Silva who was panting with exhaustion right now looked at the girl that had pulled him to safety just moments ago when he was about to get plastered by a giant.
She had deep green eyes with no aura that indicated that she was related to any gods. Silva realised he was looking at a person gifted with sight right now.
"Thank you" Silva said as he knew it might have been extremely difficult for the girl to run towards him while all these monsters were moving around the city. Even though Silva had manged to cull most of them, there were still a few left in the city who were looking for the culprit that made hundreds of monsters disappear in a short period of time.
The girl just slightly nodded and began looking out of the window fearfully. It's natural of course, she might have the sight, but she is still young. Sally Jackson was fearful of the world she was able to see, but even then she at least had Poseidon who explained things to her later on in her life.
But currently Silva was staring at a girl who can see the things that the adults surrounding her cannot.
After a few minutes, they were able to see the giant move away from the location. Silva sighed as he relaxed. But the same can't be told about the girl that saved him.
After figuring out that the giant left, she went to the corner of the room and sat down while shivering in fear. Silva looked around the room and saw that there was nothing in it. He slowly stood up and looked around the hallway until he found a bottle of water.
He brought back the bottle to the girl who started drinking it with shivering hands.
"My name is Silva what's yours?" Silva asked. But the girl did not reply for a few moments. But finally, she asked a question.
"Can you please tell me what they are, I don't want to be crazy anymore" She finally said out loud. Her voice was soft, but Silva was able to feel the repressed frustration beneath it. He sat down.
"Its going to be a long story, but its something you cannot avoid. But first of all, you are not crazy" Silva began while the girl listened in rapt attention.
"You have heard stories about gods, demons, monsters, angels etc right" Silva asked to which she nodded.
"Sorry to say, but they all do exist" Silva said "They have existed in this world for thousands of years and as long as mankind is alive, they will keep on existing"
"What do you mean, what gods are you talking about?" the girl asked taking in what he was saying.
"Every single one. Every single, Greek, Roman, Hindu, Christian, Shinto etc. All of them exist and to make sure the humans are protected from them, there exists a phenomena called the mist. A kind of layer that makes this side inaccessible to all humans as most of them could combust because of the influx of the information. That is the reason why no one other than you are able to see those monsters. The mist makes sure to protect them from seeing this side"
The girl stood up and began walking back and forth with the new information that Silva gave her. Even though it was only a few sentences, the magnitude of information within it was too much. And silva was sure with the girls experience, she will believe it easily.
"Then what are you, some kind of monster or what are you some kind of hunting god or something?" She asked to which Silva chuckled.
"Oh no, I'm not a god. but my mother or mothers are gods. You know about the Greek mythologies right. Like Heracles and Achilles"
The girls eyes widened in realisation as she recognised who was sitting in front of her.
"A demigod, you are half god. God as in god…" she asked stunned.
"Oh, don't get too excited. By gods I mean a small 'g' god not the capital 'G' one. Actually, it's best not to go in there for your own sanity" Silva said while keeping an eye in clouds to see whether Jason was going to show any proof of his existence. Thankfully there was none.
"But wait, if you are half god, that can explain how you can see all of these monsters.." She slightly paused while looking outside to see whether there were any more monsters nearby. "But what about me, I was not adopted and I am pretty sure that my parents are normal people not gods or monsters"
"I was about to come to that. Sometimes, by some unknown phenomena certain mortals are born with the ability to see through the mists, we call them as those who are gifted with the sight. I'm sorry to say that you are one of them and no it's a gift you are born with, I can't change it in any manner" Silva answered as he knew what the next question is going to be.
The girl began pacing around the room more and more as she took in all the information. Silva was able to see her clenching her fist in frustration and helplessness. But he knew he can't do anything about it. He can only tell the facts and how she handles it depends on her mental strength.
"So, you mean to say, that because of some cosmic joke lottery, I can see all the monsters like you, who is directly related to a god" She asked again.
"Actually, you can see better than any demigod. Even though we are half gods, half of us are still mortal and is susceptible to the mist, even monsters can be fooled by it. But people like you can see right through it without any problem" Silva clarified.
"Wait a moment, you keep saying we, are there multiple demigods or something" She asked to which Silva nodded.
For a moment they sat down for some time.
"So, what do I do now?" She asked.
"Nothing actually, demigods has a smell that monsters recognise which makes us five-star meals for them. But even though you are gifted with the sight, you are still completely mortal. As long as you act ignorant of everything like the people around you, they won't recognise you and will therefore leave you alone" Silva advised as he stood up "I got back enough energy some time ago, the monsters left the city because they had no idea what killed most of them, so you are safe for now"
Silva said as he exited the building, but the girl spoke up seeing that he was planning on leaving.
"Rachel"
"What?" Silva asked confused.
"Rachel Elizabeth Dare, that's my name" the girl said which made Silva freeze as he finally recognised the next oracle of Delphi.
A/N- hope you like it.
