"Am I truly the puny one or are you?" Sera asked infuriated. She stepped closer, invading his space deliberately now.
"You want to risk it? You really want to risk the lives of everyone under this roof because what…because he listens to you?" His hands clenched at his sides. This was the truth he couldn't escape. His life had never been his own, and the idea of gambling it on hope made his stomach twist.
Sera sucked in a breath at that. "Just give him a voice. That's all I ask. Maybe go in the cage and connect with him if that will help you feel it would be safer. But…Eric, I feel him in here." She stepped forward again, pressing her palm to her chest, right over her heart.
