Chapter 19 - CHAPTER 19: OTHER PLAYERS ON THE BOARD

In another part of Draco's Ville, amidst the towering skyscrapers and opulent estates, resides the esteemed Green family. They are one of the most influential and affluent families in the city, with a vast portfolio of properties and businesses. Green Realty, their flagship company, has been a cornerstone of the local real estate industry for decades. Harrison Green, the patriarch, and his wife Victoria, have five children living with them in their luxurious villa.

Here's the family:

- Noah Green (26): Head of Security at Green Realty, married to Rhea Benjamin, has two children, Brian (4) and Sophia (2).

- Isaac Green (22): single, studying business in college.

Zoe Green (20): HR Director at Green Realty, married to Alex Wilson, has twin girls who are (3), Tiffany and Katie .

Jack Green (19): single, college athlete, and quite the ladies' man.

Marlena Green (18): in high school, passionate about fashion, in a relationship with her girlfriend Samantha Logan.

But On this night, Harrison Green sat in his study reading one of his favorite books. A warm smile was plastered on his face; in front of him, under the desk between his legs, a maid was busy with her task, moving her head up and down.

Suddenly, one of his bodyguards burst through the door, a panic-stricken look on his face.

He Knelt down before Harrison. "Forgive the interruption, Master Green, but there's something that requires your immediate attention," the guard said, a cold sweat forming on his face.

"Wait, before you say anything else, I have something to finish first," Harrison said then he let out a satisfied grunt. After that he reached under the desk and grabbed the young maid then he threw her onto the ground. "Clean yourself up and get out, and don't mention anything that happened here, otherwise you'll be dead," he said to her, a cold glint in his eyes as he Zipped up his pants.

The young maid nodded, tears forming in her eyes. "I didn't even want to do this, but you forced me into it" she thought to herself not Dearing to say it out loud.

She grabbed some tissues and wiped the white substance from off her face, her hands shaking as she tried to compose herself.

After she was finished, she left the room in a hurry, her footsteps fading into the distance as she made her escape. Harrison's gaze followed her, his expression unreadable. "Now," he said, turning back to the guard, "what's this urgent matter?"

"Michael Griffith, the mechanic, is dead. He and his crew were found murdered in the auto shop this morning," the Guard said.

Harrison rolled his eyes. "Okay! And why would I care about some grease monkey who's not even worthy to sweep the floor I walk on?"

The guard swallowed hard. "Because, sir, this grease monkey, as you put it, is the one who's been laundering the money for us. He's also the one we've been using to traffic people across the globe."

Harrison's eyes turned bloodshot as he shouted, "What?! Why didn't you say something sooner? Do we know who killed them?"

The police had some suspects in custody earlier tonight, but for some reason, they managed to escape, leaving the police baffled. The guard said, clearing his throat.

"I don't care about that. Show me the footage from the auto shop now," Harrison said, his eyes bloodshot.

The guard nodded as he stood up and pulled a flash drive from his pocket. He inserted it into Harrison Green's computer. Harrison watched the video of the warehouse auto shop. He saw Mike and his crew talking to someone. Shortly after, they were celebrating a big haul. Then suddenly, the cameras went black for 10 minutes. When they came back on, Mike and his entire crew were dead. The last thing that was heard was ominous whistling before the video cut off.

Harrison Green sat back in his chair. "This is an interesting turn of events. It would appear we are not dealing with somebody normal... Oh no, this is somebody from the underworld," Harrison spat with certainty, a cold smile forming on his face.

A chill ran down the guard's spine as he heard what Harrison said. "Master Green, what should we do now?" he asked.

Harrison raised an eyebrow, his smile growing colder. "I'll fight fire with fire. Summon one of the 13 Reapers."

The 13 Reapers of the Constellation... a cabal of shadowy mercenaries, lurkin' in the darkest corners, known only to the Green family. They're the family's dirty hands, carryin' out the most unspeakable tasks with ruthless precision. They are similar to the Core from the Wright family, but far more... unrelentless. The Reapers are the stuff of nightmares, their allegiance unbreakable, their methods unforgiving. If the Greens summon one, someone's walking into the shadows... and let's just say they are not coming back.

The guard nodded, his eyes locked on Harrison, and he split to grab the phone. Harrison leaned back, fingers steepled, waiting for the connection to the Reapers' handler...

As the phone rang, Harrison drummed his fingers on his desk, waiting for someone to answer. Finally, somebody answered, speaking with a sweet tone of voice. The spark – using a code that only AGreen family member would understand.

"Hello, star meals delivery service, how may I help you?"

Harrison Green smiled, his response sharp. "I'd like to place an order for a Golden Star meal, and I'd like it delivered to my address tonight, ASAP."

The voice on the phone asked, "Okay Sir that could be a ranged.... would you like your meal to be with extra virgin olive oil... or without?"

Harrison smiled sinisterly. "I'll take it with the extra virgin olive oil. Make sure it's... dripping."

"Okay, sir. Expect your delivery at 10 p.m and do try to enjoy the rest of your night." The voice on the phone said, then the call ended.

Harrison checked his watch and saw it was– 9:50 PM. Excellent. We only have to wait for 10 minutes, and the Reaper will arrives.

10 minutes later. A black snake slivered out of the shadows, across the ground, into Harrison Green's office. It stopped in front of him and transformed into a beautiful young woman. She was dressed like an assassin, her clothing looking like it was made from snake skins. She knelt down in front of Harrison, speaking with a smooth and silky voice. "Greetings, Master Green. I'm Ophiuchus, the Serpent... and I'm here to serve you."

Harrison's expression turned cold, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes. "I need you to investigate. One of my underlings died on my watch, and it looks like he was taken out by someone from the Underworld. I want you to find that person and find out why they killed him."

Ophiuchus's eyes gleamed with understanding, her voice dripping with intent. "Understood, Master Green. It shall be done."

Harrison smiled, then he gave a file to Ophiuchus. "This file contains five of the suspects the police had in custody. Find them first. They may be the key to this entire mess."

Ophiuchus nodded. "Understood. And after I've abstracted the information from them, what would you like me to do with them?"

Harrison's tone was nonchalant. "Well, they won't be of any use to me anymore, so... kill them."

Ophiuchus nodded, a sly smile creeping onto her lips as she vanished into the shadows, leaving behind a faint whisper of scales on the floor. The darkness swallowed her whole, and she was gone.
