Chapter 1086 - Chapter 798: Fishing Plan_2

"So in my opinion, it's better to focus on the communication tools themselves."

"What do you mean?" Kael poured him another cup of honey wine.

"It means making communication tools into the most common shapes, like buttons and strings that everyone would wear. That way, even if the Death Eaters see them, they'd think they're just normal little objects and wouldn't give it another thought."

"Just like the kind of Galleon used by the D.A. No one would have thought that a Galleon was our communication tool."

As he spoke, he unintentionally looked at the golden cup Kael was using to pour wine.

But not because of its expensive material.

Gold utensils are rare but not unheard of. For example, where they currently live has a full set of gold utensils, including cups, candlesticks, plates, bowls, knives, forks, and more.

They're all left behind by the Black Family, but Sirius just stored them in the pantry and never took them out.

His interest was in the cup itself.

That thing doesn't look big at all, so how can it hold so much wine? They've gone through two rounds, yet the wine hasn't decreased at all.

Initially, he thought it was a Refilling Charm, but the strange thing was, Kael hadn't recited any spells, and he didn't sense any magical traces on the cup.

As the owner of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, Fred trusted his own judgment; that thing was just an ordinary cup... at least, from the outside.

"This..."

"Then go with your idea."

He was just about to say something when Kael interrupted him.

"First, make one with a command, and then send it to the Ministry of Magic for Bones to take a look."

"If she's satisfied, great. If not... you can always change it later. Anyway, there's hardly anyone in Diagon Alley now, and you're idle either way."

"What do you mean, idle? We're very busy, okay."

"Ah, right, right, I misspoke. You all are very busy, earning a thousand Galleons a day." Kael gestured towards the door, "Alright, if there's nothing else, please hurry along; I need to sleep."

With that, he stood up, ready to send them off.

Originally, this was a good thing for Fred and George; if they left promptly, they wouldn't need to worry about Kael setting them up for anything.

But Fred couldn't suppress his curiosity.

"Wait a moment." He leaned over to look towards the table, "That cup of yours..."

"Oh, that one." Kael said nonchalantly, "Nothing special, just Hufflepuff's Golden Cup. Doesn't Gryffindor have a sword too?"

"What did you say?"

"That's Hufflepuff's Golden Cup?!"

This made Fred and George even more reluctant to leave; any item left by the four founders is a treasure an alchemist can't refuse.

Though strictly speaking, they're not alchemists, they are somewhat similar, always dealing with Magic Items.

...

Actually, they knew this item was in Kael's hands, and Kael never hid it from them, including the fact about the Soul Artifact; they were aware.

But knowing is one thing, they had never seen it with their own eyes.

The duo bypassed Kael and headed straight to the table.

"Hufflepuff's Golden Cup..." Fred's eyes lit up alarmingly, "Didn't you say it's with Nicolas Flamel?"

"It was before." Kael said, "But after resolving the Soul Artifact issue, he returned it to me."

"When was that?" George raised his head angrily, "You never told us!"

"Last Christmas," Kael said, "At that time, you weren't at Hogwarts, how could I have told you?"

"That's no excuse; you could have written us a letter!" Fred said angrily, "I don't care; as punishment for deceiving your friends, we need to help you keep that Golden Cup for a while."

"That's not going to happen." Kael shook his finger, and the Golden Cup that was on the table immediately flew into his hand.

"I'm planning to lend it to Cedric for a while. If you want it, you'll have to queue up."

"How long?"

"Who knows, maybe a week, maybe a month." Kael pondered, "We'll see when he's done with his work."

"That's too long."

"Now that we know, how can we wait for so long?"

"We won't be able to sleep at night..."

"Why lend it to him first?"

"Yes, we've known you since we were three, and he's just a newcomer!"

They said indignantly, their voices even tinged with a bit of grievance.

"Don't talk in that tone; it's creepy." Kael felt a chill down his spine and couldn't help rubbing his arms, "Besides, there's a reason I'm lending it to him first."

"What's the reason?" Fred blurted out, but his eyes never left the Golden Cup in Kael's hand.

"He's been really busy lately, sometimes not even having time to eat." Kael said softly, "The Golden Cup can store food, letting him have a hot meal."

Upon hearing this, Fred and George quickly snapped out of their trance, shifting their gaze from the Golden Cup to Kael.

"So that's your plan."

"You can forget tricking us into going to the Ministry of Magic."

...

"What do you mean by that, tricking?" Kael raised an eyebrow, "Just kidding, I've resigned; whether or not you go to the Ministry of Magic has nothing to do with me."

"What, you resigned?"

"What else? Kael said, "Do you think Bones would let me keep taking a salary without doing anything?"
