Pov: Vik
Oblivious to everything happening, Vik teleported back to his manor. He was in a hurry and didn't use public transport. He still held Pushpa in his arms, who was sleeping peacefully, but the cursed doll in his other hand looked different. Its usual smile was gone, replaced by a sad expression. Vik didn't notice this.
Sitting in a chair, Vik waited for his disciples to arrive. Once they were together, they planned to disrupt Lin Chen's party. Vik thought of various ways to make that party memorable for Lin Chen. While he was thinking, the system's voice echoed in his mind.
System: "Host, I'm surprised by your acting. I believe there were better ways to handle the situation and avoid the police. You didn't need to act like a lovesick madman."
Vik: "You're right, System. But I've always enjoyed acting. I think I'm pretty good at it. Those people nearly cried watching me."
System: "But your performance felt almost real. Have you really had your heart broken? I'm just asking casually."
At that, Vik fell silent. He stared at the table in front of him. Then he said, "System, I don't want to discuss this. I've forgotten her. It's better if the world forgets her too. Remembering her only brings pain. I can't talk about her because I've moved on, and to me, she no longer exists." Vik spoke with a pained expression.
System: "I'm sorry, Host. I didn't mean to make you recall your past. Please forgive me and don't take it to heart."
Vik started laughing. With a comical tone, he said, "See, System? I even tricked you. There's no love story in my life. No such thing exists, as far as I remember."
System: "Host, sometimes you're such a lunatic. You pranked me while I was trying to find ways to help someone feeling down. Your acting seemed so real. I honestly thought you had a tragic love story."
Vik: "Alright, System, I know you're upset. But let's change the topic. Which of these clothes do you think will look good on me?" I said this to the system after laying out some clothes on the table that Roman had picked for me. The system helped me choose some outfits, and I tried different combinations. I finally decided to wear a white tuxedo with white pants. The formal suit looked good on me. I checked the time and saw only half an hour was left until 6 PM. As I began to consider calling Roman and Lu Xiaoran, they appeared, teleporting in front of the manor gate.
They greeted me with a bow, and then I urged them to hurry and put on their party clothes so we could arrive on time. They both began to prepare and eventually chose their outfits. Roman opted for an all-black tuxedo, which made him look imposing. With his black attire and sunglasses, he resembled a hitman. Lu Xiaoran decided to wear a jade green tuxedo paired with black pants.
At that moment, we all looked like we were heading to a genuine party or ball. However, we knew we were actually going to spoil Lin Chen's event. As I thought about my plans for him, I smiled. My smile held many malicious intentions.
Now fully prepared, I stepped outside with my disciples. Just as we were leaving, Pushpa jumped onto my shoulder, still chewing on that cursed doll. She wouldn't let me leave alone. I tried several times to get her to stay behind, but she insisted on coming with us. Reluctantly, I decided to take her, casting an invisible spell on her in case the party didn't allow pets. Now she rested on my shoulder, the doll in her mouth.
I turned toward the manor's exit and said, "Disciples, get ready. We're heading to a party, and I need all of you to make it a memorable event for our friend Lin Chen." Saying this, I locked the manor gate for security and began to walk outside. Like any usual situation, we took a bus from the bus stand. Once inside, I noticed many people staring at us. Some girls even tried to approach Lu Xiaoran but he politely declined. Roman also received some attention, but nobody approached me. I thought I was too handsome for anyone to initiate a conversation.
System: "Actually, Host, your style makes you less approachable. Think about it. You're dressed in all white, along with your white hair and golden eyes. You look a bit creepy."
After ten minutes, we arrived at our destination. According to my information, the party was held at the LA REU Hotel, located in the entertainment district. After getting off the bus, we walked and finally reached the hotel. As expected, it was fully booked and decorated for the occasion. I even saw some villagers entering in groups. With that, I told my disciples to go inside. Lu Xiaoran began walking toward the entrance, but I stopped him. When he asked why, I explained, "Disciples, we're not entering through the front gate. We're going in through the back."
