I can hear cars revving as they drive by the isolated road, I can hear birds chirping from the woods, I can hear rustling of dry bush and the crunching of grass and soil.
I can hear all that but my mate.
Jaehyun is the first person I'm supposed to hear every minute, he's the one I am supposed to be in touch with, his mark is on my neck.
"Why-" I gasp.
The bond is silent, too silent to be normal, and I close my eyes tightly, staying as still as possible to feel anything…just anything but it's completely silent.
Even my omega has gone silent with shock and fear, we can't feel our mate, and it can only mean something terrifying, the one thing I don't want to ever admit or think.
"Chan" I call with a cracked voice, unable to think clearly with the reality looming above me.
