Five minutes later, the doorbell rang.
I knew it must be the delivery of the medicinal herbs.
Opening the door, I found several people standing outside. There were no delivery workers; instead, there were two elderly men and a young girl.
The three were holding a large pile of herbs, and there was also a neatly arranged stack on the floor.
I recognized two of them as Larry Martin and his granddaughter Stephanie Martin.
As for the other elderly man, I didn't know him, but from the aura of the other, I could tell they were of the same ilk.
"Mr. Martin, don't tell me your Charity Hall can't even afford workers, bringing this personally?" I joked.
Mr. Martin smiled awkwardly and explained, "Mr. Johnson, we didn't intend to disturb you, but we were really afraid the workers might not handle the herbs properly, so I personally brought Stephanie and a friend here... If we've disturbed you, please forgive us."
"Come in then."
I invited the three inside.
