Chapter 438 - Chapter 406: Diana Under Control

Su Ming's helmet visor has night vision capabilities, allowing him to clearly see what is inside the evidence bag.

A strand of hair.

More specifically, a green, noodle-like curly strand of hair.

Bo Bo put the evidence bag in his pocket: "I suppose even without various tests, Batman should remember very clearly what chemical components are in this green hair."

"Everything is indeed related to Luthor; Circe also acted under his orders. It seems she has joined our enemy's ranks."

Su Ming nodded; there are no other clues here, not even the Joker's green hair, which Bo Bo extracted from the rock crevice.

The hair follicle is very fresh, indicating its owner hasn't left for long.

"This is interesting, a mythical witch stands against us. I happen to want to see who is stronger between her and me."

Albella still had that half-dead look, as if she didn't care at all, she lowered her head to light a cigarette.

"Strange, why have you become so proactive? Saying such fighting-spirited words is very unusual for you." Su Ming raised an eyebrow.

Albella thought for a moment: "... Okay, I'm going to the seaside to wash my face, it seems Hell's Seven Deadly Sins are affecting me."

The female mage walked out of the cavern towards the rugged coast, while Bo Bo and Donna watched Su Ming, waiting for his plan.

Su Ming and the others initially came here to consult Circe about the matter of Hecate.

Diana returned here again, likely for the same issue, to find Hecate and at the same time her team.

There are no signs of a fight here, indicating Circe must have deceived Diana once more.

If so, this lie should also be related to Hecate, otherwise Diana wouldn't have been easily fooled.

Hecate's purpose is known to him; the current goal is to destroy the three pillars of the Magic Realm.

Circe's plan then should be to send Diana to Hecate, letting Diana and the Deathstroke Squad fight Witch Mother Hecate until both sides are severely weakened.

Vivian had told Su Ming that the fifth Engraver has powerful magic, capable of suppressing her Divination Magic.

Circe perfectly fits this condition; she is a Titan's daughter, a follower of Hecate, a user of witchcraft, a powerful ancient witch.

Simply, perfectly matching the profile.

Circe is the fifth person of the Witch's Hour; the probability is extremely high.

Su Ming quickly shared his guesses with them, also allowing Batman to eavesdrop a bit.

After all, the Joker appearing here indicates Luthor likely came too, but it's a shame it can't be confirmed because Luthor doesn't have a hair loss issue, or long since recovered from it.

"Diana may have been tricked into going to only two places, Shangri-La or Olympus."

Su Ming gave his conclusion.

Batman remained silent, it seemed as though he agreed.

"I'll make a call; the gods there know Diana. If she reaches Olympus, there will surely be witnesses."

Donna raised her small red phone, looking very similar to Diana's.

"Then I'll wait for your results." Su Ming nodded, indicating she could do as she thought.

Not knowing who Donna called, she only exchanged a few words over the phone then shook her head at Su Ming.

"She hasn't gone there."

"Tell those gods to be vigilant; Olympus should be Hecate's final stop. We'll now head to Shangri-La to find Diana."

Su Ming immediately assigned tasks to them, and returning from the seaside at that moment, Albella claimed to have seen the big footprints left by a feline.

Since Luthor's group appeared here, Cheetah following is normal. However, it's surprising she restrained herself from acting against Diana, presumably Luthor promised her a huge reward.

.........

Su Ming felt the teleportation gates he had walked through this whole night were more than he ever had, always going back and forth in a few places.

When they returned to the bar again, Trish hadn't started working yet, receiving another lecture from Bo Bo, she cried once more.

Entering through the front door, chatting a bit, then exiting through the front door of the tavern.

The scenery before them changed from the streets of Athens to the ruins of Shangri-La.

They seemed to have come a bit late; two giant figures in the sky were battling at that moment.

One was a tall old woman with three heads and six arms, the other was a luminous female face.

It was none other than Hecate, and the host here, Goddess Kushina.

Though they appear like water curtain projections or some new-style 3D film technology, giant towering females and so forth, these two entities seemed dreamlike, not so real.

Yet, the destruction they caused is very real; the city and castle demolished by Don earlier were now ignited again, the raging flames illuminated the sky.

Su Ming jumped onto a nearby city wall, observing the situation in the city; he quickly noticed, in a corner of the city, maybe it was once a garden-like place.

A purple silhouette was desperately pursuing Constantine and his group.

Diana was controlled, which is not a good thing.

Constantine, Zatanna, Swamp Thing, and Dead, except for Upper Capital and Banshee who weren't here, this was essentially the original lineup of the Dark Justice League.

They used to be very strong, but the wheel of fortune turns.

The witchcraft failed, Zatanna was the first to be taken down, her antithesis magic now only attracted the Inverted Man.

Then came Swamp Thing, Black Orchid went to assassinate the Tree Council there and fought fiercely with the Deathstroke, and even though Su Ming tried to minimize damages, over half of the Green of All Things representatives died.

Next was the chaos of Hell and Heaven, Constantine being a Hell Contracted faced more severe consequences than Albella, hence he had no intention of casting spells.

Lastly came Dead, his power source, his god, was contending with Hecate, and his powers were entirely useless against the controlled Diana.

"Tsk, didn't expect Swamp Thing would also have this day."

Su Ming wasn't in a hurry, his task was to protect Diana, as long as she doesn't die, it's fine.

Now she was happily chasing others, there was no immediate danger.

Barry once referred to Swamp Thing as the 'walking green apocalypse'; in normal circumstances, even if the Justice League all attacked together, unless Superman and Barry unleashing their full wrath was uprooting every plant on Earth, Swamp Thing could contend with them equally.

Recall, those who could go head-to-head with the Justice League's seven were all formidable figures ranked in the cosmos.

Of course, also consider that during combat, Diana and the Sea King couldn't exactly deal lethal blows.

But now it's different; Diana, controlled by the Witch's Hour, had her exposed skin emanating intense purple light, the March Emblem on her head dazzling, she flew and hacked at the group relentlessly, every strike intended to kill.

The engraving greatly enhanced her, now even Swamp Thing could only use vines to escape with them, without the courage to confront Diana.
