NARRATOR POV
As his eyes slowly opened, his body felt paralyzed and weak, but his mana vessels were stronger and well-built, having probably evolved as well. As his head turned, his eyes slowly adjusted to the bright light as he opened them.
Ariel, finally it's been so.... I thought u left us.... He stared blankly at his mother as her eyes began to tear up and her quiet sobs reached his ears, but the affection he felt for his mother felt distant, as if something was denying the fact that she was his mother. The lady felt something off as she stopped sobbing and was now staring at his face, which had no expression displayed on it...
Not long after his father entered the room, a sigh of relief escaped his lips as he stared down at Ariel. Slowly, a smile appeared across his face. "You did it. Ariel slowly shifted his gaze to his father with the same blank expression on his face, but his eyes glinted in suspension as to what he was talking about, "What's wrong with my son Ether?" Her eyes narrowed at her husband's silence and stiff body. He knew something was wrong with his child, and that something was reacting to him.
Ariel shifted his gaze uncomfortably between the two, his expression shifting from hate to love constantly, "I should kill him." Ariel's mind raced at the thought of killing his own father. This time, his gaze was on Ether, completely sharp and calculating his way out. His body jolted, cutting off his train of thought and suppressing his killing intent on his father, as his mom pulled him in for a hug, he could feel her warm hands on his face as tears dropped on him. He felt his heart squeeze as if he had lost something important and was struggling not to even remember.
After some time, Circe finally pulled away from him, slowly cleaning tears from his face that he did not even realize fell from his eyes, but it stung.
Ariel's eyes grew warmer as he glanced up at his dad before his eyes landed back on his mom. "I did mom. I came back," he finally managed to force out of his vocal cords, his voice hoarse and forced, his eyes gaining a little more focus as tears welled up in Circe's eyes. "What happened in there, Ariel?" ether question grabbed his attention from Circe's face back to him. Ariel's pupils dilated, forming his dragon pupils, probably gauging his father's power before he spoke up, "I don't really know, but everything worked out." hmmm the hum coming from Ether put Circe in action, as if planned, she got up to the bathroom, grabbing a bucket of water and a towel to clean Ariel. As she got back, Ether proceeded to leave the room before speaking once again," Come outside when you are well enough i will be waiting for you, son." Ether left the room tense as he left the room but it was Circe that broke the silence first as she continued to clean Ariel hand" He would not even say how worried he was while u were unconscious, he is a fool isn't he" she left out a giggle at her own question, Ariel let out a small chuckle before speaking again "How long was I asleep mom" Circe eyes darkened a little, she inhaled before replying him her voice low and audible" Six years, I missed you a lot son" she wiped a tear from her eye looking back at him with a smile" at least you are back now". Her face glowed as she smiled at him brushing his hair from his eye....
