The chaos didn't end.
It mutated.
The moment Angelo said "we're leaving," three different arguments sparked at once.
"No, because WHY is Percy riding in that car?" Jayjay snapped. Percy folded his arms. "Because I was told to." "Told by WHO?" Aries muttered, "Here we go again."
Hunter winced. "Guys—volume. My ribs remember everything."
Lia ignored everyone and pointed at Hunter.
"Seatbelt. No sudden movements. If you even think about fainting—"
"I won't," Hunter said quickly.
"You thought you wouldn't crash either."
That shut him up.
Behind them, the rest of the current Section E had gathered—Keifer, Yuri, Drew, Kit, Mayo, Eren, Rory, Edrix, Freya, Ella, Mica, Rakki, Cin, Felix, Calix, David, Josh, Eman, Percy (still arguing), all watching like they'd accidentally wandered into a live reality show.
Keifer whispered, "Do they always fight like this?"
Felix answered, "I think this is them being calm."
Meanwhile
"Why does Angelo get the front seat?" Percy complained. Jayjay scoffed. "Because he's Angelo." "That's not a reason." "That's the only reason."
Angelo didn't even look back. "Argue quieter."
Everyone did.
Lia blinked. "…Why did that work?"
Kairav hid a smile.
Cindy leaned toward Jessica. "I swear, if they weren't geniuses, they'd be terrifying."
Jessica nodded. "They're terrifying because they're geniuses."
Hunter was finally guided into the car, half the group fussing over him like he was made of glass.
"I can walk," he protested. "No," Lia, Jayjay, Angelo, and Kairav said in unison.
He sighed. "I missed this."
The convoy started moving.
Five seconds later
"WHY is Jayjay driving?" Aries shouted from the back. Jayjay grinned in the mirror.
"Because Lia's tired." Lia's eye twitched. "I said I was fine." "You also said that before sprinting through an airport once."
"That was different."
Jayjay hit the accelerator just enough to make everyone grab something.
"JAYJAY"
"Relax, I'm driving legally."
"YOU'RE SMILING THAT'S WORSE."
Hunter laughed softly, head resting back. "Yeah. I'm definitely home."
By the time they reached the house, the arguments had looped back around into laughter, insults turned affectionate, rivalries flaring and cooling in seconds.
No reporters. No fans. Just noise, history, and people who cared too much.
As they piled out, Angelo looked at the group—doctors, singers, prodigies, disasters.
"This," he said calmly, "is why none of you can ever be normal."
Jayjay smirked. "Good thing we're brilliant."
Lia glanced at Hunter, alive and breathing, surrounded by chaos.
For the first time since the call—
She smiled for real.
And somewhere in the middle of the shouting, the arguing, and the rivalry
Life went on.
