Chapter 106 - Chapter 105: Zoro Also Likes to Pretend

In the forest, Zoro noticed the trees around him were full of fruit.

He set down the basket on his back, slowly drew his three swords, and struck a pose he thought looked even cooler than Sandy's. Then he mumbled to himself,

"One sword splits mountains, one sword severs the sea, one sword cleaves the sky..."

Clang—

The sound of Zoro drawing his swords echoed through the forest, startling a flock of birds into flight.

Feeling the atmosphere around him, Zoro found himself enjoying it more and more. Now he finally understood why Sandy always liked to act so damn dramatic back then!

Cough cough. Zoro quickly pulled himself together and continued muttering,

"This is the Three-Sword Style—Three-Sword Style Secret Technique... Tornado!!"

Zoro made his move. Three streams of sword energy spun into a small whirlwind that slashed upward toward the tree above him.

Fruits began to fall one by one, and Zoro hurriedly held up his basket to catch them.

Just when he felt satisfied with his success, the entire tree suddenly rained fruit down like a storm—burying him completely.

Elsewhere, Usopp was having his own "adventure" in the forest.

He always said he wanted to become a brave warrior of the sea—but in reality, his courage was smaller than a mouse's, and his bragging was bigger than anyone else's!

As he walked deeper into the gloomy forest, a single drop of dew landed on him. Usopp instantly dove to the ground and played dead.

Luffy, meanwhile, was up a tree, communicating with monkeys.

Neither side understood a word the other said, but somehow, through exaggerated expressions and gestures, they got along perfectly.

As for Sanji, he trailed behind Nami the entire time, trying to be attentive and gentlemanly—completely oblivious to the fact that Nami had zero romantic interest in him.

At the same time, Sandy, Chopper, and Robin were also making their way into the forest.

Back on Drum Island, Chopper had never seen a forest before—his homeland was frozen year-round. And in Alabasta, it had been nothing but endless desert.

Now, surrounded by so much lush greenery, his eyes sparkled in wonder.

"Hey, Sandy! Is this a forest? It's so beautiful!" Chopper asked, his voice full of excitement.

Robin tilted her head. "Haven't you ever seen one before?"

Chopper shook his head. "Nope!"

Sandy chuckled. "Well, Chopper, how does it feel? If you'd stayed on Drum Island, you'd never have known how amazing the world really is."

"Yeah!" Chopper said, bouncing in excitement. "Thanks for inviting me to sail with Luffy back then! Wow—what's that? A mushroom?"

Sandy quickly pulled him back. "Those are rainbow mushrooms. I heard they're extremely poisonous. Let's not pick them."

Hearing the word poisonous, Chopper froze. "That's so scary! This world is terrifying!"

Robin giggled softly behind her hand. "Hehehe... Chopper, you're so cute."

Startled, Chopper blushed and turned away shyly. "B-bastard! Even if you say that, I won't be happy about it!"

Sandy rolled his eyes and continued leading them deeper into the forest.

Before long, the three arrived at a small lake. The water shimmered blue, the lakeside grass glowed green under the sun, and butterflies danced in the breeze.

Robin lay down on the grass, pulled out a book, and began to read.

Sandy sighed. "Seriously, Robin? With such a beautiful view, you're gonna read a book?"

Robin looked up. "With such a beautiful view, isn't it a pity not to read?"

Sandy raised his head dramatically, gazing at the sky at a forty-five-degree angle.

"Misty mountains, smoky light, warm sun over blue fields where butterflies dance... With scenery like this, we should sit down, talk about life, and discuss what happiness really means."

Robin, well-versed in history but unfamiliar with poetry like that, found his words oddly fitting for the moment.

Talk about life? Discuss happiness?

She remembered that quiet night under the stars and moonlight—and blushed, quickly turning her head away.

Meanwhile, Chopper just blinked in confusion. "Uh, Sandy... what's smoky light? What's a blue field? And—"

The mood shattered instantly.

Sandy's smile stiffened, his face darkening. "Don't ask so many questions, kid. Did you collect the water yet?"

"Oh!" Chopper perked up. "Yeah, it's all collected. Are we heading back?"

Sandy's expression twitched. Go back? Now? How the hell am I supposed to flirt— cough —I mean, talk with Robin if we go back?!

Putting on his best wolfish grin, Sandy said, "Chopper, why don't you go lie down over there and relax? Feel the beauty of nature."

"Really?" Chopper immediately did as told, laying down on the grass and sighing blissfully. "Kimoji~ It feels so nice! Sandy, you should lie down too!"

Sandy rolled his eyes. "Can you please stop talking for a minute?"

As he admired the scenery, his gaze inevitably drifted toward Robin. Compared to Nami, Robin's figure had an entirely different kind of allure.

Robin noticed his stare and said awkwardly, "You... why are you looking at me like that?"

Sandy grinned shamelessly. "Don't be so stingy. You've got such a great figure—it's okay if people look, right?"

Chopper, ever the innocent bystander, piped up, "Robin's figure is good? I don't think so!"

Sandy facepalmed. "Can you not talk for just five seconds?"

"Why?" Chopper asked innocently.

Sandy groaned. "I don't know!"

Robin chuckled and then asked, "Sandy, is it true that you once hit a Celestial Dragon?"

Sandy nodded dramatically. "Yeah. It was an autumn evening—the weather was perfect, the sun was shining, and a gentle breeze brushed by like a mother's embrace. Truly nostalgic..."

"???" Robin and Chopper looked completely lost.

Realizing their confusion, Sandy coughed and said, "Anyway, yeah—I beat up a Celestial Dragon. Got a bounty of three hundred million Berries for it."

Chopper's eyes widened. "Whoa! If I beat up a Celestial Dragon, would my bounty—"

Sandy quickly cut him off. "You trying to get yourself killed? Drop that idea now. If a Marine Admiral comes after you, you're done for."

"Are Marine Admirals really that strong?" Chopper asked nervously.

Robin's face darkened slightly. "They're the Marines' highest fighting power."

Chopper gasped. "The highest fighting power? Then... doesn't that mean you're in danger, Sandy?"

Seeing the concern in Robin's eyes, Sandy stood up and brushed himself off. "Enough about that. Let's head back to the beach and get dinner ready."

Robin was still lost in thought, so Sandy reached out, pulled her up, and smiled.

"Come on, Robin. Don't look so scared. At worst, we die. If you're not afraid of death, then what's there to fear from a Marine Admiral?

Give me a little more time—soon, there won't be a single person in this world who can touch me."

Chopper's eyes sparkled. "Sugoi! Sandy, are you really that strong?"

Sandy put an arm around Robin's waist and grinned. "You ask too many questions, kid. Let's go."
