Chapter 15 - Dabura

Medical robots checked every sorcerer carefully and bandaged small bruises and wounds.

Bandages of this era have great healing potential, so these small wounds were never the reason for worry.Dodo especially was more injured, so he was admitted to one of the nearest hospitals — Tokyo Welven Care Hospital. He didn't even have any kind of deep wound.

Hall itself wasn't in good condition. All of its floor was shattered and damaged. There were many black stains on white tiles because of the fire. Usami was forced by himself to get out of his regrettable trauma, also thanks to Mino, who consoled him at that time.

Everything was going smoothly like it should after a disaster. Ronnie and Hojo were going outside from the hall. On one of the gates, Usami was instructing a few firefighters and some of the bothering robots. Before stepping outside, Ronnie said a few last words to Usami.

"You should have warned us before taking your test. Be careful with sorcerers; they aren't ordinary humans."Hojo also glanced last time at Usami before coming outside. Hojo was actually working for money.Usami turned his head toward Ronnie and sighed deeply with a faint smile.

"Both of them are really different from the rest of the sorcerers."*****"Sir, what happened there? I saw an ambulance entering inside the building." The driver asked Hojo while driving the car. His eyes were focused outside.

Hojo stared for a moment at the driver's face and sighed. He straightened his hand and legs while sitting on seat and taking a deep breath."Nothing special. Someone got injured badly in training. But injuries aren't very fatal. Anyways, can you play some music?"With his gaze fixed on driving, his voice commanded the AI system in the car to play music."Oila, play music.

"Within a second, a song started playing. Instead of words, it was filled with tunes, which was actually comforting.Hojo was thinking about Ronnie. His speed was even faster than Hojo's himself.

The way that he had placed his katana's blade on Usami's throat was too elegant. Each and every swing was an example of pure art.But the thing Hojo was most worried about was—how the hell did he break through his infinity? He didn't even see any wound on his body.

Only his clothes were torn apart. 'I had to buy a shirt with my own money balance. That bastards didn't even paid a penny for the shirt he tored.' Hojo thought as he cursed Ronnie inside.Hojo lifted his seat down and relaxed his body. The air conditioner inside the car was cooling down his body.

As he kept thinking about it, he took a nap inside the car. Then suddenly, a car came crashing right toward them. In the blink of an eye, all glasses broke, and both cars collapsed, rolling over the earth.

Fortunately, Hojo was only half-asleep, so the driver was also all right. Hojo rubbed his before glancing at the cars engulfed by the fire. The driver was in shock; even though Hojo had saved him, his one hand was still bleeding.

There were some scratches on his face also.Hojo stared around to check the direction from which the car had come. In the east, smoke was rising there. The air was filled with noises and continuous car horns.

"I don't know who, but he must pay for the damage to the car." He vanished from his place, and the next moment he was standing on an electric pole on a single leg.

He scanned around and instantly spotted the cause of destruction around the city. He was a tall man. Not 'tall' but very tall, like a tree, reaching over 7 feet in height.

There were two horns protruding from his forehead which curved upward. Like Dodo, his upper body was naked with many visible scars and healed wounds on his chest and abdomen. Hojo's vision range was far more than ordinary, but even with this long-sighted range, he was struggling to get a clear picture of him.

"Let's see the effect of my self-training, which I've been doing for a few days." Hojo whispered before his hand grip tightened and nerves bulged out on his forearms and neck.Suddenly, his eyes' colour became more shaded and iridescent.

In his ears, people's breathing sounds echoed with their whispers. All kinds of noises and sounds were now crystal clear; he could even sense frequency and location.

The sounds which were shadowing all others were screams, blasts, and the running sound of footsteps. It was only his sense of hearing. About his sense, he had a clear image of all motions and movements, even tiny fluctuations at the molecular level.

That's why, for a few seconds, he naturally got goosebumps. The sense of smell was also increased. But his vision's limit increases tenfold. 45 kilometres (45000 metres or 27.96 miles) of distance was clearly visible like it was only tens of metres.

That's when he found the monster. A monster playing with lives of people. He had two horns and a third eye especially. He was hovering in the air, walking like air materialised for him to step on.

Each time when he swings his hands a little, one of the near buildings gets slashed in two, collapsing instantly and taking the lives of everyone under its shade. [Here 'under its shade' is used for people standing below in contrast to the building.]

There was no mercy in his eyes, but pure evilness.'Who the hell is he? Should I inform that minister?' Hojo was thinking about informing Usami of the situation, and coincidentally a call arrived on his watch.

Hojo glanced at his watch for a moment, and the call got connected automatically. "Hello." His watch was connected with earbuds in Hojo's ears."Hello, Hojo. It's an emergency.

Just near you, an alien is creating havoc there. Go there immediately and protect as many humans as you can. You are nearest to him!!"Hojo was going to say something in reply, but the call got disconnected before it.

Hojo focused himself on that 'alien' and vanished from there. He was actually standing on one leg. His speed was even greater than the speed of sound. So before a second could even pass, he was already standing on the building. Just behind Simurian king Dabura.
