With Odin as the guide, finding people is naturally not a problem. Although the claims of the Divine King being all-knowing and omnipotent are somewhat exaggerated, he truly can see things on Earth.
Currently, Su Ming believes that the operation mode of the Super Axis is such that they disperse to various places to command the army. They seem to be assisting Faust, but given Zemo's personality, he surely won't be satisfied and is certainly plotting something.
However, Little Zemo is indeed decisive. Upon discovering that the Super Squad, which has been following him for years, switched allegiance to Lady Nine-Heads, he immediately abandoned them as bait to distract others?
Otherwise, knowing that Deathstroke would enter the fray, Zemo surely wouldn't make such an unwise move of splitting forces. Instead, it seems like he has a flavor of not letting Faust and the Root of Hatred obtain the squad that he cannot have.
Indeed, anyone who can reach the position of Hydra Leader is never simple; it's this ruthless spirit that many cannot emulate.
But it is understandable, as Zemo has been hiding like a mouse with a few people for so long, suddenly hearing there is a big shot he can cling to, so he proactively sought them out.
But upon reaching Iceland, he realized that Lady Nine-Heads actually doesn't have many people under her, but rather relies on Doctor Faust's plan to control and utilize the US Army. It's quite awkward.
Working for reality is one thing, but for Zemo to work for Faust is another.
Both being Hydra leaders, Zemo is not Zola, capable of enduring insult quietly; he's likely planning to abscond with something from those two behind the scenes.
Internal strife among the nine heads is the norm; they excel in infighting, whereas SSR just engages in office politics; Hydra is genuinely life-and-death.
Zemo is one of the rare leaders whose surface relations within Hydra are not great with anyone, yet he's living well, which explains something: he is very clever.
"Tsk, tsk, looks like the enemy leader here in San Francisco is the Blood Count, huh? Should really take him to the sun then..."
Hiding on a rooftop of a building, Su Ming stroked his chin while talking to the Crow, noticing a blood-red figure basking in the soft moonlight on the top of another nearby tall building.
The Blood Race is often somber and introverted; their cold blood makes them lose emotions, akin to stone statues or philosophers, unwilling to engage in human affairs.
Humans are prey; do they, as predators, really need to interfere?
If you, as a hunter, don't hunt properly but instead focus on handling the neighborhood issues among hares, isn't that obviously ill?
The Blood Count is such an ill person, too bored in his long life as part of the Blood Race, occasionally acquiring a human book titled "Nine-headed True God."
He was deeply unsalvageable, a brainwashed fanatic, believing in Hydra's ideology more than anyone, daring even to challenge Dracula for the so-called 'True God's Heaven'.
It's important to know that Dracula is the Blood Race's True Ancestor, genuinely retired to travel and vacation, but it's also true he holds the life-and-death power over the Blood Race; his descendants' power is weaker than ants before him.
However, Dracula is also extremely bored; being undying, he merely laughs off the Blood Count's offense. He just wishes to play games with Van Helsing's descendants; everything else is of no concern.
The Blood Count has a very mixed bloodline; Su Ming even thinks Romulus may have secretly tampered with him, giving him wolf blood or infecting him with rabies or something.
Overall, unlike ordinary Blood Race members, the Blood Count is highly insane, capable of various actions contrary to the blood aristocracy identity and resembles a Berserker, enjoying screaming and cursing.
Dealing with the Blood Race isn't difficult. Apart from Dracula's undying nature being challenging, Su Ming has many ways to restrict other Blood Race members, but still throwing them into the sun is the simplest and most feasible.
"Let me do it, you step back a bit." Odin's communication Crow delivered the Divine King's words, though phrased as a request, the tone was commanding, leaving Su Ming no chance to refuse.
Su Ming smirked, put the ice cream transformed by Godslayer back into his bag: "Being a big brother speaks differently, huh? Fine, go ahead, just woke up and good to have some exercise."
"I just hope you don't casually get involved in these mortal conflicts; didn't the Ancient One tell you before stepping down about the Supreme Mage's responsibility?" The Crow glanced at him with ruby-like eyes, its gaze surprisingly showing some helplessness.
Su Ming sat on the rooftop, leaning against the cement barrier at the edge, the snow made his back chilly, he comfortably took off his helmet and took out a cigarette to light.
"She is her, I am me; you can't require every Supreme Mage to be the same, and trust me, the Ancient One chose me to succeed her, certainly not just her choice: does a person represent the era, or does the era create a person?"
The Crow lowered its head, symbolizing Odin pondering, though soon shifted the topic, as it was merely a detail.
He hopes Deathstroke prepares more for the future, concealing and conserving energy, lurking in the world's darkness, whereas Deathstroke believes even in darkness, there are some things to be done; unequivocal seclusion leads to no good results.
They only have such disputes, which aren't the key to the future.
"Meteor of the World, Gungnir!"
With the crow's whisper, a thin rainbow beam suddenly fell from the sky, directly hitting the Blood Count, who was still laughing madly at the scenery not far away. Almost before he could react, he was struck by the Divine Gun thrown by Odin.
Gungnir inherently possesses the effect of hitting its mark every time. Even if Odin throws it with his eyes closed, as long as he has determined the target, this spear, which can transform into thunder, will pierce the target's heart.
Those who know this gun are aware that although it gleams with golden light and appears exceptionally ornate, it is actually a branch that has transformed from the World Tree, with ancient runes gifted by the World Tree to Odin inscribed on the shaft—'He who holds this gun shall be king of the world'.
For most of the Blood Race, when staked through the heart, they fall into a sleep-like state.
Now with Odin using the branches of the World Tree, the effect is extraordinary. After hitting the target, the spear also emitted a sun-like bright light, disintegrating the target's organs from within.
The poor Blood Count didn't even see where the enemy was, and was disintegrated into rainbow-like fragments, without even a chance to split into a swarm of bats.
With a 'pop' sound, as if an invisible bubble burst, the rainbow specks scattered on the snowy ground of the rooftop.
Gungnir then transformed into a rainbow and flew into the sky, with darkness soon returning to the surroundings, except for the ever-present moonlight.
"Clap, clap, clap, it seems the Asgard myths aren't all lies. The World Tree indeed has some connection with the Nine Realms. I don't believe the legend about it supporting the Nine Realms with its branches, but its ability to bypass the Protective Array of Kama Taiji is indeed true."
Su Ming, with a cigarette in hand, clapped casually, making a few teasing remarks with a smile.
However, he was still pondering Odin's intentions—was it a hint, or a display of power?
An Ancient God, the World Tree Yggdrasil...
"I haven't heard any news of the Great Serpent lately; it's as if it has vanished from the Nine Realms." The crow spoke up before he could delve too deeply into his thoughts.
Su Ming understood; it was this event driving it. Therefore, Odin was showcasing his power to find a way out, wanting Deathstroke to help deal with his brother but couldn't say it outright.
So he made a move, first extending a favor, fearful that Deathstroke might refuse his actions, so proactive indeed.
But Odin was not someone so urgent before. Has something happened internally within the Immortal Palace?
The God of Story has been erased by time, Loki's current small mischief isn't a real issue, and Thor is currently clueless, incapable of causing any major trouble.
So it seems Gullveig's plan to frame the Mother of Gods has succeeded; among the Three Goddesses, now only her sister Frigga remains, with Gaia and Qitong probably eliminated.
Indeed, the Queen of Warnerheim, Gullveig, surely has the potential of her father Frey. Plus, those imported palace drama shows weren't watched in vain; they have indeed proven effective now.
"I've also been pursuing the Great Serpent's trail, but unfortunately..." Whatever Su Ming was pondering wouldn't be apparent to Odin. Contrary to that, he nodded solemnly towards Odin: "If I get any news, I'll immediately inform Heimdall. Then we'll find a way to kill it together."
"But in the prophecy..." The crow humanized, hugging its wings like a person crossing their arms.
Su Ming interrupted him, sticking the half-smoked cigarette into the crow's mouth:
"I know. Your son is prophesied to perish together with the Great Serpent while trying to save Asgard, which would hasten the Twilight of the Gods and lead everything to inevitable doom. But humans can achieve anything; perhaps you've tried other methods and given up. In that case, let a Midgardian like me give it a shot. After all, even if I fail, you all end up dead anyway."
"Haha, it seems you, young man, have more courage. Then we'll act according to your idea. I'll be off first." The crow spit out the butt, flapped its wings, and took off.
"Sigh, don't rush off just yet. We haven't been to three cities yet. You Asgardians don't know a thing about seeing through with help, to the very end, do you?" Su Ming grabbed the crow's hind leg and pulled it back.
"You're right, we don't know what a Buddha is." The crow turned its head away, refusing to look at him.
Su Ming rolled his eyes, flying off to find Old Wan, muttering to the crow all the while: "You're just pretending to be confused. If you truly didn't know what a Buddha is, you wouldn't even understand this phrase."
"Ahem, I need to rest." The crow relayed Odin's words: "You and I are alike, our souls are both wounded. Only, yours is damaged externally, mine is exhausted. We both need to recuperate and await the tide's coming."
"Since you've already made a move, a few more wouldn't kill you. Whether these hundreds of thousands of troops are crushed by metal or struck by a rainbow, it doesn't matter. Just leave me an Asian woman and someone with a purple hood among the enemies."
Su Ming hardly believed his stories, for there are too many outside factors interfering with his relationship with Odin, far less pure than his relationship with the Leopard God.
Since Big Cat says he's alright, then it should be fine. Besides, they already had some mutton hot pot for a proper boost, didn't they?
