On a beach Izuku and Kagami could be seen sparing with each other. Kagami aimed a kick towards the head which was meet with an arm block in return. Izuku then fired multiple punches in quick succession seeing Kagami open for attack.
However Kagami surprised Izuku bending his body unnaturally to avoid the punches. "Hey, no fair you're using your quirk!"
"That's the point we're supposed to be testing our abilities, If I don't use my quirk how will you be able to learn?" Kagami took the opportunity to sweep Izuku's legs making him fall onto the sand. "Ow!"
"Plus, you have almost no survival instincts whatsoever Mr. I run into danger without a second thought." Kagami offered his hand which Izuku took and pulled himself up, "By the way where's All Might? I thought he'd be her to congratulate you on finishing the beach two weeks early."
Izuku and Kagami walked across the once trash filled landscape of Dakota Beach. The land look serene now that the trash was gone, the waves sparkled in a dazzling sapphire light.
"I don't know he said he was going to be here, but he did sound kinda busy with something when I called him in the morning," the two sat down on a blanket under an umbrella, Yano was also there in his beach clothes lounging on a beach chair and a book on his face hiding the fact he was asleep.
"Well, he better arrive here soon rather than later I'm starting to get worried about skin," Izuku looked confused as he took out a bottle of water from a cooler box, "Your skin looks fine to me."
"Of course that's what you would say," Kagami sighed taking out a bottle of water as well,"These harmful UV rays are damaging my skin. I'll practically be an old man by the time I'm finished here"
"But didn't you say your grandmother's side of the family had really good genes to the point that she still looks young dispite her age because of a quirk one of your family members had that slowed down their aging and the effects were transferred through the generations at a lesser extent and also your grandfather's quirk that keeps him at his top physical form even if he doesn't train which is also true for you. Honestly since you have those two things going for you I don't expect you to get a great hair until you're in your-Ow!" Kagami hit Izuku hard in the back of his head smacking him out of his rambling state.
"Spare me the details of my family's unnatural youthful appearances," Kagami turned around to the steps of the building, "Also All Might has arrived."
All Might was on the stairs in his civilian form, "Ah! All Mi-Ow!" Izuku received the second smack of the day, "Do you want everyone to know that All Might is here?"
"Ah...I didn't think of that.." Izuku rubbed the back of his head.
"Hahahaha! Hello, you Hoshino I assume your exams went well yesterday?" All Might asked with a smile except in his civilian form it looked like a skeleton wrapped in skin, "Your smile isn't as effective as it is in your hero form. But yes I'd say they went well I should be getting the results at the end of the week."
All Might was stunned at Kagami's statement about his smile but decided to ignore it, "Ah, that's good then. I hope to see you succeed."
"Naturally." Kagami has a smug grin on his face as All Might looked around the beach in astonishment.
"Ahh… All Might… I did it… I did it!" Izuku stands up proudly showing the clean beach, "Yeah, you surprised me, you little super star! Teenagers sure are amazing!" All Might holds his phone out for Midoriya.
"Here, take a look." Midoriya sees the picture of himself from the first day of training. "This is…"
"It's you, crying, ten months ago!" All Might puts his phone away and examines Izuku's body, "You did good kid. You really did!"
"The mirage of it is finally just barely visible, but you have finally become a suitable vessel!" Izuku's eyes start to water, "Ahh… I feel like I'm cheating…"
"Huh?" All Might looks at Izuku with a raised eyebrow, "You did all this for me…you put so much time and energy into helping me..." Izuku begins to cry. "I'm too blessed…"
"Hahahaha…" All Might laughs putting his hand on Izuku's shoulder, "What're you saying after all this time? It was your own hard work."
" We'll have to fix those leaky eyes of yours!" Kagami snorted at that comment, "Please, be my guest. I've only been trying for two years now."
Izuku turns to Kagami wiping his tears away, "It's not like I can help it!" Kagami sighs drawing something in a book, "Uh huh, sure." Izuku looks at him with exasperation, "Kagami..."
All Might smiles at the two.
"Now, it's time for the award ceremony, Izuku Midoriya! The two turn their focus back to All Might, "Yes, sir!" All Might pulls out a strand of his hair.
"This is something I was once told: 'Something that you receive because you're lucky and something you are given because you are recognized are different in essence.'"
"Take that to heart, Young Midoriya." Izuku slowly extended his hand, "This is power that you earned because of your own effort."
"Now, Eat this!" Kagami and Izuku both looked stunned at All Might, "Hair?" They both exclaimed.
"Well to inherit my power you have to swallow some of my DNA that's how it works." Kagami looked at the strand of hair in pure repulsion, "As if I needed another reason to be glad he didn't choose me to be his successor."
All Might looked dejected, "Hey, what wrong with being my successor?" He did not receive an answer as Kagami completely ignored him do go back to drawing.
"Well, it doesn't really matter what it is as long as you take in my DNA!" Izuku examined the hair before taking it, "It's too different from what I imagined!"
"Yeah, I thought that to when I was in your shoes," Izuku swallowed the hair after some time, "It should kick in after two to three hours."
"Since Izuku's done with his training what now?" Kagami asked not taking his focus off of his current task,"Well, he finished two weeks early so I guess he could start training to use One For All."
"And where exactly i he supposed to do that? Your quirk is extremely powerful so you can't use I in a place with a lot of people."
"Uh... Well, I haven't thought of place yet." All Might scratched his neck nervously, "We could go on my place, if you want."
Izuku and All Might stared at Kagami in surprise, even Yano woke up from his sleep, "Young Master Kagami, is inviting a friend over?" Yano glared at Kagami and quickly checked his forehead, "Are you having heat stroke, perhaps you spent too much time in the sun."
Kagami slapped the hand away from his forehead, "I'm perfectly fine Yano, this is for Izuku's betterment, I am simply providing necessary assistance that is all." Kagami scoffed.
All Might cleared his throat, "Uh, okay then I'll speak to them about it." He looked at his phone, "I'll see you all later, right now I've got something to do."
All Might waved them goodbye and left. Two boys stayed at the beach enjoying the cold sea water and sparing from time to time.
The next day Kagami was in his home patiently waiting for All Might and Izuku's arrival.
"You know Yuri I was worried about Kagami but I think he's starting to really open up," Tsuyoshi held a very irritated Kagami around his arms, "Normally he would have attacked me by now but he's not even complaining."
Yuri didn't even need to use her quirk nor look with her eyes to tell Kagami was angered by Tsuyoshi's actions, "Well you better let him go before he does."
"Hahahaha! He can try but he knows he can't hurt me, I'm his precious grandfather after all," Tsuyoshi laughed, "Plus he made promise to behave himself so Izuku could train here."
"Yes, who knew Kagami had a soft spot for his best friend," Yuri drank her tea thinking of something, "It's sad that that he doesn't hold us in the same regard."
The door to the living room opened to show Yano escorting Izuku and All Might, "Lady Hoshino, Master Itsuro, Young Master Kagami your guests have arrived." He bowed before taking his leave.
"Ah... hello, sir, miss," Izuku nervously bowed down to be two adults in the room. "Sensei, Aunty, it's good to see you," All Might bowed as well.
Tsuyoshi stood up, "Oh, come now you two. You don't need those formalities with us, Toshi your basically a son to me and Izuku's your Kagami's only friend stop with the sir an miss call us grandpa Tsuyoshi and grandma Yuri."
Kagami wanted to retort but could not as per his agreement, "Uh... okay grandpa Tsuyoshi," Izuku blushed.
"Oh, isn't he cute. An open book too." Yuri smiled, "I've always wanted a grandchild who I didn't need to use my quirk on."
Kagami stood up, "How about we get to training." His face had a forced smile and a vein popped on his forehead.
"Nonsense, they just arrived they should atleast eat first." Kagami rushed to escort them out of the room, "They can eat outside the view is wonderful with a good meal."
"Oh what a great idea, we can all go outside and have a sort of picnic," Yuri smiled standing up to follow.
"I'll tell Mio and Shinobu to organise it." Kagami sighed internally and lead every to the back. The back of the mansion had a beautiful garden and a water fountain in the middle. Hundreds of different flowers decorated it.
Izuku stared at it in astonishment which quickly turned into worry, "Wait are we going to train here?"
"No," Kagami pointed into a forest of trees at the end on the garden, a path was paved into the ground, "There's a large clearing over there, far away from the garden, that's where you are going to train."
They walked down the path for about thirty minutes before arriving at a large clearing, there was training equipment that had been moved to the sides in advance.
Kagami turned around to face Izuku and All Might, "Welcome to the training grounds."
