Crossing through space-time, then crossing again—such an operation was only possible for a Multiverse-level mutant like Franklin Richards.
Ignoring the consequences of time, wasn't he afraid of being sanctioned by higher-level temporal forces?
He was using Multiverse-level Time power, but even that could be restrained by supreme temporal entities.
Franklin knew this, of course, but he figured it saved time and effort. He could bear the karma… mostly.
To lighten the load, the cunning Franklin cleverly grafted at least half of the karmic consequences onto others.
In the time tunnel, Franklin surged forward.
Countless moments and images flashed before his eyes like projections on a giant cosmic screen.
One day, one month, one year, two years—everywhere Leo appeared, his figure flickered and blurred.
It was as if some invisible hand of a higher existence had isolated him, tampering with his timeline.
"Hmph, never mind. I'll just go straight back to your birth timeline and crush you like an ant."
Seeing Leo's blurry figures, Franklin had no intention of meeting him yet. The recent past held no advantage; Leo was far too formidable.
"Full speed ahead!!"
Franklin surged with energy, preparing to return decades into the past.
But the next second, he froze.
He slammed into a temporal barrier. Leo's timeline had branched.
The timeline Franklin was pursuing abruptly ended—impossible to progress further.
Through the barrier, Franklin was stunned. He could see flashes of figures but could not pass through.
The timeline simply did not exist for him.
"What the hell?" Franklin suppressed the shock rising in his chest.
There was no retreat; he couldn't simply slink away.
"Never mind, I'll retreat a little… maybe another timeline will work."
He had to settle for the longest visible timeline to kill Leo.
Franklin couldn't trace further back because Leo did not belong to this Universe.
He had crossed from another Great Universe—a feat Franklin could not replicate. Killing Leo during his mortal period was impossible.
In 2008, Leo had just rescued Tony Stark. At the press conference afterward, Tony was happily bragging when suddenly…
The sky darkened. Clouds swirled unnaturally, crackling with lightning.
People panicked. This wasn't a hurricane—no storm had been forecast. The air grew heavy, oppressive, terrifying.
Small animals fled in chaos; ants, cats, dogs, birds—all scrambled as if sensing the danger.
Then, a flash of light. A figure appeared in the sky. The only light in the world.
"Leo! Looks like you're really weak!"
"Hahaha! Today is your death day! Worth crossing space-time and risking great karma!"
Franklin's voice thundered across New York, shocking everyone.
Who was Leo? Why was a god-like figure crossing space-time to kill him?
Only a few, like Tony Stark, knew Leo's true identity. They turned, eyes fixed on Leo, who appeared calm beside them.
"What the hell did this guy do?"
Tony whispered, bewildered.
Then Leo's eyes sharpened, and his demeanor shifted.
He vanished.
Under the dim sky, what was once a single shining star now had two moons.
"Oh my god, another person appeared! Is that Leo?"
"Is this a science fiction world?"
Citizens panicked, discussing frantically. Their worldview was collapsing.
"Franklin, you truly are a waste! You found a scapegoat clone?"
Leo laughed loudly, mocking Franklin.
"Hmph, as long as I kill you, what do you care!"
Franklin sneered. Only the victor has the right to mock others.
"Look at you now, how can you fight me?"
Franklin laughed heartily at the apparently weaker Leo.
"Hmph, you call the pot black, aren't you also possessing someone else's body?"
"Die! Phoenix Judgment!"
Leo's eyes turned icy. He gave Franklin no chance to speak further.
The Phoenix Force, spanning Universes, descended. The sky erupted in golden-red fire.
A majestic Phoenix, covering the heavens, glared down at Franklin.
The scorching Phoenix Force surged like a breached dam, engulfing him instantly.
"Ah!! Phoenix Force!!"
"You actually possess the Phoenix Force!!"
"Why… why?! I, Franklin, refuse to accept this!!"
No matter how powerful Franklin was—controlling Time, Space, Reality, and Karma, creating pocket Universes at will—he was powerless against the Phoenix Force.
The Phoenix Force is the embodiment of life and emotion across the omnipotent Universe, the spiritual source of all existence.
Every consciousness is under its control.
Even Franklin, with his Multiverse-spanning mind, could not contend.
The Phoenix Force ignored causality, erased timelines, altered history, and crossed space-time effortlessly—like taking a sip of water.
