Adam saw that the time was right and crushed the Elf Reincarnator's magic pill. The Magic Knight wearing a Crimson Lion cloak rolled on the ground in pain.
Adam quickly controlled the stones on the ground and hit him hard on the head, knocking the guy unconscious.
So tired.
"It's too annoying not having a real body."
The rescued people looked bewildered. They never thought such a thing was even possible.
"Forget it, I'll leave the rest to Xiaoshui!"
Adam praised himself for his foresight. If it weren't for Xiaoshui, he would've been in serious trouble by now.
"Let's head to the royal city and see what's going on."
These elves' hatred for the royal family ran deepest. After all, the shadow Adam had seen in the elf's memory resembled the Clover Royal Family from hundreds of years ago.
Just as Adam was flying toward the royal city, the elf who had taken over Langris's body led his companions and broke into the palace.
Yami and Jack arrived at the city gates and were stopped outside by the elves—along with Finral, who had just woken up.
The Royal Knights who were returning to the capital saw that Hage Village had been invaded by elves. Yuno suppressed the elf inside him and rushed to the village with Asta.

Vanessa and Magna exchanged glances, nodded to Xiaoshui, and continued flying toward the headquarters.

"Captain Yami! Senior Finral!"
Finral, standing behind the two captains, turned around in shock. When he saw Adam's appearance, his eyes widened.
"Adam, how did you end up like this?"
While fending off elf attacks, Yami shouted, "Yeah? How did you end up like this?"
You just noticed?!
Adam was speechless. His stubborn captain didn't care about him at all.
"A lot of things happened…"
He didn't stop to explain and flew past the barrage of attacks toward the inner city.
"Damn humans!"
No matter how the elves—disguised as Golden Dawn members—attacked him, Adam wasn't hurt at all, which made Finral envious to the point of drooling.
"Adam, where are you going?" Yami yelled.
"Inside—to take a look. I can't help much out here."
Yami's face darkened. Jack, who had been silent the whole time, laughed. "Hahaha, you sure found a bold subordinate!"
"None of your damn business."
Yami swung his Dark Cloaked Slash, Jack sliced through the elves' spells with his blades, and Finral opened portals to block stray attacks.
It was a perfect lineup—but the enemy's magic power was overwhelming.
"The Roar of the Sea Dragon!"
"Silver Rain!"
"Scorching Sun Bowl Combo!"
Mereoleona and her squad arrived just in time. Yami and Jack seized the opening to counterattack.
"Ah!"
Screams echoed as elves fell to the ground.
With all the main fighters gathered, they charged straight into the royal city.
"There's no time for catching up," Yami said quickly. "Jack and I will head to the king. You all spread out and save people!"
Nozel replied coldly, "Outsider, don't order us around so casually."
"Pigtails, you looking for a fight?"
The tension between the two was instantly shattered by Mereoleona's fiery temper.
"Shut up and get moving!"
"Fine!"
After that brief flare-up, everyone jumped into action.
Outside the Capital – Tree of Life Monument
"Ah! I'm alive!"
Rades, who had been sacrificed to the Tree of Life by Licht, awakened at the last moment—his soul saved by newly comprehended magic.
Vatos and Sally were pulled back into existence by Rades's spell.
"Ah! Licht, I'll kill you for this!" Rades shouted angrily.
Vatos and Sally said nothing—one couldn't believe it, the other simply didn't care.
"I have to go and ask Master Licht myself," Vatos said calmly. He couldn't believe what he'd seen after being saved once by Licht.
"Let's go! I'll make him pay!"
A black spatial tunnel appeared before the trio. Rades and Vatos entered first. Sally, ever the curious scientist, had nowhere else to go—so she followed them inside.
As the dark tunnel closed, their unfortunate journey continued.
Black Bulls Headquarters
"What happened here?"
Vanessa and Magna stared in disbelief at the ruins of their base.
"Who destroyed my vegetable garden?!"
Charmy, the little glutton, returned and exploded in fury when she saw her beloved garden ruined.
"It was the Eye of the Midnight Sun… and Gauche ran off too," Gordon said quietly.
Between one who spoke too softly, one who didn't speak human language, and one who was too shy—it took ages to get the story straight.
"Then let's eat first and head to the capital after!"
Chef Sheep started cooking, and the Black Bulls gathered around the table once again.
After the meal, they all rushed toward the capital.
Meanwhile, Asta and Yuno worked together to deal with the possessed elves in Hage Village. They barely had time to greet their family in the church before immediately heading for the royal capital.
Time was running short.
At that moment, Patolli reunited with his followers in the Shadow Palace. The golden, egg-shaped rock rapidly soared toward the royal capital.
Patolli believed he had received guidance from the ancient elf leader and that placing the final magic stone in the Shadow Palace would complete the elves' rebirth.
