"So, you won't give me justice?" asked Kaylah. She gave Caroline a look full of resentment. "You imprisoned Prince Franklin—you taken this empire as your own, and will crown yourself as the future emperor. Why can't you just let him go?"
Caroline smirked at Kaylah. She knew that this girl's real intention was to get Franklin out of the jail.
"I should let him out?" Caroline asked. Her voice was low, borderline dangerous.
Kayla flinched in fear, yet nodded her head. "Yes, Your Majesty." She tried to look into the blonde woman's eyes, but couldn't. The woman in front of her was so frightening that she believed her soul would be torn into pieces if their eyes met.
"I can't do that. But justice?" Caroline crouched a little, gripping Kaylah's chin. "I can do justice by sending you to your grandfather."
Caroline's words were so cold that Kaylah's eyes teared up.
As soon as her chin was released, Kaylah stood up.
