Chapter 64 - Dangerous Silence

They obeyed and stepped back, letting him take the lead.

Si-Hun opened his stats.

There was a new notification.

A new skill, not an ability.

"A combo of two or more skills, one must combine their abilities for greater impact,'' Si-Hun whispered under his breath.

Everyone was looking at him with hope in their eyes.

"Perfect! This is the perfect skill you needed right now to kill many of these in one attack!" Kuro squeaked.

Si-Hun's eyes followed the few monsters in the room who were surprisingly not attacking anyone.

"Why aren't they attacking?" Si-Hun asked Kuro.

"They sense an overwhelming power in this room; they know they will be doomed if they attack…or even if they don't," Kuro told him.

Si-Hun turned to look at all the predators and the monster, a glint of determination visible in his tense eyes.

"Combine lightning strike with Titan's wave!" Si-Hun shouted, lifting his hands, which emitted a purple glow around him.

A sight that left the others in amazement.

"Woah…It seems so surreal…" One of the predators let out in awe.

"It is," Rahee muttered.

Just then, after a pause of a few seconds, there was a huge explosion.

A wave of invisible force shot through with the presence of electricity in it.

It didn't reach the predators, though.

The wave was quick but slow enough for the humans present there to witness.

"My god!" The leader spoke as his eyes followed the way Si-Hun's eyes turned void-like.

Dark and unbothered.

In a matter of time, every monster in that room was either burnt to death or was hit with such a force that it took away every bit of strength they had in their large bodies.

Si-Hun sighed and looked over to everyone.

"Let's move to the boss chamber, but I would suggest y'all stay here for safety,'' he said.

Everyone looked over to the leader.

"We do not want to be useless hags! Please! Let us come with you so we are of some use. We could heal you-

"I can do that myself."

The leader looked at the others before looking back at Si-Hun.

"Alright. You go in there, but please, inform us in some way if you need any help. And…thanks, for saving our lives. I don't know if I'll get the chance to say it again." The leader's voice was low, ashamed of himself as a leader.

Si-Hun nodded and left for the boss's chamber.

The gate was huge and sealed like the others.

He opened it, pushing through the centre.

The door opened with a loud creak, revealing the danger that had been sitting inside, waiting for its prey.

Though as soon as it saw him coming, something in it tickled under his skin.

It felt something unspoken but highlighted.

There was the boss, resting on the ground.

A long, silky body that seemed to continue forever.

"It's…a snake?" Si-Hun whispered to himself while observing that snake.

"But a dangerous kind…" he continued.

The snake was conscious the moment Si-Hun entered.

Si-Hun kept his sword in hand, eyes scanning every corner.

The snake rolled its tongue, slithering slowly.

Si-Hun took slow, heavy steps towards the snake.

The snake was amused by such courage.

It slowly circled Si-Hun, its long body surrounding him from every corner.

It moved slowly, deliberate as if trying to show Si-Hun what power he had welcomed alone.

Si-Hun didn't do anything, just stayed calm and let the snake do its work.

The snake stopped after surrounding him fully, also from the fact that he was so unbothered by his intimidating presence.

The dungeon seemed colder, but the warmth radiating from him was enough to brush the snake's armour.

"Welcoming, I see. Already making me a prey?" Si-Hun scoffed, a smirk spreading on his face.

The snake hissed slightly, but didn't overreact like the other monsters.

It was different from any other monster Si-Hun had ever crossed paths with.

The small sounds lingered in the tight space.

There were a few carvings on the walls, about a snake strangling some people.

There were a few torches on the walls, brighter than normal and enough to cast a golden glow in the chamber.

The snake's skin was tingling as it saw its "so-called" prey, not aware of what mind it had come across with.

This was just the first few minutes.
