"Did Stephanie tell you she told me that she was dating you while you were supposedly my boyfriend?" Emily asked pleasantly. "Did she mention to you that she told me that you two were conducting an affair behind my back? That you sent each other messages laughing about how pathetic I was? No? How surprising that she left those details out."
Benjamin's face went white. "Emily, I didn't....that was..."
"Ancient history," Emily said. "I don't care anymore. You were weak and manipulative, she was cruel and calculating, and together you made my life hell. But I survived. I thrived. And now I'm married to a man who actually values me, who protects me, who treats me like I matter."
She looked at Stephanie, whose tears had dried up, replaced by cold calculation.
