Noah realized he had to act fast before Naya did something they would both regret. He quickly chased after her, catching up just as she reached the front door. He grabbed her hand firmly to hold her back. "Naya, stop. Just forget it," Noah said, his voice urgent.
"I have already signed the agreement. When I realized there was no way out of this, I didn't just give up. I asked him for a million dollars as payment for my service as his spouse. I have already collected half of that money, Naya. Five hundred thousand is already in my account."
