Chapter 105 - Chapter 104: This Is Definitely Not Nami

The next day, Sandy was sound asleep on the deck, Zoro was training on the main mast, while Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper were fishing.

Suddenly, Chopper's fishing rod twitched, and he reeled in a fish weighing over two pounds.

"I caught a fish!" Chopper proudly showed Luffy.

"You're amazing, Chopper," Luffy praised.

Just as he finished, Usopp's rod jerked. Feeling the pull, Usopp exclaimed, "I caught a big one!"

"Really?" Chopper and Luffy said in surprise.

Usopp strained with all his strength, only to reel in a fish no bigger than his thumb.

Luffy said disdainfully, "This is a big one? It's not even enough to get stuck in my teeth."

"Less nonsense," Usopp retorted, unconvinced. "You haven't even caught a single fish yet!"

"Watch me, I can definitely catch one!" Luffy replied confidently.

At this moment, Sanji emerged from the kitchen. "Miss Nami, I made you a glass of juice that helps with beauty and makes your skin smoother."

Beauty? Smooth skin?

Nami couldn't help but glance toward Sandy, who was still asleep, her face flushing.

Upon hearing Sanji's words, Luffy and the others shouted simultaneously, "We want some too!"

Sanji said disdainfully, "What do you guys need smooth skin for?"

Just then, Luffy's rod jerked. He caught a giant snail… and it hit Sandy squarely on the head!

Sandy, startled awake, groggily said, "Nami, did you hit me again?"

Nami's face darkened.

The center of the giant snail cracked open, revealing a formally dressed salesman inside.

Sandy asked in confusion, "Who are you? Did you attack me just now?"

The man stood straight. "Excuse me, allow me to introduce myself. I am Rice, a salesman. I was shipwrecked in a storm at sea. Thank you for saving me!"

"Saved you?" Sandy asked in confusion.

Usopp explained, "Luffy fished him up!"

As expected of a salesman, Rice quickly introduced his products.

Nami stepped forward. "Excuse me, do you sell paper?"

"Paper?" Rice asked.

"Yes, large and tough paper that won't be blown away even by sea wind," Nami clarified.

Rice's eyes lit up. "Leave it to me!"

He pulled out a large stack. "This is the highest quality Millennium Paper. It won't be eaten by insects or fade in the sun for a thousand years! Perfect for family trees or treasure maps!"

Luffy asked curiously, "Can it be used to make paper airplanes?"

Rice broke into a sweat. "You can, but that would be a waste!"

Nami examined the stack. "How much?"

Luffy looked confused. "Are you buying it?"

"Of course," Nami replied. Her dream since childhood had been to draw maps of every place she visited. Good quality paper was essential.

Rice, recognizing a big spender, said, "This is very rare. Even if you order now, it would take 5–10 years to get it."

Nami smiled. "Can you sell those to me first? I'll pay any price!"

Luffy gasped, "Nani?!"

Usopp held his head in disbelief. "Nami, who doesn't even eat to count Belly, actually…!!"

Zoro was sweating. "Nami, who loves money like her life… actually said she'll pay any price!!"

Sanji muttered, "It's not that exaggerated, is it?"

Sanji then looked at Sandy, who had grabbed a random pot and was hitting his own head. "What are you doing now?"

Sandy exclaimed, "I must be dreaming… this is definitely not Nami!"

Rice added, "A set of one thousand sheets of Millennium Paper has a market price of sixty million Belly."

As Nami and Rice began bargaining, Sanji tied up Sandy. "We'll buy it!"

Luffy asked, "Do you have money?"

"No!" Sanji grabbed Sandy. "With a bounty of three hundred million Belly, we can sell him and have enough!"

Sandy's face darkened. Today, he was truly outdone.

However, Rice immediately recognized the Straw Hat Crew, abandoned his goods, and quickly rode his snail away.

Nami picked up the dropped Millennium Paper. "Finally, I can do my own thing!"

She turned and warned, "No one is allowed to disturb me. Anyone who does will be fined one hundred thousand Belly!"

From that moment, everyone went about their own business.

A day later, the Merry Go docked on a deserted island. Everyone rushed ashore while Sandy slept in his room, still exhausted from the past two nights.

Nami assigned tasks via lottery: who would fetch water, who would hunt, who would collect fruit.

Zoro grumbled, "Why do I have to listen to you?"

Nami glared at Luffy playing in the sand. "Do you think the captain of this ship would do such a thing?"

Zoro, speechless, took his sword and went to collect fruit while Nami began mapping the island. Chopper drew the lot to stay on the ship as lookout.

Alone, Chopper climbed the crow's nest, pointing forward. "From today onward, I am Captain Chopper!"

Excited, he waved. "Luffy, don't eat other people's food! Usopp, work seriously! Sanji, make me something delicious! Sandy, you have to give me your noodles!"

Sandy emerged from his room, laughing. "Captain Chopper, what did you just say? I didn't hear clearly!"

"Pfft… Wow…" Chopper was startled and fell from the crow's nest.

Sandy caught him with one hand. Chopper quickly asked, "Why are you still on the ship?"

"I just woke up," Sandy laughed. "Hmm? Robin, why aren't you going to the island with them?"

Robin glanced at him and quickly looked away. "I like to read quietly."

Coughing softly, Robin was also tired from the past two nights. Sandy knew she stayed up late, but he naturally wouldn't expose it.

Looking at Chopper, Sandy said, "Our ship is running out of fresh water. Shall the three of us go collect some?"

Chopper asked, "Don't we need someone on the ship?"

Sandy stroked his head and smiled. "Did you forget? I can use Observation Haki. I can still sense anyone coming within this range."

"Observation Haki?" Robin muttered to herself. "That's really convenient."

Sandy nodded. "Robin, you should stop reading. Don't be a shut-in. Come for a walk with us."

"What's a shut-in?" Robin asked. "Wait, I still want to read…"

Sandy impatiently pulled her up. "Change your lifestyle and be optimistic. Life is still interesting! If there are mushrooms here, tonight's noodles will be even tastier."

Chopper gasped, "Really? I love mushrooms!"

Sandy laughed, "Aren't you like Usopp, who loves meat buns?"

"Wait," Robin said, "Let go quickly! I'll go to the island with you…"
