Chapter 236 - Chapter 235 Boom ~ Hahahaha!

The elites dispatched by the Ursus Third Group Army prepared to forcibly break through this continuous stretch of ice walls. As a result, they focused on what was ahead and forgot what was beneath their feet, allowing W to show them the ruthlessness of the battlefield.

This team, along with the support forces that followed, was completely engulfed by the chain of intricate traps W had laid on this path.

Kanna, who had witnessed all of this from a nearby rooftop, took out her communicator to contact Amiya's side.

"This is Kanna. The enemy pursuit team has been confirmed wiped out. The enemy has currently paused their pursuit. I am preparing to evacuate."

"Hahahaha... Can you tell me what their expressions were like before they died! I bet they were excellent..." W's arrogant laughter came through the communicator. It seemed this wave of explosions finally released the frustration she had accumulated recently.

"...It was indeed a rather spectacular landmine placement. I think you'd be quite good at playing the clown..." Kanna shook her head, looking at the scarred street from the chain explosions, and then jumped from the building towards outside the city.

At this point, everyone had evacuated Chernobog. After communicating with Patriot, they prepared to take these Refugees to the nearby ruined city. According to Kanna's information, Rhodes Island's support helicopter would also drop supplies there.

They had left in a great hurry this time and needed to go to the ruined city to rest and reorganize, then arrange the destination for the non-Infected.

As for the Infected, when they weren't Infected, everyone proudly called themselves Ursus people. But once they became Infected, everyone understood how terrifying Ursus's attitude towards the Infected was. Their former homeland no longer welcomed them, and staying in Ursus offered almost no better outcome than being sent to the mines to work until death.

So, even without being told, the Infected would choose to leave with Patriot's group and Rhodes Island.

Regarding the resettlement plan, after contacting Kal'tsit later, Kal'tsit provided two locations.

One was Kazdel, bordering Ursus.

After the War of Two Kings, the land of Kazdel was desolate. There was enough space here to support these homeless Ursus people. However, Kazdel's instability was also evident; no one knew if the peaceful land one moment would become a battlefield where two sides fought to the death the next.

The other was Iberia, which was very far away.

Due to Kanna's previous involvement, Rhodes Island and Iberia were currently in a honeymoon period, and Iberia did not discriminate excessively against the Infected. So, as long as they could reach there safely, living a stable life for the rest of their days would not be a problem.

But the difficulty was that it was very far from Iberia, and the shortest route would require passing through Kazdel, Siracusa, and Laterano.

Laterano was manageable; although it didn't allow Infected to reside, it was unlikely they would be overly difficult if they were just passing through. However, Kazdel and Siracusa were two very problematic regions.

No one would believe that so many people passing through these two already very chaotic places wouldn't encounter problems.

After the Rhodes Island group successfully evacuated Chernobog, everyone was still somewhat worried about Kanna, who had stayed behind. W even mocked, asking when Rhodes Island had developed a tradition of having child soldiers cover the rear.

Then they saw Kanna perform a 'divine descent' from a city wall several thousand meters high.

"Cough, cough, cough! Pfft, pfft... Why is there so much dust even after it rained in winter..." Kanna complained about being covered in mud and dust while shaking it off.

"Uh, could it be because you jumped from too high a place?" Seeing the deep pit where Kanna's entire ankle was submerged, the Doctor fell into contemplation... W glanced in the direction Kanna had jumped from, and even in this deep winter, she couldn't help but gasp.

"Damn it, they all say I'm crazy, but I think you're crazier than me! At that height, if ten people jumped, eleven would be splattered into meat paste."

"Let's evacuate quickly. There's more than one road leading out of Chernobog. If this one is blocked, the people inside will come down from other intersections. We're already slow with so many Refugees; if we delay any longer, we'll probably be caught dead by the enemy. And once they discover Talulah is with us, we won't be able to leave." Just as everyone felt a sense of relief at finally leaving Chernobog, Ascalon, who was in charge of watching Talulah and Crownslayer, spoke up.

Hearing Ascalon's words, everyone realized with a start that it was not time to rest and quickly resumed their journey.

However, with so many Refugees, not only was their movement greatly affected, but they also had no way to conceal themselves.

The pursuing enemies could pinpoint Rhodes Island's direction of advance without any reconnaissance.

Soon, the enemy's pursuit force followed closely behind.

"We won't get away like this. Leave this girl to me; we'll hold them off." W jumped onto a hill and surveyed the Ursus army trailing behind the group, not attacking but merely keeping their distance. After seeing the crowd, which had become unstable upon realizing they were being pursued, she sighed and pointed at Kanna, saying.

The Doctor thought about it. His side had limited personnel. Among the strongest, Ascalon and Patriot had to keep a close eye on Talulah and Crownslayer. Frostnova was clearing the path at the very front of the team. Saria, the Sharp Squad, the Shieldguard, and the Mudrock Squad were all together maintaining the current pace. ACE and the other three members of SWEEP had to stay by him and Amiya as guards. Therefore, the only one who could be sent to block the pursuers and be effective was indeed Kanna.

So he agreed to W's request. After all, given Kanna's strength, even if W had any ulterior motives, she could easily resolve them. Furthermore, Kanna had left a Thunderbolt Wedge in his hand before she left, and with the existence of the Electro Seed, he was confident he could hold out until Kanna returned, even if ambushed.

After the team had moved away, W extended her hand towards Kanna.

?

Kanna tilted her head and looked at W.

"That thing, when you throw it out, it turns into something that looks like you! I'm sure that thing is definitely not a manufactured item, so it can only be an effect of your arts!" W looked at the approaching pursuers, growing impatient.

"It's on the back of your head. When you're done, take it out from your eye. Remember to recite 'Eternal Grandeur of the Narukami' before you take it out. That's the trigger condition, but you can only have one at a time. You have to use one before you can get a new one."

Kanna pointed to the back of W's head. After leaving the team, she had added the Thunder Punishment Evil Star Eye to her. However, this thing was at the back of the head, and without a reminder, most people wouldn't easily notice it.

Hearing Kanna's words, W unceremoniously took one, then reached out again, seemingly intending to stock up and use them liberally.
