Chapter 446 - Chapter 446: Let Bulma Give Him Some Guidance

"Let me think!"

Bulma rubbed her forehead. Her sister had personally asked her for help, so what else could she do? She could only bite the bullet and think of something.

"I met Goku when we were children. Back then, we searched for the Dragon Balls together and fought against Pilaf. Later, Goku seemed to become Master Roshi's disciple…"

"The 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, the Red Ribbon Army…"

Bulma folded her arms across her chest, frowning as she continuously muttered to herself.

Vegeta and Tights exchanged a glance. Although they were both somewhat confused by what Bulma was talking about, neither dared interrupt her.

"Goku's grandfather, Master Roshi, Korin, Kami, Mr. Popo, King Kai…"

As she continued listing names...

Bulma suddenly planted both hands on the table and shot to her feet.

"What is it?"

Vegeta swallowed nervously. Had she figured something out?

"Didn't I tell you before that Goku used the Gravity Chamber to train?"

"Yes!"

Vegeta nodded vigorously. Bulma had only told him about it back then because of Tights.

And the Gravity Chamber's effects had been astonishing. Without it, he might not even have half the strength he possessed now.

"When you trained, did you train alone?"

"Yes. Is there a problem with that?"

"Wait. My sister told me that you used to spend all your time training by yourself too, right?"

"Uh… That's right!"

"Then I think I know why you've remained so weak all this time."

Bulma sat back down in her chair, her expression becoming rather peculiar.

"Why?" Vegeta asked excitedly.

Tights was stunned as well. She had only casually asked her sister to help Vegeta find the reason behind his weakness.

After all, her sister was a scientist. How could she possibly understand martial arts?

"Then I'll tell you."

Bulma looked at the two of them.

"Although I don't understand martial arts, I do know one thing. If someone wants to become stronger, they absolutely cannot do without a teacher!"

"Just like how I became a top scientist. Sure, it's because I have an exceptionally high IQ, but I also couldn't have gotten here without my father's guidance…"

A teacher?!

Vegeta and Tights exchanged another glance.

"Vegeta, do you know how many teachers Goku has had throughout his life?"

"…"

How the hell was he supposed to know that?

Vegeta's mouth twitched.

"Actually, I don't know exactly how many teachers Goku has had either. But I do know that every time Goku entered a new stage of his life, he would encounter a new teacher. And it was precisely because these teachers constantly guided him that he was able to become stronger again and again!"

Bulma finally looked directly at Vegeta.

"But you… You've always trained by yourself, shutting yourself away from everyone else. That makes it impossible for you to see the flaws in your own abilities. I'd say there's a very good chance that this is also why you became so arrogant!"

Vegeta: "…"

After losing to Son Gohan, Vegeta already knew that he had been far too arrogant in the past.

But hearing someone say it so bluntly still left him both embarrassed and humiliated.

Tights, meanwhile, was struggling to hold back her laughter.

To be fair, Vegeta really had been incredibly arrogant in the past.

"You can't see your own shortcomings, and there's no one around to guide you. As a result, those flaws only become more pronounced over time. Perhaps that's the reason you've always been unable to surpass Goku!"

With that, Bulma reached her conclusion.

And honestly, there was a reason Bulma had become one of the greatest scientists in the world!

Her intelligence was frighteningly sharp. Her analysis had perfectly identified the difference between Son Goku and Vegeta's respective paths of growth.

One had received guidance from countless masters since childhood. His martial arts foundation was frighteningly solid, giving him an incredibly bright future in martial arts.

The other spent every day burying himself in solitary training. His combat talent was certainly extraordinary, but his foundation was extremely weak.

And that weak foundation simply wasn't enough to support him in building a towering "skyscraper."

This was precisely why Vegeta had always remained the perennial runner-up.

"Is that really it?!"

Vegeta's mouth hung open after hearing Bulma's conclusion.

Soon, he fell deep into thought.

Bulma didn't say another word. She knew she was right.

Tights also didn't dare disturb Vegeta, because even she felt that her sister's analysis made perfect sense.

After a while...

"So that's it… That's what it was all along!"

Vegeta slowly opened his eyes. A look of realization flashed through them.

"Bulma, thank you!"

Vegeta bowed deeply toward Bulma.

"Huh?"

Tights covered her mouth in surprise. She hadn't expected Vegeta to give Bulma such a formal bow.

Bulma smiled.

"What? Judging by that reaction, does this mean you accept what I said?"

"Yeah."

Vegeta nodded. He smiled bitterly.

"Before I came to Earth, it never even occurred to me to seek out any of those teachers you mentioned. I always believed there was no one in this world qualified to become my teacher."

Bulma and Tights exchanged a glance.

Just listen to him!

No wonder everyone thought he was arrogant.

"Your analysis is correct…"

Vegeta raised his head and stared at the sky.

"I used to think I was invincible. Looking back now, I realize that I was simply too arrogant."

"Take Gran, for example. He's become so powerful, and that definitely has something to do with Lord Beerus and Whis teaching him."

"If I had teachers like them guiding me, then even if I couldn't surpass Gran, I certainly wouldn't be weaker than Son Goku!"

After saying those words...

Vegeta's entire demeanor seemed to change.

He no longer carried that same overwhelming arrogance. Instead, there was even a hint of humility in him.

Bulma pursed her lips.

She had expected this guy to say that if Whis and the others had taught him, he definitely wouldn't be weaker than Lord Gran.

Still, this was good enough.

At least he knew how to show a little humility!

Bulma finally found herself feeling slightly less annoyed by the guy.
