The rooftop door suddenly swung open with a loud bang and just then,a figure stepped inside making Fred and Gabe's hearts dropped.
It was Damien.
He stood there with a calm, almost unreadable expression on his face.
Fuck. Did he just hear what I said? Did he hear that I'm pregnant?! Fred thought, swallowing hard as his throat suddenly went dry.
None of them spoke. The air grew thick, heavy with tension, as the three of them stared at one another in a silent battle of nerves. Gabe's jaw tightened. Fred's fingers curled into the fabric of his shirt.
Finally, Damien cleared his throat.
A warm smile slowly appeared on his face....gentle, easy, almost playful.
