Chapter 549 - Chapter 548 - A Simple Wedding

"Tiga, Gai—no, Cain—once told me that there are moments when you regain clarity."

Yuzare did not think Yu Zhou was boasting.

Compared to Tiga, who once annihilated all the Giants of Light in a single campaign, Gatanothor's combat power was simply not on the same level.

"You should know this," Yu Zhou said calmly, ignoring her words, "if I were not here, you would already be dead. Cthulhu has not truly perished."

"The King of Darkness… no, that title belongs to Tiga now."

Yuzare instantly understood his meaning.

Cthulhu loathed light. If Tiga had not stood before her, she would never have survived this long.

"Tiga… I will wait for the moment when you awaken."

From this exchange, Yuzare clearly realized something.

Tiga, Camearra, Hudra, and Darramb were still under the influence of darkness.

Trying to persuade them while they remained in this state was completely futile.

Camearra, Hudra, and Darramb never possessed moments of complete clarity like Tiga did.

From the moment they became Dark Giants, they only differed in the degree of corruption, never freedom from it.

According to Cain, the Dark Temple itself further amplified the residual corruption left behind by Cthulhu, ensuring that they would never truly awaken.

At best, regression would only return them to their earliest state as Dark Giants.

Only Tiga was different.

Even when he was a Dark Giant, Tiga had been lucid—his heart unmistakably inclined toward light.

That clarity was Yuzare's only chance.

Outside the Dark Temple, Yuzare sat quietly, gazing into the abyss of chaos.

Above or below, there was no distinction—only endless grey distortion.

There was no day, no night.

From time to time, Zoigers flew through the abyss, yet none dared approach the temple itself, as if terrified of the presence within.

Days passed.

Months passed.

Yuzare did not know what had become of the outside world, nor how Cain and the others on the Moon were faring.

She had only one purpose—

to wait until Tiga awakened, and turn him completely into light.

Finally, her chance arrived.

Standing just inside the temple gates, Yu Zhou looked at Yuzare in silence.

Having temporarily freed himself from the influence of darkness, he had come here of his own will.

Yuzare had been waiting.

"Tiga… you came."

She stepped inside the gate, exhaling slowly.

At last.

"I'm here," Yu Zhou nodded. "Sooner than I expected."

Gijera blooming.

Gatanothor descending.

The fall of the Ultra-Ancient Civilization…

All of it converged upon this moment.

And now—

Dark Tiga would step toward the light.

"Tiga," Yuzare said, meeting his pale, luminescent eyes, "darkness can be transformed into light. If you wish to leave the seal of this temple, you must convert the darkness within you."

"So that's how it is…"

Yu Zhou was not excited. His tone remained calm.

The reason he was sealed here was the primordial darkness of Cthulhu within his body.

If that darkness were transformed into light and made his own, the stellar seal would lose all effect on him.

Yet hesitation filled his mind.

He could convert darkness.

But Camearra and the others could not.

If he left the temple… what would become of Camearra?

"The priority is to cleanse the corruption within them," Yu Zhou decided.

If he could help Camearra transform, the seal would no longer bind her either.

"Tiga," Yuzare warned softly, "the conversion of darkness must be voluntary. Without clarity, they will resist it."

"I will help them," Yu Zhou replied, shaking his head.

"…Then it rests with you," Yuzare said, nodding.

The more light, the better.

The Dark Temple

Yu Zhou stepped slowly into the inner hall.

His silver-black body reflected an unknown radiance, gleaming faintly.

Dark red energy coiled around the pillars like flowing ribbons.

Camearra stood beneath the obsidian throne, a dark-gold crown upon her head.

"Today," she said, "is our wedding day."

"It may be simple—but it is worth celebrating."

Her black energy-formed gown trailed across the floor as she approached him.

Yu Zhou walked toward her as well.

Hudra and Darramb stood to the side, serving as witnesses.

Even Dark Giants had moments worth celebrating.

"Tiga… will you stay with me forever?"

Camearra held his silver hands and looked into his eyes.

"Camearra…"

Yu Zhou froze.

In history, Tiga sealed Camearra and the others and embraced the light.

And now—he stood at that very turning point.

Would he truly repeat that fate?

"No. I will never betray you."

He pulled her into his arms and whispered,

"Camearra, no matter what happens, believe me. We will remain together."

"I believe you."

She embraced him in return.

After a long moment, they parted.

A simple wedding.

Few witnesses.

Hudra.

Darramb.

Perhaps Yuzare beyond the temple.

And even Cthulhu, watching from the dimensional void.

Seated together upon the obsidian throne, Yu Zhou held Camearra close.

"Camearra… I will save you."

Yet his thoughts drifted forward—to the future, to his own world.

The Camearra before him and the Camearra of the future were one and the same.

Only now did he fully understand why, after her revival, her hatred for Tiga ran so deep—

And why she was still able to forgive him.

Because she truly loved him.

Without Yu Zhou's intervention, Camearra would have been destroyed by Daigo in the Final Holy War.

But now—

As Tiga himself, wielding absolute power, Yu Zhou could erase enemies with a gesture.

Saving future Camearra was no longer difficult.

Even if the light particles were locked on Earth—

Even if they drifted beyond the universe—

He would retrieve them.

Without fail.
