At once, all four Pokémon moved, surrounding Beedrill and Haunter in the middle, attacking them in a frenzy. Beedrill was constantly struggling to cope, facing perilous situations and narrowly avoiding powerful attacks. If it weren't for their agility, they would likely have fallen and lost their ability to battle by now.

The situation was critical; continuing like this would only be more disadvantageous for Alex Carter. Yet, he remained calm, hiding behind Muk, directing Haunter and the others to counterattack, occasionally seizing openings to land a few hits.

"What a joke! I won't give up until the very last moment. I'm a man destined to be number one."

At the same time, Alex's heart stirred, and he took out his two remaining Poké Balls. These two were Dive Balls, quite expensive, and most effective for catching Water-type Pokémon. Alex had only recently exchanged them from the point mall. Water-type Pokémon account for a huge proportion, and many Water-type Pokémon are also very powerful, leading to a shortage of items like Dive Balls, so their prices have been continuously rising. Even in the point mall, each of these balls sold for 10,000 points.

Inside these two balls were the mutated Magikarp and the Tentacool he had recently caught. He had acquired this mutated Magikarp from Magikarp Uncle through a mix of persuasion and purchase, and despite knowing its chances of evolving were slim, he had cared for it meticulously, just as he did for the Tentacool.

Although the Pokémon Alex caught were mostly fierce Poison-type or Dark-type Pokémon, he cared for them very carefully, and he didn't want to catch too many Pokémon, as he wouldn't be able to look after them all. He wasn't like Ash, who had professors backing him up. No matter how many Pokémon Ash caught, Professor Oak would take care of them, not only not minding but also delighted to expand the Pokédex.

Therefore, Alex invested a great deal of effort and emotion into his Pokémon, because he also hoped to build a very strong bond with them. Even for this seemingly useless Magikarp that only knew how to jump around, he would use items to comb its scales every day, help Tentacool with massages, and also buy food that Water-type Pokémon liked to feed them. Whenever he encountered water, he would release them to play together.

However, given the current situation, it seemed he was in grave danger, with very little hope, so he shouldn't hold back his Pokémon.

"You belong to the Stardust Sea, a vaster world; you shouldn't be confined with me for a lifetime. I'm in great peril this time, and you two are too weak, so don't follow me anymore."

"After this farewell, it will likely be difficult to meet again. Go!"

Alex said, opening the two Dive Balls and releasing Magikarp and Tentacool into the river behind him.

Pokémon possess superhuman intelligence; there is no doubt about that. Even a simple-minded Magikarp clearly sensed that today's situation was different. Magikarp and Tentacool were caught off guard by their Trainer's actions. He actually released them?!

And the sole purpose was not to implicate them, not to let them suffer misfortune. For a moment, Magikarp and Tentacool remained on the water's surface, unsure of what to do.

"Hurry and go, as far as you can, before they discover you!"

Alex took a deep breath, and despite his reluctance, he coldly waved his hand, no longer looking at them, but turned around to focus on the troublesome enemies. The current situation was already very grim; a slight slip-up would lead to defeat.

"Muk, you go and help Haunter and the others too," Alex said after stroking his chin and pondering for a while.

Muk turned its head and looked at Alex questioningly; it was clearly worried that without its protection, Alex would be attacked by those people. It would be wishful thinking if those people were to let go of such a good opportunity to attack.

"Don't worry about me, just go, I have a plan," Alex whispered to Muk. Alex's expression was composed; even when pushed to such a desperate situation, he showed no trace of panic.

"You're really good. As a Trainer who just started his journey not long ago, you're already considered an outstanding one. It's a pity, though I admire you greatly, you still can't escape this calamity."

"Poochyena, use Bite on this Trainer."

Saying this, the man casually threw out another Poké Ball. As soon as Poochyena landed, it opened its gaping maw and swiftly rushed towards Alex.

Seeing this scene, Alex was startled. He hadn't expected these people to have other Pokémon on hand; this was truly a miscalculation. Alex's mouth twitched. Pokémon are much faster than humans, and Alex had no time to react, watching as Poochyena's large mouth was about to snap shut.

At this moment, it was as if everything stood still, not even a breath of wind, and all sounds slowly ceased. Alex closed his eyes with a hint of despair.

Just at this critical moment, Beedrill suddenly buzzed, transforming into a yellowish-green light orb, and at a speed almost imperceptible to the naked eye, it crashed into Poochyena, knocking it out and rendering it unable to battle.

No one had expected that Beedrill, which had been entangled and unable to break free, would suddenly rush out to protect Alex.

And seeing this, the three men's faces grew even uglier.

"So, it learned U-turn? U-turn is incredibly fast and unstoppable; after using it, the Pokémon automatically returns to its Trainer's hand. That's truly surprising; to have mastered the strongest Bug-type move at this moment, your Beedrill is truly extraordinary," the tall man said coldly.
