Chapter 457 - Chapter 425: Descent

Following Deathstroke's instructions, Barry tirelessly modified the computer data. His hands moved incredibly fast, almost completing each improvement the moment Su Ming mentioned it.

With this level of skill, he could make more money in advertising design than he does now in the lab researching physics and as a part-time forensic expert.

He could meet client requirements almost instantaneously, with zero waiting time.

As he continued to operate, the indescribable monster projected in the hall became increasingly detailed.

When Su Ming saw everyone except Albella and himself vomiting due to a drastic drop in their sanity, he knew his goal was achieved.

This 'enhanced version of the little cousin's' image would indeed become Inverted Man's nightmare.

"I didn't expect him to be so terrifying without his uniform. It even revolted me a bit."

Su Ming took off his helmet to smoke, needing to calm down.

Even if the image was one from his imagination, he recalled Wade's appearance, described it to Barry, then through artistic processing added numerous Cthulhu traits.

But one must admit, Deadpool's foundation was excellent. Without much effort, they achieved the image of a true Ancient Evil God.

What kind of monstrous entity is this that even Su Ming himself cannot articulate the existence before him?

The true unspeakable horror is such that it induces not fear, but revulsion and nausea— compared to it, the Hell Demon King Beelzebub doesn't even count as a speck of dust.

Barry vomited his dinner pizza. Unlike the others, he had time to quickly step outside to throw up into the pit sealing the Primordial.

"Is this your cousin? Remind me not to go near your place around Thanksgiving."

Barry wiped his mouth while shielding his eyes, not daring to look at the thing in the room.

"You can rest assured, I don't have a home." Su Ming raised an eyebrow at Barry, smiling to show his concern was unnecessary.

"Hey, man, no need to live so miserably. If you'd like, you can stay with me at the Hall of Justice. I've got a big room."

Barry immediately became overflowing with sympathy. He couldn't bear seeing someone homeless.

"You have nothing there but treadmills, not even a TV."

Su Ming did not feel miserable being alone. After all, he was accustomed to this in his past life.

"You can watch Superman's TV; he wouldn't mind. But the most luxurious TV is Batman's, though I doubt he'd let you in his room." Barry continued his persistent persuasion.

Su Ming patted his shoulder, thanking him for his kindness: "No need, the rooms in your Hall of Justice are just employee dorms. Now that I have money, I can buy a house anywhere. Or are you planning to live in the Hall of Justice after you marry? Trust me, Batman wouldn't let your wife into the lives of superheroes."

Seeing Barry ponder over this, Su Ming walked towards Albella on the other side, who still enjoyed her smoke and drink as if unaffected.

Meanwhile, Donna and Zatanna had already retched up bile.

"You could actually hold it in without throwing up. I wonder what experiences you might have had in Hell."

"Drink enough, and you can avoid seeing many things you don't want to. It's more effective than any protective spell." Albella shrugged, effortlessly passing her cigarette to Su Ming: "Why do many places refer to alcohol as the elixir of magic? Because it has the power to protect the mind."

Feeling the slightly moist touch from the cigarette butt, Su Ming shook his head: "I lean more towards the scientific side. What you call protection, I usually call anesthesia."

"Call it what you want. The world warlocks see is not the same as yours. If you ever try astral projection, what you'd see would be even more colorful than what a drug addict sees on a high."

Albella shook her head with a smile, knowing explaining the magic world to a layperson was indeed very challenging. After all, they couldn't even see it.

But Su Ming was an exception.

He knew what astral projection was; Marvel also had similar magic. In the "Doctor Strange" movie, the magic that let the soul leave the body was astral projection, a signature spell used by The Ancient One to wander the cosmos.

However, domestic audiences typically call it 'soul emergence' or 'out-of-body incarnation.'

In that state, the caster can see creatures in the Magic Dimension, much like an alien zoo, all vibrant and bizarre.

Many warlocks have a drinking habit because they have witnessed so many peculiar things.

"Actually, I've seen the Magic Dimension..." Su Ming took a deep drag, finishing the cigarette before dropping the butt and putting his helmet back on: "Bo Bo, clean up the vomit and trash. The rest of you can hide; leave it to me and Zatanna to face Hecate."

Gorilla's black facial hair appeared even darker: "Why should I clean the vomit? After you and The Flash made such a monster?"

Su Ming rolled his eyes, not expecting such a simple question from Bo Bo, where was the detective's pride?

"Because you're the bar owner, aren't cleaning vomit your specialty?"

Bo Bo bared his teeth with a heavy grimace, giving his head a fierce slap.

Damn it, Deathstroke made so much sense that he couldn't retort!

Hecate's speed in arriving wasn't fast, and Su Ming wondered if she had gone somewhere again.

After arranging everything, he and Zatanna waited quite a while before Hecate finally arrived.

When the Witch Mother revealed herself in the void, Su Ming knew where she had been.

She took advantage of the chaos to go to Hell, regain the power from Don and Black Orchid, and now she was several times stronger than when she was in Shangri-La.

"Why did no one tell me her power grows not by addition but multiplication?"

Su Ming whispered to Zatanna at his side, their shadows faint in the torch-lit area.

But with Hecate's arrival, her flaming purple spirit light illuminated everything around, crystallizing even the surrounding air.

Unlike Su Ming's fearlessness, Zatanna, as a caster, couldn't remain so composed. She profoundly understood the horror of the Witch Mother and knew the magic that could burn the air meant.

She wasn't sure if their previous plan would still work.

At that moment, Hecate hadn't grown large, just slightly taller than an average person, wearing a headpiece made of gold, and draped in a deep purple sheet.

She looked at the two of them and the ancient array under their feet.

Her wrinkled old woman's face broke into a sinister smile.
