"Why are you unbuckling your belt?"
Su Ming noticed the female mage fidgeting with her clothes in his arms, seemingly eager as she licked her lips.
The reason he let the mage hold onto him was because one of his hands was operating a weapon, while the other was carrying the unconscious Black Orchid.
"Hmm? Can you really thrust it in through your pants? Sorry, I'm not familiar with you super soldiers."
Albella nodded, as if she understood.
Su Ming patted her head and sighed, "What are you thinking about? Control your desires, don't let them influence you!"
The mage was stunned. After being hit, she realized something was off.
She wasn't usually like this, but at this moment the primal desires within her were boiling over uncontrollably.
The angels were being controlled by unknown forces, and Hell was similarly affected.
Angels pursue order, so they obey unconditionally. Hell pursues chaos, so desires are magnified exponentially.
She figured it out.
"Alright, I'm fine now." She poured some liquor on her face and wiped it vigorously with her coat sleeve. Earlier she had used Hell power for mental defense, not expecting to be affected by chaos herself.
"Seeing you like this, I'm worried about what Mackenzie might be like."
Su Ming almost instantly deduced why the female mage was acting this way. If all the demons in Hell were affected by primal desires, things would be a mess again.
Battle-loving demons would keep fighting, greedy demons would loot everything—demons are almost embodiments of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Why is it seven again?
Su Ming was starting to dislike that number.
God let Lucifer fall to bring that last bit of order to Hell so that the demons could be ruled by the Demon King.
This was his original plan, but now it seems someone doesn't intend to follow God's playbook.
The internal chaos of the demons was fully aroused, and the angels seemed to be controlled by order itself. If Heaven and Hell clash, the inevitable result would be mutual destruction.
"Mackenzie is the Queen of Pain, she enjoys pain—delivering or receiving it makes her happy." Albella answered him seriously. After calming down, she straightened her clothes, feeling a bit embarrassed: "But now that I use magic, I have to be careful. In this situation, it's easy to be affected by Hell's power."
"Your situation isn't that serious. I've seen side effects of magic casting a hundred times worse than this." Su Ming continued his excavation work as the mage returned to normal and could resume fighting. "By the way, your aroused expression was quite amusing."
"....Shut up."
Amusing? What kind of word is that?
The female mage's face turned dark. Just now, a beautiful woman like herself couldn't hold back and wanted to invite Deathstroke for some enjoyment in the tunnel.
Yet Deathstroke was shockingly calm, not only rejecting the invitation but also waking her up and calling it amusing.
Although Albella hated the phrase "Miss Colorado," she was very confident about her looks, which were praised even by Lucifer, surpassing most angels.
If beauty is one of the original sins, she's destined for Hell as a Demon King.
Just wait, after the contract is over and I get my money, I'm going to cast a powerful spell on Deathstroke, making him hopelessly fall for me.
Then I'll tease him for a while before heartlessly rejecting him, telling him he's amusing...
..............
As guessed, Mackenzie's current condition wasn't very good.
Her guard was reduced to just the leading Great Demon, now in a Berserk state that recognized no kin, while a few angels clad in sheets slowly flew in from outside the throne room.
"My Lord demands your obedience."
Although Maggie Ken was immersed in the wails of death from both sides, she instantly sobered up upon seeing the angels.
She sat up straight on the throne, coldly meeting those red eyes.
"No way."
"Disobedience leads to destruction."
The angels clearly had no persuasion protocols and no waiting steps.
They immediately launched an attack on Mackenzie, coming from all directions, flapping their wings, holding high Heaven's treasure sword, with the sound of air being beaten echoing in the throne room.
However, what welcomed them were quickly pronounced incantations and rolling flames.
Su Ming broke through the roof with the female mage, just in time.
The angels' feathered wings faced with Hellfire almost instantly turned into torches, with only a few reacting quickly enough to avoid the flamethrower magic's attack.
They shook off the sparks clinging to them and backed away a little.
But more of them had their wings burned into blackened withered branches, and they crashed to the ground.
They rolled around, trying their best to touch their own backs with their hands, but could never feel the once-white wings at their scapula position.
They let out piercing screams, like poultry during slaughter, while the power of Hell swiftly transformed them; it wouldn't be long before they became new Fallen Angels.
Of course, the remaining angels in flight wouldn't give them such a chance. As humans and demons converged, they eliminated their former companions.
"Mai Zi, are you alright?" Albella approached the throne, scrutinizing the half-faced woman as if checking for signs of injury.
However, apart from blood continually gushing from her hands, Mackenzie had no other wounds.
"I am the Queen of Hell, what could possibly happen? These low-tier angels are nothing in my eyes."
Mackenzie's tone was calm, her expression unchanged, exuding a remarkable sense of pride as if what she said was true.
In reality, she was pinned to the throne, more of a mascot, a Hell totem, with virtually no combat power.
While the mage and the queen conversed, Su Ming flung Black Orchid at the foot of the throne, studying those flying birdmen above.
Not that he had anything against Heaven, it was just that people with oversized wings on their backs seemed odd.
With God's abilities, He could have created angels able to fly without wings. But He didn't, insisting on adding wings, which are both a burden and a weakness.
Could it be that God is a good buddy of Colonel Sanders? Fond of crispy roast wings?
Su Ming remembered reading a KFC-DC crossover comic where Colonel Sanders, or Grandpa KFC, was ridiculously strong, saving the cosmos with Finger Lickin' Good Chicken and Drumstick Burgers, even defeating the leader of the Orange Lantern Corps.
One must know that Sanders' trump card was the KFC Family Bucket, obviously not using his full strength.
By the way, he was also Barry's idol, as The Flash is a loyal consumer of fast food.
These trivial bits of information swirled in Deathstroke's mind, though his actions remained swift and unaffected. He quickly pulled out the Divine Gold Gauss from his back.
It's the perfect opportunity for a turkey shoot—who knows how long until the next one, maybe hundreds of years!
