Chapter 211 - Mewtwo's terrifying power

The ice tornado, carrying the Ice Beam, shattered in an instant, turning into countless ice crystals that poured down on Lorelei's six Pokémon like a storm!

Neither Lorelei nor Lapras had anticipated their own move being reflected back at them.

To directly reflect a move, it would either require a move like Mirror Coat or an inherent strength far surpassing that of the attacker.

Mewtwo was clearly the latter, using sheer strength to reflect all the attacks back. Mirror Coat requires taking a hit to reflect an attack, but she crushed all the attacks with superpower and then reflected them back.

The Blizzard that was reflected back hit all of Lorelei's Pokémon, blowing Lapras and others away, and frosting over their bodies.

Ice Type damage was usually moderate to them, but the attack that was reflected carried Mewtwo's superpower, which dealt significant damage.

Seeing the dire situation of her Pokémon made Lorelei's pupils contract sharply; the ominous feeling in her heart had finally come true!

The all-out attack using the power of her six Champion-level Pokémon was so easily overpowered in front of Mewtwo.

Mewtwo hadn't even used any exaggerated moves; just with telekinesis, she easily dispelled all the attacks and reflected them back.

This absolute power suppression made Lorelei break out in a cold sweat as she realized she faced an invincible entity.

Mewtwo wasn't just at the Champion Peak; her power was not the same level when she battled Ash. It's entirely incomparable!

Mewtwo back then was strong, even exceeding Champion Peak, but still fell into the 'Champion' category. Now Mewtwo gave Lorelei only one impression: divine!

Only something divine could instantly crush six Champion-level Pokémon. Among these six, one was at Champion Peak and two were at Champion Advanced Level. Anyone other than Divine Level, and she couldn't imagine losing.

But this time, it happened...

The Divine Level is a chasm humans can't cross. Humanity doesn't openly have anyone at Divine Level yet, and the difference between Divine Level and Champion Level is as vast as Champion Level and Professional Level, or even greater.

Even if Champion Peak meets Primary Divine Level, it's shattered upon contact, an immense disparity.

Before, Mewtwo hadn't reached Divine Level, which Lorelei could ascertain, whereas Ash's Lucario certainly reached Divine Level, making battling Mewtwo seem effortless.

Now though, Mewtwo's power also reached Divine Level, making it easier for her to handle Lorelei's six Pokémon than Lucario had with her at that time.

Back then, Mewtwo was at least halfway into Divine Level, whereas her Pokémon, even Lapras, hadn't explored that realm, as if Champion Peak was her limit.

This significant disparity in strength resulted in the current phenomenon. Even for Lorelei, the only feeling left was despair.

'Perhaps only Leon can handle Mewtwo now, but without Dynamaxing here, his Charizard might not be a match. First, call for Bruno and the others; if this situation isn't controlled, Kanto will be the first to fall.'

Lorelei's psychological resilience was strong. After the despair subsided, she quickly suppressed the negative emotions and contemplated ways to solve the situation.

She certainly couldn't resolve it alone, and globally, maybe only Leon had a chance against Mewtwo. Still, if Leon couldn't Dynamax, it'd be a severe handicap, and getting him from the Galar Region would mean they'd be wiped out before he arrived.

The best immediate step would be to call for reinforcements from the Elite Four of Kanto. Lance had returned from infiltrating Team Rocket, and Bruno and Agatha were near the Quartz Plateau, possibly making it to her side in under ten minutes. They just needed to hold on for ten minutes.

Lorelei took a deep breath, pulled open her blue shirt, reached inside, and pressed a button.

It was the emergency contact device for the Elite Four, every member of the Elite Four of Kanto had one. If activated, it indicated the initiator was in mortal danger, prompting nearby Elite Four to drop everything and provide immediate support!

The device was equipped with the Alliance's most advanced locator, capable of clear positioning even in extreme environments.

As Lorelei pressed the device, her slightly panicked heart calmed. The next step was to think of a way to hold on for ten minutes. If she couldn't endure even ten minutes, then it would just be her fate.

Initially not involving all of the Elite Four was partly to avoid attracting the attention of the person behind Mewtwo. Directly confronting them would make recapturing difficult, so the plan was for Lorelei, capable of freezing them, to go solo.

Lorelei was also very confident in her strength and thus chose to handle it alone without further discussion.

However, Mewtwo's power is clearly beyond their imagination, at Divine Level, which cannot be handled by a Champion, and even six Champion-level Pokemon cannot be a match for Divine Level.

If four Champion Trainers were here, they might not be able to defeat Mewtwo, but they could contend with him, and take the opportunity to destroy the Team Rocket technology beneath this island.

Putting aside the potential dangers Mewtwo might cause, it's the Team Rocket technology below that's most important; it must be destroyed, otherwise, if the alliance finds out, very bad things may happen.

Not everyone in the alliance is bright and noble.

But now, she is in desperate straits, so it's better not to think about such things and ponder how to last ten minutes.

'You must be quite outstanding among the human trainers, right? The strength of those six Pokemon is indeed good, but I'm not the same as before. Today, all of you will stay here.' As Mewtwo's voice fell, the ground beside the arena opened once again, and then black Pokeballs flew out from inside.

Currently, only Lorelei's Lapras can still stand up, the others are struggling to free themselves from the ice covering their bodies.

It was clearly the moves they unleashed, yet now they backfired, having such a large impact on them. It truly is something to laugh at if word gets out.

But now it's no longer about whether it will get out or not, the black Pokeballs are quickly approaching Lorelei's Pokemon, and once they are captured, even Champion-level cannot escape, because it's not only Team Rocket's technology, but also integrated with Mewtwo's power.

Thus, these Pokeballs possess more formidable shackling power than the original, and even Champion-level cannot easily break free.

By the time they break free from the Pokeballs, Mewtwo will have already copied them.

"Boom!!"

Just as the Pokeballs were about to hit Lorelei's Pokemon, Lapras was preparing to forcefully take a breath to use Ice Beam, when a bright blue Energy Bullet appeared unbeknownst on the trajectory of those black Pokeballs and exploded!

The violent explosion directly shattered all the Pokeballs, Mewtwo's gaze turned to the spot where the Energy Bullet originated, only to see Ash slowly lowering his raised arm, fearlessly meeting Mewtwo's gaze.

'It's you again, haven't you realized the reality? Even the top trainers among humans are not my match; you should discern that my power is completely different from before, unless you bring out that level of Pokémon like before, otherwise your resistance now is just futile.'

Mewtwo's cold voice echoed in Ash's mind and everyone else's, seemingly wanting to further make everyone feel despair.

"How do you know my Lucario can no longer use that kind of power?" Ash did not refute Mewtwo, instead, he asked Mewtwo with slight curiosity.

The matter of his Lucario lacking the power from the battle with Mewtwo should only be known by Lorelei and the others, even Giovanni likely doesn't know whether Lucario's power has diminished, since he didn't see it.

And Mewtwo was unconscious at the time, how does she know Lucario lost the power from back then?

'After leaving the alliance, I sought you out.'

Ash: !!!

Mewtwo's words caused Ash's heart to tremble sharply; he finally understood why Mewtwo knew Gardevoir contained her psychic core energy, it turns out Mewtwo actually came looking for him back then!

It was at that time Mewtwo discovered the anomaly within Gardevoir, and it was then Mewtwo found Lucario had lost the power from battling him.

Because for the past week, he had continuously trained Pokemon, releasing them all outside for exercises, Mewtwo's perception could immediately sense Gardevoir and Lucario's condition.

Only Ash didn't understand why Gardevoir hadn't detected Mewtwo back then? Had she realized Mewtwo at that moment, perhaps the situation wouldn't have turned out as it is now.

'I asked you at the Viridian Gym back then...' Mewtwo combined her discovery of Ash's Gardevoir at the Viridian Gym with the question she asked then, concluding that Ash had deceived her.

Because of this, she completely lost faith in humanity, if even someone like Ash was this kind of person, was there any entity in the human world worth trusting?

Ash finally understood everything, even though the current situation is very severe, he still felt like laughing and crying; it turns out all this originated from him, even more absurd is that this was merely a misunderstanding!

He never deceived Mewtwo, it was Mewtwo herself who misunderstood; the power sensed at Viridian Gym, and Gardevoir's psychic core energy are entirely different matters.

But no matter what he says now, Mewtwo considers it as an excuse, even if he presents the MEGA Evolution Stone, Mewtwo won't acknowledge it, having attempted communication with Mewtwo repeatedly before, but all were refused.

Now the only way to make Mewtwo listen is by defeating her.

After hearing Mewtwo's words, Lorelei had a different feeling; she could sense Ash's weight in Mewtwo's heart, not only had she sought Ash immediately upon recovery, but Ash's betrayal led directly to her darkening; it was clear Ash held an important place in Mewtwo's heart.

She didn't know how Ash managed this, but she knew untangling the knot requires the person who tied it, Ash must do it, but that would require defeating Mewtwo first.

If Mewtwo is not defeated, then she won't stop to listen, but now the problem is… Defeating Mewtwo is like climbing a mountain.

Since Mewtwo's explanation, more than three minutes have passed, if they hold on a bit longer reinforcements will arrive, with the Elite Four gathered, perhaps they could attempt taking down Mewtwo.

Who knows if Mewtwo will allow them this time…

'You all have no means to contend anymore; if you obediently hand over the Pokemon, I could spare you, otherwise, today next year will be your death anniversary.' Mewtwo's threatening cold words echoed in everyone's mind, her gaze locked onto Ash, seemingly wanting to see Ash's choice.

Will he surrender his Pokemon to survive, or remain defiant?

"Don't even think about it, Mewtwo. I will never give up on my friends, and not only my friends, I won't give up on you. I will bring you back!" Ash's strong and resolute voice reverberated across the arena.

He patted Pikachu's head lightly: "Pikachu, I'm counting on you to protect everyone, leave the rest to me."

"Pika Pika!!" Pikachu nodded and gave Ash a thumbs-up.

Tailwind Charizard, headwind Pikachu, ultimate rookie!

In times of crisis that seemed unsolvable, Ash would always step up with his formidable power to resolve, even when faced with someone holding divine power, Pikachu still believed in Ash, for since meeting Ash, Ash had never disappointed him.

After entrusting Pikachu, Ash took off his backpack, releasing all his companions: Venusaur, Blastoise, Gardevoir, Lucario, Gengar, alongside Pikachu and Togepi, which comprised Ash's full lineup.

It was almost Ash's strongest lineup!

But against a foe like Mewtwo, this lineup could be likened disparagingly to a fight against weaklings.

Ash let them out not to battle Mewtwo, but to prevent his battle with Mewtwo from affecting his companions.

Then, under everyone's watchful eyes, Ash walked towards Mewtwo step by step: "Next, let me be your opponent."
