Jaxon frowned. The others quickly realized what the lost signal meant, and the relaxed atmosphere disappeared in an instant.
"Everyone, get to the ground floor!" he shouted. The upper floors were too exposed, and they needed a way out if the building started collapsing.
He turned and sprinted toward the stairs. Natasha, Cindy, Bong-gu, and Thomas followed without hesitation.
Alyssa frowned as she watched them rush away, but after a brief moment, she slung her shotguns into position and followed.
"What's going on?" she asked as she caught up with them.
Jaxon didn't answer. His eyes were fixed upward, his heightened senses detecting something moving above them.
Then he stopped abruptly.
"Get down!"
The others barely had time to react.
BOOM! The ceiling above them shook violently.
A powerful impact struck the floors overhead, followed by the sound of concrete cracking and metal twisting.
