[Victory!]
Seeing his own ninja kick the opponent off the log, the Third Hokage's tightly furrowed brow finally relaxed.
"Sorry, Naruto. But as Hokage, if I can't seize victory this time, how could I possibly have the courage—or the confidence—to stand against the other hidden villages?"
The Third was the first to challenge Naruto, knocking him down and seizing the ring.
When he saw the two organizations matched against each other, he had already formulated his battle plan.
He couldn't afford to lose! He had to win as fast as possible!
The Third quickly noticed the points display for the three organizations in the upper-left corner rising simultaneously—but the maximum limit was 5000 points.
Did that mean the organization that reached 5000 first would automatically secure victory?
Not only that, but behind each organization's name, the current number of participants and the number of occupied rings were displayed as well.
[Hokage — 5 — 4]
[Konoha Root — 5 — 3]
[Uzumaki Naruto — 5 — 3]
Each organization had five members, totaling fifteen participants.
However, since the Heaven Battlefield only had ten rings, that meant some wouldn't have one to occupy.
Even without a ring, points still increased—but of course, not as much as when occupying one...
"A timed bonus ring just appeared! Everyone, pay attention!" shouted the Third Hokage.
Because all ten rings were already occupied, the one with a timed bonus instantly became everyone's target.
And the person currently occupying that ring was...
"So everyone's aiming at me now, huh?" Asuma stared at the challenge screen that had just appeared, his expression serious.
"Asuma, even if you can't hold it, use your summoning before you fall! Drain as much HP from them as you can!" ordered the Third immediately.
"I got it," Asuma replied, fully focused on the match.
Since the Third was still in his protection period, he took a brief moment to glance around. Inside the Hokage's office, everyone else was sitting intently, phones in hand, eyes glued to the screens.
Kakashi and Guy had declined to join, and there was no response from Jiraiya or Tsunade, so the current members of the [Hokage] organization besides the Third were:
Sarutobi Asuma, Yūhi Kurenai, Yamato, Hayate Gekkō, Mitarashi Anko, Ebisu, Shiranui Genma, Namiashi Raidou, and Tatami Iwashi.
These were some of the best Konoha could offer—except for Iwashi, everyone else was a Jōnin.
And Iwashi, as one of the Fourth Hokage's former guards, could perform the Flying Thunder God Technique together with Raidō and Genma.
That was one of the main reasons the Third had chosen him.
Though this wasn't the complete form of his envisioned team, the Third believed that one day it would be—becoming one of the most formidable organizations in the entire ninja world!
The Third turned his gaze back to the phone screen, and his brow lifted slightly.
He had already entered battle—and his opponent was… Konoha Root!
...
"Hiruzen, let's settle this here and now!"
In the underground Root base of the village, Danzō sat with his nine chosen members.
Relying on his instincts, he had correctly guessed that the Third would choose the Heaven Battlefield—and as expected, he found him here.
There was no need for words. Time to fight!
"Battle start!"
Both Danzō and the Third were using [Might Guy]—currently the strongest ninja in the Ninja Mobile Game.
There were a few other decent characters, such as [Uchiha Obito·Youth], known for his massive damage output—but overall, none could compare to [Might Guy].
...
As soon as they entered the duel, Danzō realized he had gained the upper hand.
The Third's loadout used Super Armor, while Danzō's was Dispel!
Everyone knew that Dispel countered Super Armor perfectly—it was the cure for all those reckless players who thought spamming Super Armor made them invincible.
From this alone, Danzō smugly concluded that his game sense surpassed Hiruzen's.
"Hiruzen, be cursed for standing against me!" Danzō muttered to himself, fingers dancing rapidly across the screen as he aggressively pressed forward.
This was his latest insight into PvP battles:
Be bold! Take risks!
But the Third was playing sly—hugging the edge of the stage, refusing to come out.
His HP was already low. Though he'd defeated Naruto earlier, his health bar had taken a hit. It was wiser to stall and wait for an opening.
Yet Danzō wasn't going to give him that chance.
His [Might Guy] leapt high, driving a powerful kick straight at the Third.
Boom!
[Might Guy]'s second skill unleashed a shockwave upon contact.
The Third's [Might Guy] was blasted backward, slamming into the edge of the arena before bouncing back.
Danzō steadied his position, ready to land some normal attacks while saving his first skill.
But the Third instantly used a Substitution Jutsu, counterkicking Danzō in return—knocking a huge chunk off his HP bar.
"What?!" Danzō's eyes widened in disbelief.
What was going on? Was the game bugged? They were using the same skills—so why was the Third's damage so much higher?
Every ninja knew by now that the Ninja Mobile Game had something called critical hits.
Those were pure luck—if RNG favored you, a few crits in a row could deal monstrous damage.
But Danzō could see clearly—even with his one remaining eye—that there was no critical-hit effect on screen.
So this made no sense...
He didn't have time to think it through. He couldn't afford to take another hit, so he immediately used Substitution.
The Third tried to retreat—but Danzō's [Might Guy] spun and hit him with a sweeping kick, launching him into the air, then followed up with a second skill for more damage.
"This match is over," sighed the Third.
And as expected, it soon was.
After the Substitution, Danzō immediately summoned his continuous Summon. The Third responded by activating Super Armor—but within seconds, Danzō's Dispel Technique nullified it completely.
"Summon into Dispel—my perfect combo!"
The Third had already used his Summon earlier against Naruto, leaving him defenseless this time.
He was cornered, unable to recover, and finally lost the match.
The Heaven Battlefield was designed like this—it wasn't the same as 3v3 duels, but rather single-ninja matches.
Once a ninja was defeated, they couldn't be used again. You had to choose another.
If you were defending the ring, your HP and state carried over into the next round—unless that ninja was defeated, you couldn't switch.
While the Third was still selecting his next ninja, Danzō sat there, beaming with satisfaction, unable to hide his grin.
"Hiruzen, I've won!"
Watching his ninja stand triumphantly where the Third's had fallen, Danzō felt an indescribable thrill—better than even pulling a top-tier character from a ten-pull High-Class Recruitment.
It wasn't the first time he'd enjoyed such a victory, though...
He remembered the time he thought he'd successfully assassinated Hiruzen—only for the man to show up alive right in front of him.
At that moment, as Danzō sat in the Hokage's chair, he'd felt awkward, ashamed, furious—all at once.
Ahem. No need to bring up old history.
The great battle continued!
