Chapter 11 - Ch.11 - Jogo's Defeat

"Wasn't I at the school just like, ten seconds ago? What's going on?" Yuji said, craning his neck up to look at Gojo.

"Um, we jumped," Gojo said simply with a simple smile.

'He doesn't plan on telling me,' Yuji thought as Jogo's eye narrowed.

"What's with the kid? Gonna use him as a shield?"

"A shield? No, no, no. Like I said, just a little lesson." Gojo waved off Jogo's words.

"I'm in the process of teaching this kid lots of things, so don't worry. You do your thing," Gojo spoke with the confidence of the strongest, as Jogo couldn't help but feel offended.

'Why aren't we sinking?' Yuji thought, looking down at the water they stood on.

"He's going to be a liability for you, you fool," Jogo said through grit teeth.

"Nah, we should be good. After all..."

"You're really weak," Gojo said, laughing at Jogo as the curse finally snapped.

"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME, YOU BRAT! I'LL MELT YOU AND YOUR STUPID SMUG FACE!" Jogo shouted, magma bursting from his head and ears.

The pressure of Jogo's cursed energy was enough to make the waters around them stir and the air to vibrate from the ambient heat alone, and yet...

'This guy is... weak?!' Yuji thought with widened eyes.

This guy was orders of magnitude beyond any other curse he's ever seen in his life.

Gojo's hand landed on Yuji's head, snapping him out of his thoughts.

"Don't worry. Just stay close to me," Gojo said calmly.

"DOMAIN EXPANSION: COFFIN OF THE IRON MOUNTAIN!" In a fraction of a second, the landscape around the three of them changed into a cave of solid black rock.

It took less than a second for magma to begin spilling from unseen cracks in all directions, the temperature enough to instantly turn most non-special grade sorcerers to ash from presence alone.

"W-What is this?!" Yuji looked around in shock.

"This is domain expansion, an environment constructed with cursed energy and manifested through a cursed technique," Gojo explained as Yuji dodged a slash of magma that almost burned his hand.

"The domain you guys experienced at the facility was an unfinished one that wasn't manifested using a cursed technique. You guys would have been dead if it was a proper domain. Megumi probably knew that," Gojo continued, completely ignoring the domain around them beyond what was necessary to talk about.

"Constructing a domain uses a ton of cursed energy, but can be worth it. First off, you get an upgrade in stats due to the environment—kinda like a buff in video games."

"Also..." Gojo saw a large chunk of volcanic rock rushing at his face, and with a simple jab, he shattered it easily.

BOOM!!!

"Tch!" Jogo frowned, seeing his attack fail to harm Gojo even now.

"Cursed techniques deployed in the domain will always hit," Gojo continued as Yuji turned to look at him.

"Always!?"

"Yup. Alllllways," Gojo nodded.

"But don't worry too much; there are some counters to this. For example, hit the incoming attacks with jujutsu like I just did."

"I don't recommend this second method, but you could always run away. It's almost impossible due to the larger interior of a domain, though," Gojo pointed out.

"And..." Before Gojo could continue, Jogo cut him off.

"Your infinity! If we're in my more potent domain, my jujutsu will reach you, correct?"

"Yup, it sure will," Gojo answered without even a hint of worry.

Jogo remembered everything he said back during his conversation with Kenjaku; he wondered if he should have actually brought the Prison Realm with him and made it easier on himself.

'I only came here half-seriously originally. If I couldn't kill him, it wouldn't be a big deal. But he showed me the difference in our power.'

'As a cursed spirit, with the pride of a new human... I WON'T ACCEPT IT!' Jogo grit his teeth with determination.

"As I was saying, the most effective counter to domain expansion is to simply expand your own domain." Gojo reached for his blindfold, pulling it down, his sky-blue eyes shining with power.

"When multiple domains are expanded at the same time, the more polished one will reign supreme. It can also depend on compatibility and cursed energy, though..." Gojo smirked.

"I WON'T EVEN LEAVE A SINGLE ASH BEHIND OF YOU, SATORU GOJO!!!" Jogo shouted as Gojo spoke a single chant.

"Domain Expansion..." All the attacks closing in on Gojo and Yuji froze as if time came to a standstill, as Jogo himself felt a terrible premonition.

"Unlimited Void."

A burst of darkness rushed in every direction, the twilight of imaginary stars twinkling close yet far away. It swallowed Jogo's domain without resistance as the starlight rushed around Jogo's frozen form, negating his domain entirely.

The moment the last bit of Jogo's domain was destroyed, what seemed like large splashes of white void painted over the stars around them as an imaginary black hole stood tall behind Gojo and Yuji.

'What happened? Was my domain so easily suppressed?' Jogo thought when he noticed it.

'I can't see anything... I can't feel anything... wait, no.'

'I CAN SEE EVERYTHING!! I FEEL EVERYTHING!! THE INFORMATION HAS NO END!!!'

'YET BECAUSE OF THAT... I CAN'T DO ANYTHING!!!' Jogo then felt a firm hand on his head.

"You're inside my Limitless."

"Perception. Communication. The actions you take in your life are forced upon you infinitely," Gojo explained with calm.

"Ironic, right? Given everything possible, but unable to do anything with it, dying slowly," Gojo smiled.

"I think I'll stop here since there are still some questions I want to ask you." Gojo's grip on Jogo's skull tightened as he pulled upward with a bit of strength.

Riiippp!

Gojo tore off Jogo's head in a simple motion as the domain around them dismissed itself, vanishing.

THUD THUD

Jogo's head bounced on the ground as Gojo stopped it from rolling off with his foot.

"So... who sent you?" Gojo slipped his blindfold back on as Yuji stood behind him amazed.

'Wow, he really is the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer! He's on a whole other level than us. Although...'

Yuji was confident in the strength of his sensei, however, he was the only other person to see him and Sukuna battle up close back at the detention center. This Mt. Fuji curse was definitely still above his own pay grade, but Sukuna...

'Sukuna was much stronger than this!' Yuji felt his heart pounding.

Does he have what it takes to face Sukuna? He couldn't even see Sukuna's movements now, let alone after he gets the remaining 18 fingers!

Gojo placed a hand on Yuji's back as Yuji snapped out of his trance.

"You alright, Itadori?" Gojo smiled as Yuji nodded with determination.

———————————————————

"Yikes..." Kenjaku said with a smile as he crouched on a cliff overlooking Gojo, Yuji, and Jogo's situation.

"Whaddya think? Should we save him?" He looked over to Hanami, who was making flowers on their hand.
