction Technique was to use the soul power inside the soul crystal as material to create, modify, and build the basic structure of the Tower Spirit.
In a sense, it was using the soul energy within the soul crystal to perform programming!
Chapter 248: Tower Spirit One
Material logic, information framework, energy interface, data circuit, computing matrix, self-correction module, decision layer, collaborative control protocol...
This was the knowledge Levi had learned from reading books about artificial intelligence and computers.
Combined with the Tower Spirit construction techniques learned from the wizard tower mod, everything was applied to the Tower Spirit before him through the Soul Spirit Construction Technique.
Once the Soul Spirit Construction Technique began, it could not be stopped; one had to focus intently on manipulating soul power to design and construct according to the Tower Spirit's blueprints.
Fortunately, Levi had previously broken through to become a First Circle Arcanist and had successfully mastered the Magical Creature Transformation.
Both the First Circle Spell Slot and the powerful Magical Creature Transformation had greatly increased Levi's mana cap.
This allowed Levi to complete the extremely complex Soul Spirit Construction, successfully assembling the basic structural design of the Tower Spirit within the soul crystal.
"Whew~"
A long time later, a drenched and exhausted Levi sat down on the floor of the alchemy room.
The mana within him was nearly dry, and the mental energy used to manipulate that mana was almost depleted, causing his brain to throb with pain!
But on the alchemy table before him, the soul crystal had quietly changed its appearance. Inside, an extremely regular "nebula" had been constructed, constantly rotating and emitting a pale golden light.
If one looked closely, how could that possibly be a nebula?
It was clearly an extremely complex three-dimensional geometric body composed of countless symbols and lines, constantly changing shape and rotating.
The Soul Spirit Construction Technique had built the basic structure of the Tower Spirit, and it had also brought the soul crystal from life to death.
Regardless of whose soul had been compressed to form this soul crystal, once the Soul Spirit Construction Technique was complete, the entire soul crystal had been thoroughly cleansed and transformed.
It was akin to completely shattering a person's soul, then blending it into building materials to construct another complex building; this building was the basic structure of the Tower Spirit.
In this process, the soul crystal had transformed from an originally living soul into a dead Tower Spirit construction.
And to make the constructed Tower Spirit come alive was exactly what Levi was about to perform next: the Advanced Enlightenment!
However, like the Soul Spirit Construction Technique, the Advanced Enlightenment was extremely mana-intensive. Before casting the Enlightenment, Levi sat in meditation in the alchemy room to restore the mana he had just nearly exhausted.
The Silver Dragon form from the Magical Creature Transformation had already significantly increased Levi's mana cap and mana regeneration rate through the Dragon King's Crown and the dragon heart.
After breaking through to become a First Circle Arcanist, the ten First Circle Spell Slots and twenty Zero Circle Spell Slots provided an extraordinary amount of mana storage and regeneration capacity.
But even so, Levi was still unsatisfied, feeling that the mana regeneration was too slow.
"Once the Tower Spirit is built, I will allocate half of its computing power to use the massive amount of Ancient Runes to try and simulate the compilation of a meditationtechnique."
"The remaining half of the computing power will be used to control the magic puppets to clear out the trash in the Room of Requirement and search for Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem."
The Tower Spirit had not yet been created, but Levi had already allocated its computing power and arranged two sequential tasks.
Sitting cross-legged in the alchemy room, Levi felt his mana being restored bit by bit. He stood up again, took a deep breath with his wand in hand, and cast the Advanced Enlightenment upon the soul crystal!
Under the effect of the spell, the idealistic mana imbued the soul crystal before him with sentience, and a naive yet computationally extraordinary mechanical will was born within the soul crystal!
Born from death, the Tower Spirit One designed and built by Levi was complete!
Without needing to be equipped with any hardware, the moment Tower Spirit One was refined, it fed back its status to Levi through a fluctuation of soul power:
[Tower Spirit Enlightenment complete!]
[Running self-check!]
[Self-check complete, status nominal!]
[Please grant permissions and name the Tower Spirit!]
Levi injected his mana into the Tower Spirit before him, completing the master-binding process and setting his own permissions to the highest level.
"From today on, you are Tower Spirit One!"
"Set Task Sequence One: Use the Ancient Runes inside the Ancient Rune crystal ball to try and design a meditationtechnique."
"Set Task Sequence Two: Control the magic puppets to clear the various trash in the current space and search for the mission objective—Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem."
Levi held his wand, extracted his memory silver threads, and injected them into the Tower Spirit before him.
The Tower Spirit before him was still a blank slate with no knowledge reserves or application hardware, making it extremely troublesome to use.
A complete Tower Spirit should be used in conjunction with a complete wizard tower, utilizing the various hardware within the wizard tower.
For example, an elemental energy pool to provide endless energy, various golem puppets to provide "hands and feet," and the library to provide knowledge...
If the Tower Spirit was the brain of a wizard tower, then the other parts of the wizard tower were the Tower Spirit's body.
The two were indispensable; because Levi had built the Tower Spirit alone, using and operating it was extremely troublesome.
Just like now, Levi needed to turn his thoughts into memory silver threads and inject them into the Tower Spirit to set the task sequences, allowing the Tower Spirit to complete tasks according to those sequences.
If the Tower Spirit were loaded onto a complete wizard tower, why would it be so troublesome? He would only need to issue a task verbally, and the Tower Spirit would naturally collect data and complete the task according to Levi's requirements.
Moreover, the current Tower Spirit lacked an energy supply and lacked "eyes," "ears," and "hands and feet." All of these required Levi to provide alchemy facilities to build them for the Tower Spirit.
Merely refining a Tower Spirit was not enough; Levi still had to equip all the other hardware.
Fortunately, having accepted Nicolas Flamel's inheritance, accomplishing this was actually not difficult for Levi.
"But not today; I have to go back to sleep first!"
Levi yawned, feeling sleepiness wash over him like a tide.
Having continuously cast the Soul Spirit Construction Technique and the Advanced Enlightenment, two powerful spells, even Levi's energy could not hold up.
Putting the Tower Spirit into his personal storage space, Levi yawned again, left the Compendium Space, walked out of the Room of Requirement, and returned to the Ravenclaw common room.
Dragging his weary body with eyelids that could barely stay open, Levi had just walked into the common room when he suddenly shivered.
As soon as he looked up toward the window of the common room, he saw a "female ghost" with a cold demeanor yet extreme beauty, gazing at the moon through the window!
Great, it's The Grey Lady. Whoever decided to have a ghost permanently reside in the common room is a genius!
Making a ghost guard the door in the middle of the night—I don't know what these Wizards were thinking!
Levi had absolutely no intention of paying attention to Helena Ravenclaw, nor would he tell this female ghost that he was about to find Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem.
He just wanted to sleep now.
Chapter 249: One Week Later
One week later, a corner of the junk-filled Room of Requirement had been cleared out.
An automatically operating magic puppets production line was set up here, continuously running to produce small magic puppets that resembled the robot WALL-E.
Levi stood beside the production line, watching as one little WALL-E after another emerged from the line like dumplings being dropped into a pot.
Beside him stood a complete "robot" with a human-like body and limbs.
However, the head of this robot was stuffed with a crystal ball shimmering with golden light; it was Tower Spirit One, who now possessed a body and senses!
Even with the complete technology, it was impossible for Levi to attempt to build a wizard tower inside the Room of Requirement.
But he could design and refine powerful magic puppets to serve as temporary bodies for the Tower Spirit.
Having obtained Nicolas Flamel's Alchemy inheritance, he didn't need to consult works by ordinary people regarding robots to achieve this easily.
"One, report the progress of each task sequence."
Levi stood with his hands behind his back, looking satisfied like a top leader inspecting work, as he spoke to Tower Spirit One while watching the production line.
"Task Sequence One: Clear the Room of Requirement and find Ravenclaw's Diadem," the cold mechanical voice spoke from Tower Spirit One's magic puppet body.
"Current task progress: The magic puppets production line is complete and can autonomously produce WALL-E model small puppets. 73 units have been produced so far!"
"Based on calculations, the total amount of junk in the Room of Requirement is set at 100%. Currently, 3% has been cleared!"
"According to calculations, as the production of the WALL-E model small puppets increases, the task progress will accelerate exponentially. It is estimated that all junk will be cleared and categorized within half a month, and Ravenclaw's Diadem will be found according to the Master's requirements."
Levi nodded with satisfaction after hearing this. With Tower Spirit One, he essentially had a subordinate who was wholeheartedly loyal and possessed heaven-defying calculation and control capabilities.
He didn't need to worry about many things; he only needed to give an order, and the Tower Spirit could complete it!
If only exchanging for a top-tier soul crystal didn't consume so many Academic Credits!
Levi really wanted to create a Tower Spirit Two to help him complete all sorts of tasks.
Tower Spirit One continued its report to Levi: "Task Sequence Two: Tailor-make a meditation technique for the Master based on the Ancient Runes within the Ancient Rune crystal ball."
"All runes within the Ancient Rune crystal ball have been fully received, but the design of the meditation technique has stalled. Progress is less than 0.01%!"
"Hmm?" Levi was originally quite pleased while listening to Tower Spirit One's report, but upon hearing that Task Sequence Two—the design of the meditation technique—hadn't even reached 1% progress, he immediately turned around in surprise and asked Tower Spirit One:
"Why has Task Sequence Two stalled?"
"What caused this?"
Facing Levi's questioning, Tower Spirit One's mechanical voice remained devoid of emotion as it listed all the objective reasons:
"Reason one: Lack of sample reference cases; the Tower Spirit cannot imagine and create something out of thin air;"
"Reason two: The database lacks various data regarding magic power, soul strength, Arcanists, Wizards... and other related data. Without data references, the design of the meditation technique cannot be completed."
Levi opened his mouth after hearing Tower Spirit One's answer.
He realized that although the Tower Spirit's calculation and thinking abilities were heaven-defying and comparable to a supercomputer, expecting it to design a transcendent meditation technique out of thin air was indeed a bit fanciful!
If a Meditation Technique could truly be born from his hands, it would likely change the entire magical civilization as soon as it appeared.
The entire Harry Potter magical world might even change its name because of the Meditation Technique, becoming Levi Keynes's magical world!
Even gods of magic like Merlin would be unable to compare to him, Levi.
But for such a massive change, he had pinned all his hopes on a single small Tower Spirit; it really was a bit too much of a pipe dream!
However, despite this, Levi was still unwilling to give up.
Because as he said, once a Meditation Technique was born, it would change the entire magical world!
Moreover, the objective difficulties mentioned by Tower Spirit One were not insurmountable.
Regarding the first reason—the lack of sample cases—though Levi couldn't solve it immediately since this was work starting from zero, he could still help.
He could collect various small tricks for increasing magicpower left behind by predecessor Wizards and provide them to the Tower Spirit as references.
As for reason two—the lack of data in various fields—he could take the Tower Spirit to the Hogwarts library to collect it, or research and provide it himself.
In short, the future was bright, even if the path was winding!
He, Levi Keynes, was determined to have that Meditation Technique!
"Task Sequence Two is temporarily shelved and archived for a future restart. Proceed with Task Sequence One first!"
Though his fighting spirit was high, Levi couldn't change the objective conditions for now. He could only have Tower Spirit One find Ravenclaw's Diadem first.
"Understood, Master. Task Sequence Two has been archived," Tower Spirit One executed the command and replied.
Hearing Tower Spirit One's reply and thinking about the inability to execute tasks due to a lack of data,
Levi thought for a moment and began transmitting various pieces of knowledge from his mind to Tower Spirit One, while issuing two new commands:
"Add two more task sequences. The first is to optimize Spell Templates for me, with the requirements being faster casting speed, lower magic consumption, and greater magical power!"
He had just transmitted all his spell models to Tower Spirit One. Combined with the fact that Tower Spirit One had already collected all the runes from the Ancient Rune crystal ball, it could now use its computing power to optimize the Spell Templates for him.
"Task received," Tower Spirit One responded calmly.
"The other task is to design the hero king game console for me, with requirements to optimize the online battle function and add long-distance communication functions. For specific data cases, you can refer to this alchemy blueprint magic book!"
Levi took out Nicolas Flamel's Alchemy inheritance. Besides the Ancient Rune crystal ball, there was also the alchemy blueprint magic book.
This magic book recorded the alchemy blueprints for all the alchemical inventions of Nicolas Flamel's lineage of Alchemists.
He believed that by synthesizing these alchemy blueprints, Tower Spirit One could definitely design a hero king game console blueprint that would satisfy him.
Tower Spirit One's mechanical puppet body took the alchemy blueprint magic book and accepted the command: "Task received, recording data..."
"Mm," Levi nodded. In fact, within Nicolas Flamel's inheritance, there was also the The Book of Abraham.
But this inheritance involved life and the soul, and under Teacher Nicolas Flamel's warning, Levi didn't dare to read too much of it.
He certainly wouldn't let an external object like the Tower Spirit freely collect and record such dangerous forbidden knowledge!
Chapter 250: Data Collection
Besides this, Levi had not forgotten his original intention for creating the Tower Spirit, which was to assist him in his research on bloodlines and genes.
However, once the Tower Spirit was actually created, Levirealized that compared to assisting in research, the most important thing he should do first was to collect enough data to feed the Tower Spirit as material for analysis.
The Tower Spirit's computational power and processing capabilities were indeed powerful enough.
But without sufficient data support, it would be impossible to utilize its full potential.
"In the final analysis, various magic experiments and research cannot rely entirely on the Tower Spirit; the Tower Spirit is just a machine to help oneself skip a large number of complex calculations and repetitive mechanical operations!"
Levi was in no hurry to give Tower Spirit One the task sequence for bloodline and gene research.
Instead, he designed a new type of magic puppets and had the production line in the Room of Requirement produce them.
He named this type of magic puppets 'Knowledge Collectors,' and their appearance was similar to a palm-sized small spider.
In addition to eight spider legs that could climb up and down bookshelves and various terrains, the most important feature was the eight eyes, which could scan various knowledge in books like a scanner.
After the Knowledge Collectors were manufactured, the task Levi gave to Tower Spirit One was to operate them under the cover of night, enter the Hogwarts library to collect the knowledge within, and store it as data for future analysis.
He even had plans to sneak into the British Library in the future and scan all the books in the entire library!
"Task sequence recorded. One will judge the specific completion time based on the scale of the task."
The light of data flickered within the magic eyes of Tower Spirit One's puppet body as it responded to Levi.
"Mm," Levi responded. With the help of Tower Spirit One, his magic research could be put on hold for a while.
He could perfectly well wait until Tower Spirit Onecompleted the corresponding task sequence before proceeding with his research.
Leaving the Room of Requirement, Levi wondered if he should collect some blood samples from Wizards for research.
At that time, he might be able to invent some auxiliary research instruments to collect the genetic maps of Wizards.
But on second thought, he felt he was being a bit too ambitious; he hadn't even researched the Basilisk bloodline yet, and here he was thinking about researching the bloodlines of Wizards.
Besides, the act of collecting Wizard blood sounded a bit evil!
If someone got the wrong idea, especially if his secret research was discovered, he might really become another Orochimaru, get kicked out of Hogwarts, and become a Dark Wizard rogue ninja!
Speaking of which, why did he always think of Orochimaruand then defecting from Hogwarts?
Could it be that I've been unknowingly influenced by tom riddles diary?
Right, it's all Voldemort's fault!
Levi thought resentfully in his heart and finally decided to wait until Tower Spirit One's data collection was complete before studying the Basilisk blood first!
By the time he left the Room of Requirement, Hogwarts Castle was already shrouded in the night.
Levi casually cast a Disillusionment Charm on himself and prepared to return to the Ravenclaw common room.
As he walked, he instinctively activated his Source View, observing Hogwarts Castle from this perspective.
This magic castle was truly worthy of being the most mysterious place in the entire British wizarding world. Under the Source View, it was covered everywhere with Ancient Runes and strange lines, with magic power flowing through them; it was simply the greatest alchemical item!
Levi sometimes couldn't help but suspect that this castlewas a shared wizard tower built by the original the Four Founders.
It was just that because the magical civilization of the era the the Four Founders lived in was still relatively primitive, the entire castle hadn't been fully equipped like a wizard tower.
But even so, Hogwarts Castle still provided Levi with many ideas and many things worth learning from.
He planned to apply many of the unique designs to his own wizard tower.
Particularly the Room of Requirement, this miraculous place. Levi still hadn't fully understood it even now, which was why he placed the Tower Spirit in the Room of Requirement.
Once he found Ravenclaw's Diadem, his next research target would be the Room of Requirement.
In the castle late at night, besides Filch and his cat Mrs. Norris, there were no other living creatures moving about.
But there are no absolutes; Hogwarts is never lacking in those brave young wizards who dare to wander at night!
As Levi walked along, under his Source View, he discovered more than one young wizard sneaking around the castle.
After all, the culprit behind the terrorist attacks in the castle, the Wormtail Peter Pettigrew, had already been caught!
Even the mastermind, the Horcrux that was tom riddles diary which manipulated everything, had been decisively handed over to Headmaster Dumbledore by Levi.
The villain of this school year had been solved by a single report from Levi, and the castle had returned to its former tranquility.
Since the environment was safe, the young wizards' courage grew, and as if to make up for lost time, they engaged in even more frantic night wandering.
As Levi walked, he encountered not only the likes of the Weasley Twins but also some upperclassmen in pairs, secretly dating!
"They've grown up, it's so nice! But, they won't end up... creating a life in the school, will they?"
He glanced at the soul symbol and magic source huddled together, thinking with a mix of amusement and exasperation.
But he felt that even if a life was created, it wouldn't be much. Given the pitifully small population of the wizarding world, if a life really was created, they would probably just take a year off school to give birth first!
Things like shotgun weddings were just a bit of gossip in the wizarding world!
Even the Professors would likely only be able to scold them with a dark face and then help cover it up!
Using his Source View to observe the pairs of secret lovers, Levi acted entirely as a bystander enjoying the spectacle.
The only pity was that under Source View, he couldn't see the specific activities of these Wizards; he could only see their names through the Marauder's Map.
Especially on the Marauder's Map, where two pairs of footprints were in a special position, entangled together, Levi watched the drama and remarked:
"There's actually such a position? I've learned something new!"
"Eh?"
Just as he was about to return to the Ravenclaw Tower, Levi passed through a corridor and suddenly let out a soft exclamation in his heart!
Under his Source View, he actually saw an incredibly miraculous scene.
A massive amount of Ancient Runes and strange lines were entangled together, as dense as a rag, with magicpower flowing through them as if it had condensed into substance.
His Source View could not even penetrate this scene to see what exactly existed behind it.
What is this?
An unprecedented curiosity suddenly surged in Levi's heart. He deactivated his Source View and looked toward that strange existence.
As it turned out, there was actually nothing there!
