The Ancient One continued to shake her head. Leo still hadn't gotten to the heart of the matter.
Everything stemmed from him, yet he looked as if he didn't understand a thing.
Her eyes flickered with faint frustration, silently urging him to get to the point.
"Don't worry," Leo said calmly. "Earth is my home. Even though I wasn't born in this universe, it's still Earth, after all."
This time, Leo didn't ignore her expression. He spoke sincerely, making his intentions clear.
Seriously, he thought, am I insane? Why would I ever destroy Earth?
Go to other planets to conquer them? Enslave a bunch of aliens just to do chores? That sounded exhausting.
After hearing his words, the Ancient One's heart finally relaxed a little.
Still, she couldn't help but feel helpless. His equipment was simply too luxurious.
Dozens of Infinity Stones combined—what kind of absurd power was that?
It was like the difference between a pay-to-win player and a regular player.
No matter how much she attacked, she couldn't even scratch him!
Even though she had failed to defeat him, Leo had still shown her some respect.
"I'm sorry," the Ancient One said sincerely. "I was reckless today."
"Haha, no harm done," Leo replied with a light grin. "I actually gained a lot from this fight."
He wasn't lying—he had gotten a good read on just how strong a top-tier powerhouse really was.
"Alright then, if there's nothing else, I'll take my leave. You're welcome to visit Kamar-Taj anytime."
The Ancient One put her hands together, bowed slightly, and prepared to depart.
"Wait."
Leo's voice stopped her mid-step.
She froze for a moment, her expression shifting slightly.
Of course—she knew what was coming. He was going to ask about the Time Stone.
Sure enough, Leo spoke.
"Ancient One, you can keep the Time Stone for now. I'll come for it in a few years."
The Ancient One sighed softly.
"I suppose you need the Infinity Stones from this universe to activate the ones you hold from others, right?"
Her guess was spot-on, and Leo didn't bother to hide it. He simply nodded.
"Exactly. And let's be honest—don't you think it's safer with me than with anyone else? As for Thanos? He's just a delivery boy."
Leo was right. He was simply waiting for Thanos to deliver the Soul Stone and the Mind Stone straight to him.
The Ancient One was speechless. She couldn't even argue.
In truth, it was safer with him. His power was immeasurable, and his future limitless.
"But… but…"
She tried to protest, but Leo cut her off.
"No buts."
He smiled faintly. "About that next Sorcerer Supreme you mentioned—I can help you find someone better."
His words derailed her thoughts completely.
"Alright," she said softly. "We'll discuss it when the time comes."
Then, without another word, the Ancient One left.
Leo watched her go, eyes following her silhouette until it disappeared from sight.
No one was more suited to be Sorcerer Supreme than her, but she already had a death wish.
Once someone chose to die, not even ten oxen could pull them back.
It was a pity.
The Ancient One had lived too long in darkness while keeping her heart in the light.
She feared the corruption of the Dark Dimension—feared becoming a pawn of Dormammu.
The only thing Leo could do now was convince her to retire peacefully instead of dying for it, and find someone else to inherit her role.
As for Stephen Strange? Forget it.
Leo barely knew him. And honestly, judging from the movie, the guy had way too many opinions.
Maybe it was better to let him live his flashy surgeon life—luxury cars, a villa, and beautiful women. That suited him just fine.
But someone still had to take the Sorcerer Supreme's mantle—and it had to be his person.
Kamar-Taj belonged to him now.
S.H.I.E.L.D. belonged to him.
Even the U.S. Congress was under his influence.
The Governor of New York was one of his hidden cards.
If that man stayed obedient, Leo would help him rise to the top. If not—well, a clone could easily replace him.
Sitting on the ground, Leo thought carefully about potential candidates.
Three names came to mind—Wanda, Charles, and Tony.
Each of them was an excellent choice.
Wanda, with her Chaos Magic, already wielded the strongest magical energy.
If she learned Kamar-Taj's sorcery, she'd be unstoppable.
Charles was a psychic genius, his mental power vastly superior to any version of Doctor Strange. He was born for magic.
And Tony—well, his intelligence was unmatched. There was already a Sorcerer Supreme Tony in another universe, after all.
But his attitude needed some work. The man was smart, sure, but disobedient as hell.
That had to change.
Still, even if Tony wasn't suitable to be Sorcerer Supreme, Leo thought it wouldn't hurt for him to at least learn magic.
Magic-infused Iron Man armor?
"Destroyer Armor Mark I?"
Now that was something worth researching.
After a long while, Leo still hadn't made a final decision—but there was no rush. He had time.
Brushing the sand from his clothes, Leo suddenly remembered something far more urgent.
He needed to reinforce the space around Earth.
Constantly tearing open space portals was far too dangerous if left unchecked.
This universe—this planet—was his base of operations.
Taking out the Super Space Stone, Leo channeled his energy into it.
Instantly, the Space Stone radiated a blinding divine light, and the invisible laws of space spread outward, enveloping the entire Earth.
The surge of energy startled many across the planet.
However, Leo's own energy had limits. The reinforcement only extended across Earth—not the entire universe.
Still, even that was enough. Earth's spatial stability had now increased severalfold.
