Adrian sighed, almost dramatically. His lips curled up, his eyes glistened with that familiar twinge of amusement as he spoke. "I didn't mean it that way. If you said you are fit then I have nothing to say."
I let out a sharp exhale, forcing myself to take a quick inventory of my body.
Aside from the lingering soreness in my muscles, there was nothing wrong.
The supposed gunshot wound was already healed—so completely that it almost felt unreal. What exactly was there to worry about?
