Chapter 629 - Chapter 629: International Superstar

Snape had not completely refused Tver's proposal. Of course, he was not about to abandon Hogwarts' "adorable" students and run off to start a business outside.

In fact, as thanks for Tver saving his life, on the morning Tver left Hogwarts, Snape placed the Resurrection Stone among the many improved potion formulas he had spent years researching, and handed them all to Tver.

"How did I never realize this stone had so much power?" Marvolio said sourly, turning the Resurrection Stone over in his hand.

After hearing about Tver's experience in Limbo, he was so envious his eyes nearly turned red.

For powerhouses at their level, raising their strength even slightly could take decades, and that was only with extraordinary talent and good luck.

Otherwise, Dumbledore would not have remained so far ahead, firmly holding the title of the greatest White Wizard.

But now, if Marvolio could still wrestle with Tver before, then after Tver's enlightenment through the badge and the Deathly Hallows, he could only go from being beaten to being beaten.

Wait, was there any difference?

Marvolio thought strangely.

"The badge has a strong active consciousness. If you don't have thoughts as great as mine, there's no way to receive its help," Tver said, comforting him as if it were only natural.

He had already returned the Cloak of Invisibility and the Elder Wand to Harry and Dumbledore.

Although Dumbledore had said he could give him the Elder Wand, for the current Tver, using his own wand felt more comfortable than chasing after added power.

So in a sense, the badge in Tver's hand had become a Deathly Hallow belonging to him alone.

"What, are you planning to find someone to pass the badge on to?"

Marvolio suddenly leaned over, pointing at himself with a shameless smile.

"That's right." Tver glanced at him and pretended not to understand what he meant, then sighed. "For me, this badge only has sentimental value left. But for other wizards, especially young wizards who haven't yet laid a solid foundation, the effect it can produce is extraordinary."

In Limbo, every mark the four Founders had left in the badge had disappeared. What remained was only the essence of their lifetime of knowledge.

Of course, Tver could now leave his own mark in the badge, thereby becoming the next generation's...

Old grandpa?

He looked strangely at the badge in his hand, and the thought of leaving something behind suddenly became complicated.

Marvolio's face instantly filled with a flattering smile.

"Then is there any possibility of giving this badge to a wizard who is already very powerful, so he can assist you and better protect this world?"

"Impossible. Absolutely impossible," Tver refused flatly.

Of course, Tver was not deliberately targeting Marvolio, so when he saw Marvolio's resentful look, he still explained.

"The badge is far less useful than you imagine. The knowledge inside is only foundational to you."

To prove his point, Tver tossed the badge directly to Marvolio.

"For wizards at our level, enlightenment on the level of life itself is far more important than the badge."

Marvolio curled his lip and tossed the badge back in disappointment.

It was not that he failed to understand this. It was just that...

"We agreed that you would give Voldemort's soul to me to merge with, so I could break through this awkward state caused by my missing soul. And what happened?"

He huffed and sat back down, very resentful of Tver's broken promise.

In Marvolio's current state, the only thing truly limiting him was the lack of soul power. If that could not be made up for, then his strength was basically destined never to break through again.

Of course, even like this, his strength was already something most wizards could never hope to reach in their entire lives.

It was only that the wizards around him were rather strong.

"What use is being strong?" Tver chuckled, full of confidence in himself.

"Is there anyone in this world who dares shout at us?"

It was not that he had become arrogant. Given their current transcendent status and strength, there was simply no one foolish enough to provoke them.

"Tver Fawley!"

An angry voice suddenly exploded from the doorway, followed by a bang as the office door was shoved open.

Even with Crystal trying to stop her, Joanne shook off her arm and rushed in.

"What exactly are you trying to do? You broadcast what happened at Hogwarts in front of so many people. If that battle isn't in the books later, won't the readers roast me alive?"

"Er..."

Seeing Joanne behave so rudely, Tver had been a little displeased at first. But after hearing what she said, his displeasure turned into embarrassment.

The success of the Harry Potter series was partly due to strong support from governments around the world, but the wondrous magical world it depicted was also an important factor.

But now, because of his livestream, not only had Hogwarts been exposed, the "ending" had even been spoiled.

Perhaps even the faces of Harry and the other main characters and important supporting characters were now widely known.

"Say something!"

Joanne frowned at Tver, but when she saw that he could not answer, a sly glint flashed in her eyes.

"You have to give me a solution, right? Otherwise, I can only write the story according to the past six years of plot, meaning what actually happened in reality."

She put on an aggrieved expression and sat down beside Marvolio, across from Tver.

But she did not keep pretending for long before she could not help leaning forward, moving closer to Tver with an expectant smile.

"In that case, does that mean I can write your image into the story? Don't worry, I'll definitely make you especially handsome and dashing, with just the right touch of old-fox scheming."

So that was her real aim.

A teasing smile appeared on Tver's face. He did not answer, simply watching Joanne with calm composure.

After they remained deadlocked for quite a while, Joanne finally realized that her terrible acting had caused her plan to fail completely.

She sat back helplessly and lay there in self-abandonment, though it was hard to tell whether it was because of her poor acting or because she had thought of how difficult writing would be in the future.

"Can't you show me a little sympathy? The second book in the Harry Potter series is already about to be published, and then you go and pull something like this."

"Do you even know?" She slammed the armrest of the chair, producing a sharp smack.

"Your fame around the world has already far surpassed those so-called international superstars. Readers have been asking me why you aren't in The Philosopher's Stone."

"?"

Tver pointed at himself in confusion.

"Me? An international superstar?"
