Chapter 110 - Chapter 109: Do You Really Think I Have a Good Temper?

"What is that?!" Zoro was the first to speak, pointing upward. "A ship?!"

Everyone turned their eyes to the sky — a massive, broken ship was falling from above.

Usopp's jaw dropped. "What the hell's going on? Why is a ship falling from the sky?!"

Luffy tilted his head. "Hey, is there any meat on it?"

Zoro crossed his arms. "I wonder if there's any sake."

Sanji groaned, "Is that really what you two are focusing on right now?!"

Sandy quickly used his ability to collect some scattered tools and old bones from the wreck that had crashed nearby.

Meanwhile, Robin knelt beside the remains, her eyes gleaming with curiosity as she took out her tools.

"Hey, hey!" Usopp said nervously. "Robin, what are you doing?"

Robin smiled softly. "Archaeology, of course."

"Archaeology?" everyone echoed in confusion. "What's that?"

Sandy shrugged. "It's incredible archaeology."

Luffy and Zoro nodded in unison. "Oh, I see."

Sanji sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "You idiots don't understand a thing!"

A few minutes later, Robin examined a skeleton and said calmly, "Judging from the bones, this person has been dead for over two hundred years. He was probably around thirty when he died."

"Sugoi!" Luffy gasped. "How can you tell that just from bones?"

Robin smiled faintly. "By studying the traces and evidence left behind."

Nami frowned, glancing up at the clouds. "But why would a ship from two hundred years ago fall from the sky right here?"

Sandy crossed his arms. "Most likely, this crew was shipwrecked on Skypiea long ago, and the remains were washed down by some strong currents."

Usopp shook his head. "You actually believe in Skypiea?"

Sandy gave him a deadpan look. "If Skypiea doesn't exist, then how do you explain a two-hundred-year-old ship falling from the sky?"

Instantly, Luffy's eyes sparkled. "Then let's go to Skypiea!"

Zoro chuckled. "Heh, and how do we get there?"

Luffy grinned. "We just go! Nami—"

Nami glared at him. "I already told you, I don't know how to get there! Ask again, and I'll fine you another hundred thousand Belly!"

Sandy stepped in before the captain lost more money.

"Nami, why don't we head to a nearby island first and ask around? If the Log Pose is pointing upward, it means Skypiea exists. We just need to find out how to reach it."

Everyone nodded in agreement, and so, the Going Merry set course for Jaya Island.

The Wrecking King Appears

"Salvage well, salvage well..."

A rhythmic chant echoed across the sea. Everyone turned toward the sound — and before long, a huge salvage ship appeared on the horizon.

The crew aboard was loud and rowdy, divided into two sides, and from the middle stepped a tall, burly man with ape-like features.

He raised a megaphone and shouted, "All the sunken ships in this area belong to the Ape Pirate Crew — which means they belong to me, the Wrecking King Masira! Woo-chee-chee-chee!"

The Straw Hats exchanged looks of disbelief.

Masira pointed at the Merry. "Hey, you there! What are you doing in my territory?"

"Your territory?" Nami repeated, frowning.

"That's right!" Masira said proudly. "All the sunken ships in this sea area belong to me! You didn't touch anything, did you?"

Sandy's expression darkened. "What if we did? You say it's yours, so it's yours? If I take a piss in the ocean, is that yours too?"

The Ape Pirates instantly went silent — and then glared at Sandy with hostility.

Sensing the tension, Usopp quickly tugged at Sandy's arm.

"Hey, hey, before we know what they're capable of, maybe don't provoke them?"

Sandy tilted his head, his tone sharp. "And you're fine with the way that guy talks? We're pirates. If he keeps comparing himself to me, I'll cut him down."

Usopp and Chopper both panicked, holding him back. "D-don't be so scary!"

At that moment, Luffy stepped forward with a grin. "I'm the Captain of this ship, Monkey D. Luffy! Are you an ape?"

Masira froze for a second — then grinned, pulling his mouth wide with one hand before letting out his signature laugh.

"Woo-chee-chee! You think I look like an ape? I also think I have a lot of masculine charm, woo-chee-chee!"

Sanji facepalmed. "What's wrong with this guy...?"

Masira puffed up his chest. "I am Captain Masira of the Ape Pirate Crew!"

The moment his eyes caught sight of the bones and debris on the Merry, his expression twisted.

"I'm asking you — did you salvage that stuff from the sea?"

Luffy replied with a laugh, "Nope! It fell from the sky!"

Masira's face turned red. "You dare to steal from me?! I said everything here belongs to me!"

He leapt high into the air, heading straight for the Merry to snatch the bones back.

Sandy narrowed his eyes. He knew this idiot would later be useful for reaching Skypiea, but right now, his arrogance was unbearable.

He muttered coldly, "Usopp, let go of me."

"Huh? Why?" Usopp blinked.

"Let go," Sandy said calmly, "because something big is about to come up from under the sea."

The others stared at him in confusion. "Something big?"

The moment Usopp released his grip, Sandy jumped — faster than lightning — and caught Masira by the neck mid-air.

His eyes were cold. "If you dare to damage this ship, I'll twist your neck."

The Ape Pirates instantly panicked and raised their guns.

"Damn it! Let go of our Captain!"

"Captain, use your strength! There's no way that guy can beat you!"

"Let him go or we'll shoot!"

Sandy's gaze swept over them — sharp and suffocating.

He didn't even need to release Conqueror's Haki; his sheer killing intent was enough to make several pirates tremble and break into cold sweat.

"I'm just telling your Captain to quiet down," Sandy said darkly. "If you're not afraid of dying, go ahead and shoot. Do you really think I have a good temper?"

The air froze. The Ape Pirates dared not move.

Then Sandy's attention shifted back to the sea, his tone suddenly serious.

"Something big is surfacing."

Everyone followed his gaze. The sea ahead began to rumble violently, waves churning upward.

Masira struggled to speak as Sandy released his grip slightly. "W-woo... woo... what's... happening?"

Sandy warned him coldly, "I'll let you go. But keep your mouth shut. Try anything stupid, and you'll regret it."

And then—

The ocean itself rose, swelling into an enormous column of water as something massive began to emerge from beneath the waves...
