Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Preparing for Battle

"Matching has started! Matching has started!"

"Which organization is it?"

"I hope we get two weaker ones."

"Hey! Of course, we have to defeat the strongest organization to prove our strength! It'd be best to match against Third Hokage! Teach him a lesson!"

"Yeah! If we defeat Grandpa, we'll become famous by tomorrow!"

"Defeat the Third Hokage!!"

"Defeat the Third Hokage!"

"Quiet!!!"

With a roar from Sasuke, the previously noisy crowd immediately fell silent, closing their mouths and not daring to speak.

There was no other choice—they had to follow the host.

At 8:45 PM, the entire [Uzumaki Naruto] organization gathered, rolling up their sleeves and preparing for the upcoming battle.

Since Naruto had gone to Sasuke's house for a meal, it was decided to hold tonight's group activity there.

Sasuke strongly refused, but it was useless—at this point, Sasuke no longer had a say in his own home.

"Does anyone want something to drink?" Mikoto, wearing an apron, leaned slightly over the table and asked the few kids seated there.

"Juice!" Konohamaru raised his hand.

"Milk!" Udon raised his hand.

"Just plain water, thank you, Mikoto-san." Moegi stood up and helped Mikoto.

Watching these familiar little troublemakers, Sasuke's expression darkened.

"This isn't a gathering or a party… do you even understand?"

"Aw, don't be stingy, Sasuke." Naruto waved dismissively, adding, "Teuchi-san, I want a bowl of ramen,~"

"Naruto, where would I get ramen for you right now!" Ayame tapped Naruto on the head.

"Hahaha! Don't worry, I brought it!" Teuchi pulled a wooden box from behind him, revealing ten small bowls of ramen.

"Oh! As expected of Teuchi-san!" Naruto laughed, grabbing the ramen and distributing it to everyone, of course including Sasuke.

"I don't want it!" Sasuke snapped sharply.

"Fine, then I'll eat yours." Naruto didn't hold back and placed two bowls in front of himself.

Seeing this, Sasuke grew even angrier and reached up to grab Naruto by the collar, ready to hit him.

Luckily, Sakura's quick reflexes stopped him. After some pleading and persuasion, Sasuke abandoned the idea of chasing everyone out.

"Sasuke, team cooperation means sharing information to perform better!" Kakashi leisurely sipped his tea.

"Next time, we'll go to your place, Kakashi!" Sasuke said sullenly.

"Sure, I don't mind—after all, there's no one else at my house anyway," Kakashi replied with a smile.

Sasuke was speechless, unable to argue, and sat there silently in frustration.

When Mikoto returned, she noticed Sasuke's low spirits but didn't say anything—just patted his head and distributed the drinks.

A small table was obviously too cramped for ten people, so everyone found a spot.

Sakura took a sip of water and noticed Kakashi topping up his phone with funds.

Quietly, she moved closer and saw him drawing for High-Class Recruitment.

"Kakashi-sensei, don't you already have Guy-sensei?" Sakura asked, puzzled.

"First, I already have [Might Guy], an A-rank High-Class Ninja," Kakashi sighed. "Second, I realized ninjas can keep drawing—these fragments might still be useful."

Kakashi's voice was loud enough for everyone present to hear, so they all gathered around—except Sasuke.

Clatter, clatter…

After a while, Kakashi felt it was enough and returned to the ninja page, only to see [Might Guy Fragments 63/60].

Suddenly, the words "Upgrade Star" lit up with a halo, extremely eye-catching.

Kakashi tapped it, the 60 fragments disappeared, and [Might Guy] was upgraded from two stars to three stars.

"Oh?! Upgraded?" Naruto's face showed surprise.

"So that's how it works, two stars aren't the max—extra fragments can be used for upgrading." Kakashi nodded thoughtfully.

C-rank ninja starts at one star; the first upgrade requires 30 fragments. Newly recruited ones are 10 fragments, so two-star C ninja needs 40 fragments.

B-rank and A-rank start at two stars; recruitment requires 40 fragments, and upgrading to three stars needs 60 fragments.

Add it all up—it's exactly 100 fragments…

Kakashi understood: S-rank ninja should start at three stars and require 100 fragments for recruitment!

Although S-rank ninja hadn't been released yet, this deduction wasn't difficult.

Upgrading also increases combat power…

Kakashi smiled. "Time's almost up. Are you guys still going to crowd around me?"

Naruto and the others realized and checked their phones. The battlefield would start in one and a half minutes, and the two opposing organizations had appeared.

[Uzumaki Naruto]

[Hokage]

[Konoha Root]

What a pinnacle match!!

Kakashi was speechless—was this really random?

"Awesome! We really matched with Grandpa!" Konohamaru was overjoyed, practically itching to start a three-hundred-round battle in the game.

"We're lucky—but who's the other organization? Forget it." Naruto ignored it and immediately began assigning tasks.

"I, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi-sensei, and Mikoto-san will attack the sky! Konohamaru, Moegi, Udon, Teuchi-san, and Ayame will attack the ground!"

After reading it aloud, Naruto felt a surge of pride.

This was the organization he had built—it wasn't easy, but every member was a trustworthy comrade.

"I must remind you, the opponent is extremely, extremely, extremely strong. Don't underestimate them," Kakashi stressed, repeating "extremely" three times.

The others knew it, but Kakashi was reminding them anyway.

Although they had refused the Third Hokage's invitation on the grounds of joining Naruto's organization, most of the other names on the list were already in the game.

This meant he was about to lead these kids against a battle-hardened elite team.

Not to mention the threat of Danzo's forces on the other side.

"Don't worry, Kakashi-sensei! We'll make them scramble for their hair!" Naruto was full of confidence.

"Scramble for their teeth, not hair! They're not monks—don't say nonsense!" Sasuke corrected, but his face showed full battle intent.

Even though it was just a ninja mobile game, in a sense, they were about to face Hokage-level opponents. How could they not be excited?

Their resolve seemed to infect the others.

Even Teuchi and Ayame, brought along by Naruto just to fill numbers, assumed a serious stance.

Mikoto looked at everyone ready and serious, and couldn't help but smile gently.

"Good luck, Uzumaki Naruto!"

"Yes!!" Naruto responded with full energy, quickly realizing she was addressing the [Uzumaki Naruto] organization.

There was no time for embarrassment—the battlefield was opening!

Naruto ignored the image of Jiraiya sitting in the middle when selecting the battlefield, and immediately entered the Sky Battlefield.

Before the battle officially started, he needed to select one ninja, one summoning, and one Secret Scroll.

Of course, he chose [Might Guy].

Upon entering the battlefield, huge wooden stakes filled the screen, one after another.

[Invincible Hokage First Organization Buff]

Naruto casually applied a buff and then tapped a stake. His ninja immediately appeared on it.

Almost instantly, the other stakes were filled with ninjas, mostly [Might Guy], with a few [Kakashi Hatake].

There was a ten-second protection period after occupying a stake. When it ended, someone immediately attacked Naruto.

Naruto stared, cold sweat forming on his forehead.

"It's Grandpa Hokage!!!"
