"Exactly." Ra nodded approvingly, "That guy is so cunning, but unfortunately his wisdom was used in the wrong place."
Ian stroked the lead box in his hand, filled with emotion, "It's a relief that now it's a happy ending. The Evil God has been eradicated, and you've regained your freedom."
At this moment, he too breathed a sigh of relief, clearly noticing that the current Egyptian divine spirits were still quite different from the Greek divine spirits, not yet reaching the decadent moment that the dawn of the Gods should bring.
At this moment, Pluton Osiris and Goddess Isis stepped forward. Osiris's face remained solemn: "Although the Evil God has been eliminated, some damages are irreparable."
"We still need to return to the Netherworld to care for those souls who cannot re-enter the Human World and find them a resting place." This is why they can't be considered decadent.
After all, they still remember their primary duty, not viewing humans as livestock like the Zeus mindset. Even Isis gently added, "Many souls have suffered permanent damage under the Evil God's erosion and require a long purification process. As the Lord of the Underworld, we have the responsibility to provide them with final peace."
The Sun God Ra nodded seriously: "You are doing the right thing. The cycle of life needs maintenance, and the peace of the dead is equally important."
Osiris and Isis exchanged a glance, with no need for further words.
Osiris raised his hand, and a giant hand composed of souls suddenly made a swift cut in the void! A pitch-black temporal crack, with ghostly blue flames flickering along its edges, appeared out of nowhere, and behind the crack was the deep Netherworld passage filled with swirling stardust and the shadows of souls. The starlight around Isis gathered to form a stable light curtain at the edge of the crack.
They did not look at the Sun God last but turned their eyes to Ian.
"The Prince family once again proves your worth."
Osiris said, "May the boundary of life and death always protect your lineage."
Isis bestowed a gentle blessing: "May the light of life always illuminate your path."
These were two blessings.
However.
They could not truly be applied to Ian, which was not surprising to the Sun God Ra, although it was somewhat unexpected to the couple who offered the blessings.
"It seems you are the extraordinary one among the Prince."
In Osiris's golden vertical pupils, a trace of extremely faint and indescribable complex emotion flashed, finally turning into a brief but solemn nod. Isis gave him a very gentle, yet warm smile. Then, the two Elder Gods turned and stepped into the deep temporal crack.
The crack slowly closed behind them, leaving only a slight ripple of space and a fleeting whisper of souls. On the ruins, only Ian and the Sun God Ra remained once again.
"Still that cold outside but warm inside personality, this couple." Ian gazed at the spot where the Lord of the Underworld couple vanished, feeling many emotions. He turned around, facing the Sun God's avatar which emitted supreme majesty and warm brilliance, and finally asked the ultimate question that had haunted him, concerning the root of his lineage.
"Your Majesty, you previously mentioned the contract between the Prince family and the Egyptian Pantheon... Can you tell me more about my family?" He paused, trying to recall those vague family legends, "In your words, it seems... we have deeper ties to Ancient Egypt?"
He pretended to be unaware of his family's history.
Which was indeed the case.
Ra had no doubts about him.
The Sun God Ra's burning golden eyes gazed at Ian, seeming to penetrate his soul and see the ancient imprint flowing deep within his bloodline. His voice rose again, carrying a distant historical feeling.
"The Prince family in Ancient Egypt was a clan blessed with Divine Grace. You served as the Guardians of the Sun Divine Hall for generations, proficient in Alchemy and Magic Potions, known as 'Hand of the Sun'." He smiled slightly, "Your family's greatest skill was forging Magic Potions in the flames of the sun, and this talent comes precisely from the contract with me."
Although he had already speculated, hearing the confirmation now left Ian slightly shocked as he listened to this unknown family history.
At Hogwarts, the Prince family is renowned for being masters of Magic Potions, with Professor Snape as one of the last heirs. But he never imagined that the family originated from Ancient Egypt and was the contract guardians of the Sun God.
"So I guess." Ian pondered, "later the Prince family migrated from Egypt to the United Kingdom?"
He thought so in his heart.
It's indeed quite possible. Human history is a history of migration, and Wizards are no exception, with the changing of times and faith. With the decline of Egyptian civilization, many ancient families chose to migrate elsewhere. The Prince family, carrying the Sun's contract, perhaps continued their lineage and mission on new lands.
As Ian was pondering.
The Sun God suddenly asked, "Since you're here, how about meeting the Princes of this era? They occupy significant positions in the Sun Divine Hall."
Ian was startled by the words, sharply catching the deeper meaning behind Ra's words: "Your Majesty... You know I don't belong to this era?"
Ra's smile carried mysterious wisdom: "Perhaps uncertain at first, but now I can clearly sense that you are out of sync with this era. The way the threads of time wrap around you is unique, like a pattern stitched wrong across temporal space. Even for a God, this would be hard to detect."
