Was Xu Dan a god?
No.
But the power of the system was not merely that of a god!
One might even say that even gods were under its control!
"So, shall I take you to meet him?" Xu Dan said. "If you're worried, you can go back and put on your Ant-Man suit. That guy has grown so big and reckless—he wouldn't even notice an ant."
Hank Pym was momentarily speechless, his face turning livid. After a long while, he finally replied, "No need. Your life is precious, kid. Since you dare to do it, what am I afraid of when I'm already halfway into the grave?"
......
Xu Dan went to settle the bill. Old Pym followed him into the car, and they drove toward Brooklyn.
Looking up at the increasingly magnificent Antarctic Biotechnology Company building, old Pym smacked his lips, his eyes filled with envy.
His own Pym Technologies was exhausted, pouring everything into a single massive project.
How could someone who developed games become such an ultimate nouveau riche?
Had the rules of this world changed?
"Please."
Old Pym said nothing and walked into the building.
The moment he entered, he was shocked once again.
Like an old man stepping into the Grand View Garden for the first time.
After a period of development, Antarctic Biotechnology Company's infrastructure had grown increasingly complete.
Upon entering, there was a vast circular rotunda.
From the outside, it was clearly a conventional office building, yet once inside, the space resembled a round fortress.
In the center of the hall, numerous holographic projections floated in the air.
"What's that?" Hank Pym pointed at a holographic dinosaur.
Xu Dan glanced at it casually and replied, "Oh, that's a dinosaur."
"Of course I know that!"
"I'm planning to make a movie—maybe call it Jurassic World or something."
"Aren't you a game company?"
"You're mistaken. I'm not a game company. My main business is games, but this company is a biotech firm."
Only then did Hank Pym finally understand.
There was something seriously wrong with this kid.
Before agreeing, his attitude had been very mild, and the conditions he offered were simply impossible to refuse.
But once you agreed, he began choking people without restraint.
If it were anyone else, the old man would have turned around and left long ago.
"This way!"
Riding the elevator upstairs, Hank Pym was once again stunned by the technology before him.
This entire floor felt as if one had stepped into the future—or rather, traveled decades ahead of time.
In comparison, his own Pym Technologies looked like something from the Stone Age.
"Wow, this is really blinding!"
"If you visited Antarctic KOS, I'm afraid you'd go completely blind."
"..."
Hank Pym was so angry his teeth itched.
————————
Finally, under Xu Dan's guidance, he met the monster—no, Bruce Banner.
Hank Pym eyed him warily, but the good-natured Banner happily extended his hand.
"Hello, Dr. Pym!"
"Ah… hello," old Pym replied, shaking hands reluctantly.
Could that monster really have been subdued by Xu Dan?
But how could such a method exist in this world?
That monster—even his generation of Ant-Man had no solution!
Impossible to kill!
Completely impossible to kill!
"Banner, I won't introduce him—you already know him. I've brought him here to assist you. Improve the helmet as soon as possible!"
Banner scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Assist… or maybe I should assist Dr. Pym?"
Although Banner was polite, old Pym became irritated and snapped, "So at first you told me you wanted me to downgrade that helmet, and now you're saying I've become the assistant?"
In their circle, being someone else's assistant was a huge blow to one's pride.
Everyone stood at the cutting edge of science. Becoming someone else's assistant meant admitting you were inferior.
Faced with old Pym's temper, Xu Dan smiled and said, "I heard Dr. Pym doesn't want the Wasp to come back? If she heard this—even if she remarried, you know, she's still young and beautiful now."
"..."
"Fine. I'll endure it."
At this moment, Banner once again displayed his good-old-man nature. "Dr. Pym, you can take a look at the big data here."
Taking the data sheet Banner handed over, Hank Pym frowned and skimmed through the figures.
But as he read, he realized something was terribly wrong.
The data far exceeded the limits of the human body. The only possible outcome should have been death.
"Oh my God! Are you conducting illegal experiments? Let me tell you, I can help you cover it up, but don't expect me to—"
Midway through his rant, old Pym flipped to another page—and froze.
Yikes.
He stared at the data continuously. After a long while, the shock on his face grew stronger and stronger. Finally, he asked, "Tell me—what kind of experiment is this? Is this still human?"
The numbers on the data sheet were terrifying.
For an Earthling, this would be enough to die ten times over.
Yet the same individual's data appeared continuously for one hundred hours.
That meant the experiment lasted for a full one hundred hours!
Xu Dan and Banner exchanged a glance and smiled, replying modestly, "Nothing special. It's an Asgardian."
"What? Asgardian?" Old Pym slammed the documents down and stared at Xu Dan. "Do you think I'm old and easy to fool?"
"Dr. Pym, it really is an Asgardian. I didn't believe it at first either, but you've seen the data," Banner quickly explained.
Suddenly, Xu Dan shot Banner a look. Banner understood instantly.
He walked to the console, rapidly entered a series of commands, and the center of the lab soon transformed.
A transparent cylinder pierced through the entire floor from top to bottom.
Inside that cylinder, a cube floated in midair.
A strange cube.
Its material—unknown.
All that could be seen was that it hovered weightlessly, emitting a dazzling, multicolored, mysterious light.
"Oh… God…" old Pym murmured.
With his knowledge, he naturally did not think this was some kind of vacuum chamber.
Whether the cube could float was no longer important.
What mattered was—
What was this mysterious cube?!
And he urgently needed to update his mental database.
There had been too much shock today.
All of it came from this young man, Xu Dan.
Although this young man loved to choke people, there was nothing to criticize about his insight and capability.
At the very least, it proved that his earlier judgment had not been wrong.
"Th-that… you're saying it's really Asgard?"
