The voice was soft and magnetic, like a casual chat between old friends.
Though the distance was great, it sounded as if the speaker was whispering right into everyone's ears.
The newcomer was, of course, Leo.
Red Queen had already informed him that things were getting quite lively here — everyone who should and shouldn't be present had shown up.
"Iron Man?? Oh my God! Iron Man!"
"Hahaha, the superhero Iron Man is here!"
"Wait, that's not Tony Stark — his voice is younger!"
"Yeah, that's not him. Maybe Iron Man has his own team now?"
"There are too many criminals these days. It's normal if Tony can't handle it all alone!"
"Hahaha, maybe we could join too?"
When everyone saw the gold and red Iron Man Armor, their excitement exploded.
Iron Man, their hero, their symbol of protection — had arrived!
But when they realized it wasn't Tony Stark, wild curiosity spread through the crowd. Could this mean Iron Man had new allies?
Then a sharp-eyed man pointed and shouted, "F*ck!! That's Magneto!"
"God, it really is him — the legendary villain Magneto!"
"Oh no! This is bad! Magneto controls metal! Iron Man's in danger!"
"Iron Man, run! Run!"
"Yeah! He can control metal — you can't win against him!"
The crowd panicked. Even those who had never seen Magneto in person recognized that iconic helmet.
Even after decades of silence, his name alone carried a terrifying weight.
Everyone knew — if Magneto raised a hand, the Iron Man Armor would crumble like paper.
Even Leo didn't expect Tony's hot temper to earn such a strong fanbase.
America really does love its lone heroes, he thought.
Seems there'd be plenty of opportunities in the future.
He also knew the Iron Man Armor was useless against Magneto — and he wasn't about to let such fine equipment get destroyed.
"Red Queen, recall the Iron Man Armor," Leo ordered.
"Yes, my Lord."
The Red Queen instantly took control and made the suit fly back.
"Oh my God, he's Asian! And so handsome!"
"Are you blind? That's Tony Stark's older cousin from the Dragon Country!"
"F*ck off! Tony's way older than him!"
"If you had even a kindergarten diploma, you'd know how to read the news!"
"Hahaha, idiots everywhere!"
The crowd stared.
This was the mysterious man from the news — rumored to be Tony Stark's cousin.
It made sense. If he wasn't Tony's cousin, how could he have an Iron Man Armor of his own?
Soon, they started to believe it completely.
Some even whispered excitedly, "That's him! The guy who can use Dragon Country's immortal arts!"
Over the years, they'd been obsessed with web novels from the Dragon Country — full of cultivation, powers, and immortals.
So who's to say it wasn't real?
"Leo… You truly can't be underestimated," Magneto said slowly.
"Your abilities are terrifyingly vast."
His heart sank.
This man was too unpredictable — every time they met, Leo displayed a new ability.
A thought flickered in Magneto's mind.
If someone like him could lead the Mutants… no one could ever oppress us again.
He was old now — over eighty — though he still looked like he was in his fifties.
He and Charles had fought for so long, carried the burden of their kind for half a century.
They were exhausted — scarred inside and out.
Leo smiled faintly.
"I have plenty more tricks you haven't seen. You'll find out soon enough."
He wasn't here to fight Magneto — they simply stood on different sides of the same coin.
"Is that so? Then I'll look forward to it," Magneto replied calmly.
A terrifying magnetic force began to gather in his palm.
As the leader of the Brotherhood, he couldn't just stand by while his men were beaten.
"Magneto, this isn't the place," Leo said flatly.
"You don't want a war between humans and Mutants, do you?"
Magneto's eyes gleamed.
"Then let's fight at Traine Park — in the suburbs."
"Alright. As you wish."
Leo smiled. A gift delivered right to my doorstep.
He turned to No.18 and said, "Lali, take Jean Grey straight to the suburbs. Don't go home yet. I'll be there soon."
"Be careful," she said worriedly.
"Don't worry." Leo's grin was full of confidence.
Quicksilver wanted to speak to Wanda, but now wasn't the time. There would be plenty of time later.
Dragging Magneto, he moved at high speed toward Traine Park.
Leo followed, teleporting effortlessly behind.
Everyone on Fifth Avenue felt both relief and regret — relief that the fight had moved away, and regret that they'd miss such a spectacular battle.
In the suburban park, the real fight began.
Magneto's eyes flashed as he waved his hand.
Several steel spears rose into the sky and shot toward Leo like arrows.
Leo didn't panic. He spun gracefully, dodging them with ease.
Then he grabbed one midair — the steel spear instantly froze into ice, and he hurled it back toward Magneto.
He couldn't control metal — but he could freeze it. And once frozen, it was his to command.
The ice spear stopped dead three meters from Magneto.
Bang!
The steel, already brittle from freezing, shattered under Magneto's magnetic power, exploding into countless shards.
"You've got some skills, old man," Leo said with a smirk.
Then his eyes sharpened. He raised his right hand and clenched the air.
A bright, crystalline light formed — tinged red by the setting sun.
"Go!"
With a shout, countless ice cones burst forth, raining down on Magneto.
In seconds, he was surrounded — nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.
But Magneto only sneered.
He raised a hand, and underground pipes and wires twisted upward, forming a massive steel wall.
Thump thump thump!
The ice spikes hammered against the barrier, leaving only dents.
They couldn't pierce it.
"Hmph, as expected of the Brotherhood's leader," Leo muttered coldly.
"To have lasted this long, you've definitely earned that title."
